Hotel Marina Resort & Beach Club

There is absolutely nothing to like about this hotel. Completely opposite of a resort.

We had to walk over two blocks to the hotel entrance. The hotel parking only has enough space for 10 compact cars. We completely disliked this hotel. We’ll never be staying here. The reservation manager is rude and has no customer service skills!

Located near beach, restaurants, park, little shops & a 35 peso taxi ride to town (La Crucecita). Friendly, courteous, helpful staff & did best to assist with a few issues. Clean & pretty grounds including pools. Towel service. Good A/C.

Not advised in advance of LATE check-in:4:30.Phone & safe not fixed all 4-day stay.Tech came but couldn't fix & we were 3 floors up (no elevator) so NO room service. No instructions on safe (but didn't work anyways). LOUD music all day & to late night.

The location was great! The grounds and pool¿s landscaping was great!

The staff was not accommodating! No elevators! Stairs and steps very steep! Ants in the room and bed!

Mid November, seemed to be only a dozen people there, had the whole place to ourselves. Good pools and beach bar/pool

The property is very clean and comfortable and felt safe. Walking distance from restaurants and boat tours. The staff is friendly and courteous. Pools are nice. We went in slow season so it wasn’t crowded. It has free parking.

Too many stairs! Consider this if you have bad knees or out of shape.

I loved the central area where the pools are located. I felt like the grounds were very well kept and the staff was helpful.

The rooms do look like the pictures in the sense of the decor, but it is dated and a bit run down, at least our room was. I also thought the bathroom could use an update, but overall it was clean and comfortable.

Clean, fresh, great music at the pool area. It looks just as great as the photos. The staff is top notch. I love how it’s walking distance from the square with restaurants and shops. I felt very safe walking around at night solo.

I wasn’t super impressed with the breakfast. I thought it was included, double check that before you book if it’s something you definitely want. I was happy they had decaf coffee.

I stayed here with a very limited Spanish vocabulary and met a staff that had a very basic English. However, the attitude and friendly apporach by the staff made this language barrier almost non-existent.

There was a lot to love about this place! We enjoyed the beach club, its location was great for getting to the beach, walking and finding restaurants and stalls, and excellent accessibility to taxis! The pool area was nice and quite relaxed during the day and afternoons.

While the facilities were once probably very grand, they do look quite dated now. We had issues with the air conditioner in our room, the phone in our room wouldn’t connect to the front desk or room service, and we had to ask the front desk for a key to manually override the safe in our room as the in pad didn’t work. We were also able to perfectly hear the room next to us, which sounded like they were having a VERY romantic vacation, which woke us up a few times.

I love the atmosphere of this hotel. It is a true Mexican hotel. That means freedom from entitled people. Folks are friendly no matter their country and it's ok to be you.Rooms were clean and mattresses and pillows were comfy.Included breakfast had good variety and excellent taste.The beach club Baacanda is beautiful

If you can't do stairs this is not your place. 103 stairs from front entrance sidewalk to our room. Brutal (Yes we could of changed but didn't want to)There was.no closet to hang clothes and the clothes drawers provided were old and musty.Bed frames moved every time I did and made alot of noise. (I'm not a big person)Pool area needs some work as it was obvious filters and traps were not working properly but they did a good job keeping it clean and are obviously were working on things).

Great location, beautiful view from our balcony. Staff were great. The only issue was when we arrived, there was a big dead cockroach in our bathroom. Thank God it was dead!! Did not see another one after that in our room or the hotel. I know they are common it just wasn't what we wanted to walk into on our first night.

Location was excellent! Within walking distance to many places. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests promptly! The manager, Mirtha was awesome and speaks great English. Made sure our stay was all that we wanted!

Beach picture is a bit deceiving as it is a couple blocks from the hotel, however easily walkable.

The hotel room was nice and the balcony was large and spacious.

The pool was cold and dirty, the beach club was a long distance away and awkward to get to. It was uninviting and we didn’t and up using it at all.

My mother felt in the lobby, staff did not even asked if she was okay. too many stairs through out the hotel.pool had bird poop in itnot cleannot enough supplies in bathroomsoverall experience HORRIBLE, WILL NOT USE THIS HOTEL AGAIN
