Hotel Santa Cruz Huatulco

Very friendly service. Very accommodating to our needs.

There were rooms being renovated next to our room and my husband teaches on-line. The construction workers would leave dust, tools and latters in the hallways leading to our rooms. We would have to walk around stuff in the hallway.

Location prime, no safe or coffee maker unless you are in a king room. Site stated breakfast included and it was not it was extra. I asked for a safe and I was switched to a king room with safe and was not told there was an extra charge and 220 cd

No safes, no coffee maker in standard rooms and no coffee avail until after 8am When they move you to a roof with safe they charge you extra but don¿t let you know prior

Staff very friendly. Drinks reasonably priced. Maid very good.

It was good location and the room was clean

I'm not one to complain but there were 2 critical issues I never encountered before: First, there was no curtain in the room, there was a sheer semi-privacy curtain. At 6AM when the sun was up the room was flooded with light and sun on our face. Second, they hosted a party at the hotel until 1AM that was incredibly loud - the loud wasn't just the music, it was drunk people singing poorly at a microphone that was way too loud. Even with noise-canceling headphones on it was too loud to sleep. When I went to the front desk to ask about when it would be done and if I could be changed to a room on the other side of the building I was merely told to wait until the party was over. If the hotel will be running parties that are that loud, they should at least inform guests ahead of booking. I would have chosen a different hotel especially since I was traveling with a child.

The location

There was a insect biting me on the bed and had to ask for a room exchange. The small tiles in the pool were coming off and my son got a big chunk of his toe cut. They did not have enough staff for the restaurant and bar. The cocktail menu was very limited to piña coladas only because they didn’t have the ingredients needed for them. Wouldn’t recommend as a first choice only as a last resort if you can’t find something decent.

The location was good for the local beach. We didn't dine in the restaurant. The pool was crowded so we didn't get a chance to swim but it looked good. The reception staff were friendly. They watched our luggage for a couple of hours before we had to leave for the airport.

It's a busy accommodation. Noisy until about 10pm. The shower was cool, not warm.

Terrible workout center. All the weights where plastic and broken as where the two benches.

Pool had too much chlorine and wifi wasn't good in room.

The rooms were spacious and clean. But missing the small details like night lights or bedside tables, but for the price its fine. Definitely ask for a room on the 2nd floor. The pool area is beautiful and great to use - theres always chairs and shade! It is loud as the others write, but they stop at 10pm.

The location was perfect

We never ate at the restaurant. It was overpriced and can get crowded. The gym was not good but we joined a good gym across the street for two weeks.

Great location.

After the past year's renovation, rooms have almost no storage space. No drawers or shelves. The bedside table and desk float with nothing beneath. One folding suitcase stand. No full length mirror. The lovely pool was murky, with crap floating in it. Although we complained, nothing was done in the week we spent there.The wifi is worse than in the past - only really useable in one spot in the lobby and one spot by the pool.

Comfortable beds, good location

Wifi was terrible at all times of the day. 3 different ones available all bad. You were lucky to have wifi for 5 continuous minutes. We even changed rooms for better wifi to no avail. If you walked near reception you had good wifi but not in your room. Had one meal from restaurant it was ok (salmon risotto)

The location, the swimming pool and that we could stay an hour longer before check out - that were the positive moments. The employees also tried to be helpful.

This is not the hotel that fits 4 stars standards. It is very worn out and outdated. The towels were too old and with holes. The room was not clean (the were the hair of the cleaning people and the floor was dirty). We also saw a cockroach in a bathroom and even after we mentioned about it to the reception it was not taken away. They couldn’t provide us with a hairdryer upon a request.

Staff was very helpful and the location is great.

Unfortunately, cleanliness is not very good. It is a bit noisy too.

Nothing. It was horrible.

it looks old, and dirty is not clean, it needs to be updated It looks old. the staff was horrible, I did the reservation and paid for it. When we got to the hotel I was told that there were not rooms, that the system made a mistake.We had to wait 3 hours for the staff to to find a place for us. my 90 year old mother was in the car waiting for a place to to rest. I don't recommend this hotel at all

The location was superb. Very close to the beach. The rooms were nice as well.

They were doing construction in the pool area and started at 8 am so if you’re hoping to sleep in I don’t recommend the hotel. Also the people at the front desk need a lot of training in customer service. Their attitude wasn’t the best and they weren’t helpful.
