    Pros +

    • The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Notable spaces were the roomy bathroom and shower and the small inner patio with a hammock. Includes helpful pieces of furniture in addition to the expected ones, like a desk with a chair, a coat hanger, and shelves. The staff was kind, helpful and accommodating.
    • Very clean, well equipped room
    • Comfortable beds, clean rooms with plenty of hanging space. Also there was a good sized desk and a comfortable chair. The bathroom was well equipped. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally good. There is a little pool in a pretty courtyard where you can take a cooling dip. Sunbeds and towels provided. The hotel is not in the historic centre of Oaxaca but it is an easy, interesting downhill walk to all the main things you’d want to visit. There’s also a very reasonable Nando-type-but-Mexican-food restaurant right next door and a big pharmacy / supermarket right opposite. Also a HSBC bank and cash machine a few metres away.

    Cons -

    • The loud music/noise that comes in from their restaurant/bar/terrace area is not dim and doesn't end early. Probably a good choice for party travelers, but not for working/quieter ones. If you're an early to bed - early to rise person this is not a spot for you.Oaxaca is famous for its ample, exquisite gastronomy, and sadly their breakfast is something you would expect from a simpler, inexpensive chain hotel.
    • A little far from all the action in Centro
    • I do think this place needs to install better windows / soundproofing to the hotel’s bar restaurant / street side. My ground floor room was not too bad as there was only a small frosted window into the reception area, however a colleague’s first floor room overlooked the bar, that overlooks the street, and they struggled to sleep with the music and traffic noise. The hotel did do their best to keep the music volume down but didn’t help with the street noise.

Hotel it’s so pretty and location strategically

1, air conditioning wasn’t working, the gave us a fan instead2. Tv remote control wasn’t working good due to tv position. also was so confused3. Breakfast was included and on Sunday was terrible, stiff , hard unflavored tortillas ( pic attached ), we had to let the staff know about it, We are really sorry for the staff, they are very helpful and polite.

Everything, specially the people. Excellent location.

The bathroom is a little uncomfortable since they didn't have a nice shelf or small furniture to leave the clean clothes to dress after a shower. We needed to change inside the bath since we were four at the same bedroom!

Excellent breakfast, beautiful room with access to outside. The pool was stunning

15 min walk into the city centre - not an issue as it’s a nice walk but may be harder to access for some

    Free breakfast

The fact that we paid for a room that we didn’t even get and the fact that the checkout time is all wrong on booking.com versus in real life and the staff was RUDE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT’S NOT EVEN OUR FAULT!!!!! Y’ALL NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER!!!!! I also hated that there’s no way to communicate with the staff real time because there were no phones in the rooms and you had to walk to the front desk. Very disappointing experience overall to what should have been an amazing experience in an amazing city.

    Super clean and friendly staff!

Pool was a bit dirty and the room didn’t have a proper window (it was a window to the front desk)

Clean, comfortable rooms. Really nice breakfast

Too bad that the restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner all the time

Location, far from center and busy

    Location. Decoration. Bed comfort.

The shower is terrible. The bad is almost ground level.

The room looks adorable and comfortable. And the staff is so friendly.

The address in Booking.com is incorrect. The postal code of address in booking.com is 68040. And the correct postal code is 68050. So we go to the wrong address and take another 30 minutes to go the correct one. At least the staff pick up the phone and tell us the correct address.

The included breakfast was incredible. The artwork is so neat. The staff was extremely welcoming and quick to help with whatever we needed.

Decor style, cleanliness and provisions, breakfast, bar and bartender Ivan

Pool was warmer than bath water. Our room air conditioner was very noisy and sleep disruptive. Sounded like a woodpecker all night. 1 mile walk to the centro which we made twice daily. Further than expected from hotel.

Getting the Breakfast add-on is a must. Huge selection of fantastic meals with a wide variety of flavors and textures from Oaxaca. That plus the fresh fruit and coffee was fantastic!

Room itself had a couple spots on walls where paint was peeling but that's pretty normal for mexico. Overall would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful room and pool area. Especially enjoyed the Jacuzzi in our room.

Location is a bit further away from the city center. About 15min walk, not too bad and felt safe even at night.

This is a cute little boutique hotel. Not many rooms. Good customer service. It has a restaurant, bar, and pool. Everything you might need. Interesting art all around.

It was a bit of a walk into the city center. The hotel is in a bustling area of it's own though which could be a plus or a minus. Minimalist in decor and amenities.

    5MichaelPosted on: 2-6-2024

The entrance of the hotel is cosy, the short distances in the hotel are nice. The parking right next to the hotel is ok, however the parking spaces were really cramped and crowded and misused by the customers of the next door restaurant.

The room was spacious, however this is what you expect from a hotel room for 160 Euros per night. The bed was futon like on the floor, comfortable, but difficult to get up again. The bath tub was free standing in the bathroom and it fitted actually two people. The shower was a little bit more awkward, since you had to go into the bathtub to take a shower. The bathroom became very wet when you showered and and getting out of the tub was challenging, especially when you are a little bit older. The room as well as the complete hotel are showing its age and the door lock to the room was still mechanical and very shaky. An intruder would not have any issues with this kind of door lock. The breakfast was very simple, had not a lot of choices and was not enough for me. The only meat option was bacon, everything else was vegetarian or vegan. On public holidays, as today, the 05.02.2024, no breakfast is served at all. The staff did not tell us when we arrived, so we had a little surprise when we went to our breakfast today. However they gave us 300 MXN Peso back in order to go somewhere else for breakfast. The pool was very small indeed and, since being surrounded by walls, the sun was not long to see in the pool. The parking lot, as I mentioned before, was next to the hotel, but tiny, difficult to get in and difficult to get out. Furthermore it was misused by nearby restaurant guests, making the available space even scarcer. The hotel staff did not seem to bother.

    Clean room

Hotel is extremely loud, since the hotel is directly on a busy street. When people come home and they close the doors you always wake up.

    1AdrianaPosted on: 12-25-2023

    Clean, breakfast

Toilet was broken when we arrived, took hours for them to find a fix. No solution was offered apart from offering us bottles of water. The shower took over 6 minutes to get hot water the first night, the second night took another 6 minutes and only want slightly warm. Room number 6 is terrible, loud and bright from the bar outside the window. The room even had ear plugs supplied in there which is an obvious red flag.
