We liked the convenient location, clean and comfortable
The check-in process was very easy. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The rooftop terrace offers a beautiful view over Oaxaca.
It was clean and location was perfect
Only cold water from the shower
The room was lovely, spacious with a courtyard. The bedsheets were so soft and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped. Overall this was a perfect space to relax in. It is also very central.
The noise from nearby restaurants and events.
The location is fantastic, the house private and the rooms clean and very comfortable. Love the tub.
Great place! Very clean, nicely decorated and greatly located.
Nothing!
Very close to the main square where all the festivities happen
The walls seemed a little thin. Noise late at night from the hallway was a small problem
Quaint boutique hotel in the centre of the historical district with really friendly and useful staff.
Location is perfect! So close to Zócalo square, where the excitement and buzz is. The room is very clean, access is smooth. Two coffee shops right across the road and next door to get a morning bite to eat. 10-15mins walking radius of the markets, Barrio Jalatlaco, churches, squares, museums and pretty much all the important spots. Information for taxis and tours were very clear and easy to communicate and access. Airport taxi service took us right to the door. Everything was on WhatsApp chat and communication was very responsive.
The hotel's room is cozy and clean when we arrive; it is the place we are looking for, with few guests, and the location is excellent, a nice spot in the center of Oaxaca City. The owner was friendly and kind; she gave us many recommendations about tour guides and private taxis; we enjoyed our stay in Casa Olié.
We stayed in the hotel for a week and only used the room cleaning service twice before check-out, but the house clean didn't clean very well; they didn't change the hand towels and bath rug. There was still lots of dust on the floor; hopefully, they can improve it in the future.
Excellent location, and excellent communications. Casa Olie is a self-check-in operation so almost all of our contact with our host, who was always responsive and helpful, was through WhatsApp. There was someone on staff in the lobby in the evening who graciously arranged for us a taxi to the airport for the following morning.
Our room did not have bedside lighting, only overhead - would have been nice for reading before bed. Otherwise, room was clean and efficient.
Location, close to the Zocalo plaza
First of all, they offered early check in at 7 am on arrival day but there was no water, water was restored at 2:30pm so the check in amounted to just leaving the luggage in the room. On the evening of the last day the water pump broke again and service was restored the next day at the time we were leaving for the airport. The other guests were not happy at all at not being able to take showers after enjoying Oaxaca on a hot day. But the main problem is that the manager is an absentee landlord who only answers WhatsApp messages during business hours 9am to 5pm and ignores you when problems arise at night such as the water pump not working so you’re on your own. I would not recommend this place at all
The location was great and we had a view overlooking the street which was very cute. They also gifted us a bottle of wine for our Honeymoon which was a nice touch!
It can be a bit loud at night as our room was on the street. The wifi connection kept dropping in and out. The shower pressure also wasn’t great.
The hotel manager answered fast to our questions and organised taxis. The location is great, so many great cafes and restaurants around. The entrance is so easy with PIN for house door and room door. The roof top is cute.
The staff was amazing.
The walls are PAPER THIN and I could hear everything inside the hotel. Not to mention every night at around 11pm there would be loud metal scraping and banging noises coming from the ceiling that’d wake me up.
Short and sweet. Very central. Very comfy. Cordial and very responsive staff.
Street noise.
Prime location with clean, comfortable rooms. Great privacy and easy access.
Everything was great.
Great service from the staff, good location and clean. Has a lot of potential and is a good place to stay.
The bed was squeaky and so every time I moved I woke up… the noise from the road is bad if window is open but good if it’s closed. Be prepared to sleep with aircon. The toilet and sink was blocked and had to keep plunging it.
This hotel is a perfect choice for Oaxaca, the room and the bathroom were big, new and really clean. We liked it a lotAlso, we were allowed to have an early check in which helped us a lot.Ana was really nice, she also helped us to book a private tour for the surroundings of Oaxaca (but she had very good suggestions also for share tour options). Also Rosi, the girl we met at the hotel, was lovely and helpful! The location is great, very near to the cathedral with lot of nice restaurants nearby. In front of the hotel there is a lovely cafe. Super recommended!
Our room was at ground floor facing the street. The street was not noisy so it was not a problem but there was a bit of lack of privacy when the window was open. If you stayed one or two nights like us it's not a problem, but if you have a longer stay maybe is better to request a room on the back or on the upper floor. But anyway we really appreciate our stay!
Staff, location, super clean
There’s nothing I did not like
