    • great room, hotel was really pretty, hotel was really well located
    • Great location for wandering the city, large comfortable rooms and the staff was very helpful. There were plenty of seating areas to gather with friends, and the breakfast was good, especially the fresh fruit.
    • Great location, comfortable beds.

    Cons -

    • TV was located far away from 1 of the beds
    • If you can’t climb stairs request a room on the first floor, but overall a lovely hotel.
    • Not sound proof. Can hear anything people say on the street. Also breakfast can take 1 hour to prepare.

Nice rooftop space for morning yoga. Good location for walks in old town center.

No hot water (COLD SHOWERS); room not sound-proof, in fact, open air windows above doors out into the hotel main floor (NO PRIVACY); no iron or ironing board for guests; parking is tough - no help from hotel on that; beds are small and mattresses were not so good - we did not sleep well. Our room had no outside window (suite on first floor).

I liked the room we were in. It had natural light and was very roomy. I loved the location of the hotel. The fruit at breakfast was very good.

I would say the hotel is upscale. Unfortunately, none of the staff I encountered spoke English. My biggest complaint would be the breakfast included with my rate. Only an American breakfast is included. One does get tired of eggs, etc for breakfast 6 days in a row. I would have liked to be able to order cereal or oatmeal or something else without having to pay to deviate from the American breakfast. Coffee is a staple around the world. Only 2 cups are included in the breakfast and the cups were watery and lukewarm. For a "made to order" breakfast, the bacon and toast were always cold. I would recommend opting for no breakfast and get breakfast somewhere else. It seems that many of their rooms have no natural light. We were fortunate to have natural light coming in.

Loved the location - you can’t beat it. Nice clean room that got serviced every day and the hotel provided a good breakfast. Recommend this hotel for anyone coming to the beautiful city of Oaxaca.

Highly recommend. Great location, clean, great breakfast, friendly staff.

    Nothing really.

Breakfast was a little confusing. God food, but not sure what it was costing. Turned out to be far less that I thought.

Wished they served food later in the day.

The proximity to the Centro was very ideal, with the markets and restaurants very close by, often just a walk away. The facilities were always clean and the staff would come in and make the beds and help upkeep the room every day.

I really enjoyed the peace and quiet that there is during the night.

They don't provide an iron in the room, even though they claim it's a city ordinance not to have irons in the rooms. I checked with city officials in Oaxaca, and this is not true. Furthermore, the cost for ironing clothes is, in my opinion, excessive.

Excellent location, comfortable room, good bathroom

Windowless room, and have to pay (didn’t) for a second cup of tea in the included breakfast.

More variety for your breakfast choices

Location; perfectly arranged room and bathroom with wonderful bathtub; excellent service and restaurant; complete privacy; safe for holding passport

We would have been here the whole time if the photos of our chosen room had not been so dark; the ad gave us the impression that the room might be subterrranean. It would have helped to know in advance that there were 24 steps up to the room, as my husband is elderly

Excellent location, close to the historic city center with easy access to museums, zocalo, galleries, and restaurants. Good sized room with counter space around the sink, hot water at the sink and shower, excellent breakfast options, comfortable common area.

Clean hotel with great staff and food

No privacy for bathroom. The door does not close completely. The beds and pillows were a bit hard

    Passable

The room wasn’t comfortable enough, very hot, the bed and pillows were bad. Tried to used the bar/rest one day at night, to eat something since we had spend all day out and we were very tired and at 8pm no one was there to serve. In general the hotel employees were very welcoming and nice. Thank you

This was a great place to stay for visting Oaxaca. We were within a short walk of the central square, with many restaurant alternatives available. It has a really nice place to sit on the roof. The rooms were large, well-appointed, and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. All the staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. There is really nothing but positive to say about our experience there, and, if we were to return to Oaxaca, we would re-book there without hesitation.

    Location

The staff is so indifferent and very unpleasant. We had a family situation where my child had to travel with us and were never willing to negotiate for a partial refund, change of dates, etc. when they could easily have said yes.

'I have stayed here before and have recommended the hotel to many people but not again

There was a total demolition taking place directly outside my hotel room window which began at 10pm and continued throughout the night. When I called the desk to complain they said it wasn't their fault and couldn't do anything about it.When I showed management the videos I took all night of the construction they were unwilling to refund me any of the money I'd paid and said I should've been offered a different room but that was not offered to me.
