    Pros +

    • The front desk and other staff members were great. Attentive, helpful and courteous.
    • Good location. Minimalist. Linen was If good ugali tu and fresh.
    • Beautifully decorated. The hotel always smelled amazing between the incense and fresh pine leaves hanging as Christmas decorations. The roof deck and Cantanita next door were great to relax at. Amazing walkable location in the heart of Oaxaca.

    Cons -

    • The hours of the pool were strange to us and one of our breakfast plates were burnt.
    • Room was Not very Clean. A lttle musty. Room was very uncomfortable . You had to Go over a wooden platform tk get to the other side of the Bed into the bathroom. Not well maintained . Floor Lamp switch had no end pull. Room door was hard to manage and made of steel sheet. Handles could be of better quality.Stairs to the upper deck too steel and dark.A little pretentious.
    • Tiny shower. Needs paint. No space to put anything. No iron to iron clothes for going out. No end tables. If you touch stairway wall hands are black. Junior suite tiny.

I don't like the hotel, the food was bad, the room haven't windows, it's dark.

Unfortunately , the breakfast was not very good. Kitchen needs improvement ! Fruits were good and fresh, egg and cheese options were not great, dry and un tasteful.

The bar upstairs was empty all the time , it could have been made it a bit more festive there. Alos, food options were not great given the the city is amazing for food!!!!!

We loved the: 1) location of the hotel - could not ask for a better location, 2) cleanliness of the rooms and how large our family suite was, 3) vibes of the hotel

Overpriced. It's absolutely insane paying what I pay for a Four Seasons and not having the same level of service or amenities. We stayed during Dia de Muertos weekend and paid around $750/night. There's no way this hotel is worth such a high price. Service is far from it. If I had paid $150/night then it would be the best stay overall.

Common areas were clean and well decorated. Staff super helpful, but the rooms didn’t live up to the same standards. The AC in my room didn’t work and the bath towels were thin and small.

Great design. Very friendly staff. Close to Zocolo and 2 blocks from markets.

Very busy area. Not that it's bad in itself but having been in Oaxaca before we enjoyed the area around the Templo Santa Domingo as it was quieter and more relaxed

    Excellent breakfast

I felt the hotel was overpriced for the location. But it was a very unique boutique hotel. And very private once you were on property.

Great Staff, everything was perfect except room ventilation

Rooms are humid and ventilation is a real issue

Hotel has a nice atmosphere, stylish areas and cozy rooms.

My first morning there the restaurant staff wasn’t open to replace the honey-granola and the eggs for anything (and the breakfast there is basically that + toast). If you’re vegan let them know in advance so as you can ensure they will replace a few items from the breakfast for you, which they did for me from the second day on.

Design of the hotel and rooms // mattess was hard and comfortable // location was very convenient // staff was super attentive and welcoming and remembered our preferences // bathroom amenities smell really good // received complimentary welcome drink coupons for the rooftop bar which we did not use, but nice gesture // we stayed in one of their Sicaru Suites (25sqm) with window which felt nice and large. Would not recommend to stay in a lower category due to the possibility of getting a no-window room which would probably get very stuffy

Almost no warm water and water pressure very low (very! Low) which made showering a difficult experience - long hair wouldve been impossible to wash. // The included breakfast was just scrambled eggs with a slice of bread, some fruits and one hot beverage. // Very noisy on weekend nights with a DJ blasting full volume directly in front of our window. // wifi unusable with zero connection in the room (despite ours being located on top of the reception area)

Fantastic design. Truly a beautiful building and vibe. Great location.

Our bedroom had no windows (which was unclear before booking) and the WiFi was spotty throughout the property and didn’t stretch to our room. This might seem like a small thing but when spending $600+ a night, solid in room WiFi feels like a must have (especially as, due to the lack of windows, cell phone service is no good). The hotel had tried to fix this issue by employing a single extender which, to use the internet I would go and sit by downstairs. My strong advice: buy 2 or 3 more extenders and make sure WiFi stretches to every single room. Your guests truly expect this in 2025.

    Location was great

Room was very dark, hot water was very sporadic

When you stepped into the lobby, you feel calmness and tranquility surround you. The inside courtyard invites you to spend time relaxing with others or just rejuvenate. Coming back to the hotel in the evening, the candles gave a wonderful glow. It was nice to have the option to have cool air from an air conditioner or just from the large ceiling fan. Occasional use of an umbrella was very convenient. The staff you always available and very friendly. The rooms were keep clean every day. It was nice having "Electrolyte" and drinking water in the rooms and in the atrium. I loved the bar and dining options on the roof restaurant, especially the freshly-made breakfast options. The Art and decor was modern and thought provoking. The extra touches like fruit and chocolates, soothing music, earplugs, and small cut-out door made the experience even better.

My room could have used a chair to sit on, not just the cute little chairs.

Wow! We were completely blown away from the start. We got in quite late but the guy at the front desk was ready for us & made sure we had everything we needed to get settled & comfortable. The next day the staff were super helpful getting us connected with some private tours. Our driver/tour guide was excellent, from the air conditioned vehicle (much appreciated as my boyfriend was still suffering from a touch of heat stroke) to the choice of venues & warm demeanor. We had a fabulous day!And then I can't say enough good things about the staff & their head chef! My son remotely (& secretly) arranged a Mother's Day surprise for me. They really went above & beyond preparing the most delicious & sumptuous breakfast, followed up by a gorgeous & incredibly delicious cake & floral bouquet. And yes, I was crying happy tears for most of that day!We finished our stay with a walking tour of the market & cooking class with the head chef. She is so talented & lovely! Another memorable day!And I mustn't forget the cool little bar adjoining the hotel. The staff were all so warm, friendly & engaging. The cocktails were always fabulous & we enjoyed our little routine of an evening night cap here before hitting the hay.The hotel itself is so gorgeous with an amazing attention to detail & a decor that incorporates & celebrates local traditional craft work & textiles. A true oasis! We will definitely be returning!

The beds are VERY COMFORTABLE. The staff is kind. The hotel has ambiance.

There should be very clear notices everywhere that Oaxaca City is in a water crisis, and that water should be used sparingly.

we ended up not staying at the hotel since our room had no windows; for £400/night and this detail not being advertised on the website we decided to cancel

so beautiful and unique. room was super cozy. lots of places to lounge.

on Saturday night the hotel bar was raging, which is just something to note! the hotel actually provided ear plugs, and I didn’t mind the revelry.
