    Pros +

    • The location near El Mercado 20 de Noviembre was ideal, especially with on-site parking. We were able to walk to dinner, around the zocalo, and were close to pedestrian pathways, which made walking much safer and more enjoyable. Check-in and -out was a breeze. The beds are comfortable and mobil, so you can pull to queens together to make a big bed. Water was comfortably warm. The terrace is beautiful, and we wish we would have spent more time up there.
    • Right next to the Zocolo but generally very quiet. There was some work going on and we did hear some music in the square but it did not disturb our sleep and it was also Day of the Dead, so you have to expect that. Just bring ear plugs and/or a noise maker. Water was provided and staff was always on site. Doors were locked after a certain hour and it always felt secure. It was very clean and tidy and the room had adequate space. A/C was also good. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Great location at a very reasonable price!
    • Very quiet. Great location. Comfortable bed and pillows.

    Cons -

    • There is limited shower ventilation, so mosquitos were a small problem. Plus, the bathroom was very small. Anyone taller than 6' might find it extremely uncomfortable to sit on the toilet with the towel rack above and the wall only several feet from the toilet. There is a club nearby, so you can hear the bass of the DJ's music until 3 am. We had a sound machine going, and could still hear it. The pillows may be too big for some people's preferences.
    • The bathroom was a bit tight. Lighting was adequate but a bit dim. Overall not a big issue and very good for Mexico.
    • A little tight getting in and out of the parking area.

Very quiet. Great location. Comfortable bed and pillows.

A little tight getting in and out of the parking area.

    Location

The bathroom was very small and the hot water took forever to come through. Also, they should replace the shower head and tap in the sink.

The location can’t be beat! Walking distance to main attractions. Free parking too! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The AC, wifi, and TV worked well.

The rooms are very basic. If all you need is a bed and a shower, then this is the place for you.

    Clean close to everything

    Room too small

The location is perfect, 4 blocks away to the major market, 1 block away from the city center. This is very convinient as there is no restaurant in the hotel. Overall, like 10 min walk to the main highlights. The facilities are very well conserved so it feels very cozy. Absolutely recommended. Also at the top floor there are some nice chairs to sit down and enjoy the view or just take the sun.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable

The aircon didnt work very well and the hot water service was a bit dodgy at first but they managed to sort it

the location is absolutely the best! especially if you are solo and want to explore both the day and the night, the safest option with amazing friendly staff available for 24/7.

Fantastic location, spacious and comfortable room. Lots of character. Helpful staff, especially as we arrived very early in the morning.

the location is fantastic, right in the center. very convenient

all was good. true that not having lift if you are in the second floor for luggage is a bit inconvenient. maybe someone could offer to help with the suitcases

Beautiful old hotel in great location in centre of town. Nice areas to sit outside.

I suspect that my room was the worst they had - for example it was the only one that didn't have a card lock. The air-conditioning was so loud that it was un-usable at night. The room was very small.

    9NalleliPosted on: 4-13-2022

it is at a great location, clean, and with super friendly staff.

    8NoahPosted on: 2-13-2022

This hotel is very close to the historic center of Oaxaca. The room I was in was perfect for my needs. I wanted a simple room, and I wanted air conditioning (which wasn't necessary this time of year). The entire hotel is clean.

The curtains to the hallway weren't black out curtains, but that's fine. I couldn't get the TV to work, but that's unimportant.

    4BeatricePosted on: 1-17-2022

    Disappointing

There was no hot water in the shower, and the wifi was broken the entire stay there, despite staff saying it would “be fixed the next day”

    9NolichuckyPosted on: 11-6-2021

A good hotel near the cathedral. Some rooms don't have windows, but the receptionist on duty changed me to an upstairs room facing a large terrace when I complained. Really great bed, linens, etc. Walking distance to everywhere in the center. Very clean. Water coolers for purified water.

Not much water pressure in the shower, but that may be everywhere in Oaxaca. No drinking glasses in the rooms.
