Pros +
- The property was very clean and staff very friendly. A beautiful pool with perfect sunset view. 15 minute walk to the beach and a very professional and enjoyable massage and mud bath treatment!
- The hotel was really quiet, not full at all so it was best to rest and enjoy the pool. Also the staff was really helping, especially one night with a group really noisy, they went to tell them to stay quiet. I also liked the pool and the great spaces of the property.
- The hotel pool is big, and there is space for everyone.I appreciate the no dogs police. There is parking available.
Cons -
- Once service was really slow at night in the restaurant. No problem with morning service.
- I made a reservation through Booking.com, and after a while, I received an email saying that I could only pay with American Express or a money transfer; otherwise my reserve would be canceled in the next 24h. The facilities are wore off, with many items broke, for instance my shower head was so rusted that did not move, and none of the power outlets in my bedroom work, including the one for the tv. There is no mini bar in the bedrooms, and they charge $20 per item to store at their fridge. The corridors are with a ceramic tile with large grout gaps between. You can hear all the Tec-tec-tec noise of guests luggages running in the corridor while you try to sleep in the morning. The restaurant is overpriced, the service is slow, and the food is mediocre.
- We arrived around 8:00 p.m. and went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. There were 2 other guests there. It took the waiter a very long time to take our order. All we ordered were 2 beers, a water, fries and guacamole. We had to wait about 1 1/2 hours for this. We questioned the waiter and all he said was that they were busy. BUSY???- with 3 guests in the entire restaurant? Additionally, there was a cat walking around the premises walking from table to table. The staff did nothing to get rid of it. WiFi not great. Getting disconnected constantly. The hotel was a very short ride from the airport about 7 minutes away. We were ripped off. They charged us about $15. We could have walked there, but unfortunately we were not familiar with the area.

The property was a typical Mexican quaint hotel. The room was clean. Staff was friendly.

The pool area was amazing. Our room was large, with comfortable beds overlooking the beautiful pool. Our room was cleaned each day we stayed. We had food in the restaurant one evening but it wasn't anything special. La Julia is the best place for breakfast/lunch. It's a 2 minute walk away.Playa Coral (about 5-10 minute walk away) is a nice quiet beach for swimming. We went snorkelling off the beach there and saw loads of lovely fish. The hotel is remote, but given the quality of the food at La Julia, I would return to stay here if I came back. The hotel is walkable to Vive Mar, to release a turtle and watch beautiful sunsets.
Our evening meal in the restaurant was average. We dismd not eat there again.
Very large hotel, great place, big rooms, very clean.Good communication with the team.Food, drinks and breakfast are Ok. Not wonderful, but Okoverall a very nice stop in Puerto Escondido
Breakfast quality could be improved ( very light coffee and fruit juice is not so nice)
big older large room great air conditioning
restaurant food was not appetising
The hotel itself is beautiful: quiet, big and clean pool, beautiful garden, very close to the beach, some rooms with ocean view. The room is very big.
Wifi was as bad as other reviews already told us. In the restaurant it was acceptable the first day and bad the second. I didn't like the attitude of the staff, at the check-in they didn't inform us about basic things like the possibility to get towels for the pool. They never said hello when someone entered or left the building. The room was not very clean (hair on the floor, party equipment of the former guest still hanging on two places in the room), also there was garbage in the corridor, even though the cleaning staff was always around. The bar tender was not very attentive, even though nobody else was in the restaurant.
Close to the beach
Friendliness of staff… provision of wrong information
We liked the swimming pool and restaurant area. The hammocks were a lovely bonus for relaxing. we also liked the simple bedroom room aesthetic. The staff were really kind and helpful.
We had breakfast included in our stay but it wasn’t clear what exactly that was. we ended up ordering from the menu most days and having to pay for it. This needs clarification.
Clean beautiful place.
Location.close to airport but far from the beach.
The location is good, neighborhood is quiet.
- Staff is unpleasant- Breakfast was impossible to take on site because we were told it would take over 30 min to get a fruit salad and a tea, although there was only one other table at breakfast. - There was a huge rain in Puerto Escondido that night, the hotel flooded, corridors and rooms, there was a power cut, we had to lift all our stuff, use torches, and sleep in a wet room. Next day out of our three rooms, one needed to check out at 2pm, and the hotel still had us pay for the extra hours, despite the flood of the night prior...- Parking space is ridiculously small- Bathrooms aren't clean. Our still had pool from previous guests on the trash bag when we arrived.- Rooms don't have mosquito nets, so you need to keep everything closed.- Shower curtains were disgusting
Beautiful
It doesn't have beach access and never stated that in the details before or after reservation, I just found out when I arrived there.
Best location in Puerto Escondido and with the most friendliest staff possible! The rooms are very clean and comfortable with even a little livingroom. The pool is huge and the food is amazing! They also played very nice music in the bar and we will definitely come back! If you want to have a quiet night and be on the best spot in Puerto Escondido, this is your hotel! Close to many nice bars and restaurants, and next to one the most beautiful beaches in Puerto!
Nice hotel with a big pool. Pretty quiet and relaxed with comfortable rooms that had A/C.The restaurant/bar has breakfast and dinner and its quite close to other restaurants.
Great pool area. Rooms basic and rustic, but had everything you need. Near to Turtle release beach and fabulous sunsets. We saw whales from the beach too.
Beautiful setting overlooking the ocean. Lovely gardens to relax and watch the sunset. Spacious, clean room with a sea view from our very comfy bed!! Nice restaurant bar to enjoy snacks, a meal or drinks by the big pool.
It was located a little bit away from the centre so a good walk to the beach / cafés / restaurants, which we didn't mind but a bit tough in the heat!
The white interior and exterior is definitely beautiful, everything looks exactly like on photos, the swimming pool area is great.
They annoy you with pretty impolite messages about times for check-in, check-out and the added costs. There was a smell of canalization in the shower all the time.My boyfriend got a food poisoning after a breakfast there. I didn’t ever eat there, so I was fine. There were too many families around to have a calm time at the pool.
The rooms were a good size
The lack of hospitality in the hotel. We had plumbing issues with the sink asked 3 times about it , no one ever came to attempt to fix.My biggest concern is was my wife and 2 children were physically threaten by another guest we informed the staff on duty right away... nothing was done , infact we were made to feel like we did something wrong ... (My wife was walking back to our room at 5pm with my 9 month old and 2 year old. Another guest 2 doors down came out and told my wife that our kids our noisy and if she don't shut them up , she will get her husband to beat her up, along with some other dreadful stuff )The staff refused to do anything saying the guest who threaten my family was staying there longer so has priority? After 26 hours of no response from a managerafter multiple request (asked the front desk, left message on booking.com and sent a email ) we feel unsafe so we decided to leave. They only gave us a partial refund for our remaining nights
The location it's good, close to carrizalillo, the place is kinda cute and clean.
The attitude of the receptionist and the guy on charge of the kitchen was awful, they have to understand they are not doing me any favor, im Paying for my services, since we got there the guy in the reception was acting mean and no polite at all. The place is kinda nice, but I wouldn't stay there again after this lil mean day.
