Pros +
- Location and room sizd
- Is very clean and close to the zocalo.
- What a wonderful place! It was right in the middle of everything. The hotel is beautiful. It can be very hot outside but it is so pleasant inside. It is VERY quiet - as soon as the door on the street is closed, all the noise is gone. Our A/C stopped working two nights before the end of our stay, but the staff just gave us a new room (two doors down) and we quickly moved into the new room. The staff spoke very little English, but we did communicate getting a 3:30am cab on our departure date. We never quite understood when the restaurant was open. We had an early excursion and asked if we could get early coffee - the next morning, there was someone at the restaurant with coffee!
Cons -
- The bed was too hard . My hips were sore in morning
- Kind of expensive for a small room.
- Our AC broke and we had to change rooms. I didn't even notice it during the night. It wasn't until I stepped out and came back in when I could tell it was humid and warm in the room. The 2' thick walls really keep the place cool

Well-located with a pleasant staff
The restaurant was marginal in their offerings. Fortunately, the best bakery in town was a block away-Bolenc
Perfect location for exploring Oaxaca on foot. Very comfortable room with good wi-fi, AC, super clean, and great bed. Complimentary water bottles every day and daily cleanings.
Perfect location - walkable to all parts of the city. Very, very quiet so no trouble sleeping
The rooms are around a beautiful indoor courtyard so you do not get any natural sunlight without opening your door. Not a big deal but it may bother some people.
Perfect location in the central city of Oaxaca de Juárez. The staff were kind and very helpful. The cafe makes a great breakfast. The hotel was lovely and very very clean. We very much enjoyed our stay. We would book there again.
Only challenge was we needed and extra towel for the floor - due to some water running from the shower. No big deal at all.
We really enjoy our stay, everyone was very friendly and helpful, they keep rooms very clean.
We have a rental car, and we have to park the car every night at the parking lot at or after 8:00pm and pick up the car each morning by 8:00am, I recommend visitors that you do not rent a car since you will not need it since you have everything there with walking distance.
The location was very clean and close to el centro . The restaurant at the hotel was nice and clean . The food was delicious!
The location was ideal for seeing the city. And, the colonial era construction was unexpectedly beautiful. The open air courtyards were awesome.
No complaints at all.
Just the location , nothing else.
The pictures are a facade; the room has the minimum, the bed is too hard, they could get better pillows and the worst the shower/bathroom very outdated the faucets opposite side the shower spread the whole bathroom, humidity. I took pictures to prove it. The only worth in the room is the housekeeper service but that's all. Most people at the reception don't speak another language.
Friendly staff and clean facility,
Mattress was the next worst thing to sleeping on a brick. I wish breakfast was included and the quality of the food we purchased was better. The coffee we purchased in the morning wasn't the best. Communication with the hotel was poor prior to arrival. We sent messages via Booking.com and received no answer.
The hotel was a huge disappointment. They charged an additional $300 pesos per room to check in early, even though rooms were ready. Electrical problems in each room. Expensive compared to other very nice hotels in the neighborhood. NO concerierge service or help with food.
Customer service was awful.
Great location, very walkable. Staff were helpful and very friendly.
Room was quite small, with no chair. Only place to sit was the bed. Luckily, there were sitting areas in the courtyard.
I don't understand why they offer a deluxe room if these are smaller than standard.Don't select deluxe is worse than standard., the space in the bathroom is super small. When I rent this hotel, it was in a sale that they put on the web and when you arrive, they keep saying you paid less than the rate. Because of this they don't treat you equally.
The size of the bathrooms they show us 3 rooms, and all are small
The room was clean. It was in a good location from which to wander the city.
Our room had only a small window opening to the courtyard, so you must keep the curtains pulled. There are only 3 small bulbs 'lighting' the room. It was so dark that we had to use our phone flashlights to find our things in the room. Unlike the bathroom in the pics, this bathroom was the size of a small closet. The nice glassed-in shown in the pictures shower was actually 1 meter long--a heavy person will have problems getting in and out (the opening is 1/2 of 1 meter) Turning on the water you had to stand out of the shower to avoid being scalded, and the bathroom floor flooded. Also be careful--you could easily scald yourself in the shower. The internet did not cover our room--we had to go out to the public areas. Sadly, even though they showed a nice courtyard, there was no nice seating area. The place seems to be ignored by the owner--the eclectic door locks don't work, and the electronics on the safe don't work either--we were given a key. I wish I had stayed at the hotel reflected in the pics. Kudos to the photographer for their skill--but it sure was disappointing. It's the kind of place that you book that you have to apologize to your wife for. Tough way to start a vacation.
it was clean
the tv in the first room we stayed at the first night didn’t work. then, the second night in a different room we stayed in, the AC was flowing in the entire room so it was really hotand my baby and i were extremely hot and sweaty and it made it uncomfortable
The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating to our every need, rooms were clean, the location was perfect walking distance to sites & restaurants, and the hotel courtyards were beautiful.
The hotel room we had worked out fine, but the lighting could be better.
wonderful 19th century boutique hotel…great location, large rooms and helpful staff.
Don’t take room 106.
The room size was generous. The king sized bed very comfortable. Lots of room to unpack. Roomy closet, desk and bedside tables with drawers, large arm chair and upholstered bench. Very quiet room with 10’ ceilings. Roomy bathroom.
Shower head sprayed everywhere and the water flowed into the bathroom.
