Hotel is in a great location, nice ammenities and a historic hotel that has grown along the city. This is not a modern style hotel but neither a dump. I felt safe and the hotel exceded my expectations from callings taxis, getting my laundry done.
The coller in the rooms does not cool, but keeps drinks cold, think of it as a dry ice cooler. I just grabbed a bag and got some ice and out it inside the cooler and it kept drinks cold for days. fixtures are not super new but it is a rustic hotel.

The bed and pillows were comfortable; however, during the night near room 371, there was a recurring loud machine-like noise, and no earplugs were available so I woke up several times during the night.
It was a disappointing experience returning to Hotel Ancira after 13 years, and not only because the hotel is outdated. There was no water in my room to prepare coffee in the morning. My sister, who stayed next to me, did have water, so housekeeping likely forgot to restock my room. I requested water but never received it and had to buy my own.The refrigerator in my room was completely broken and did not cool at all. There was only coffee provided no sugar or cream—and the coffee pot was dusty. My sister also did not receive body wash in her room.The elevator takes an extremely long time because it stops on every floor even when no one is waiting. As a result, the stairs are often the only option, but they are located very far away and require a long walk through an unpleasant and smelly area. It was sad
Excellent location! Close to shopping, vendors, museums, restaurants, parks and a cathedral. The walls are pretty sound proof.
The shower was tricky to operate, we had to ask for help. But someone came immediately to remedy the situation. There was no microwave however there is a small refrigerator.

I did not like anything, worse hotel ever.
Elevator was frequent not working, there was no working heater. No ice machines, there was a freaking party every night in the lobby area

While the hotel is old and the rooms are a bit on the older side, they are clean and comfortable. Staff is super friendly/helpfull. A bonus is the bar of the hotel... a total gem with amazing cocktails.
