Pros +
- Attractive building, authentic architecture
- A lovely, art and literature themed boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff in a convenient and walkable location. The coffee and yogurt snack in the morning was a nice way to start the day. We enjoyed our stay, Gracias.
- We moved here from our original hotel because we needed good wifi for working - the staff was fabulous, the detail and decor wonderful - it's owned by a designer and you could tell. Lovely art, attention to detail, sculptures, wind chimes, etc. made the place lovely to be in
Cons -
- Sub standard plumbing
- The only negative which the hotel doesn’t have control over is a muy Guapo rooster who is quite vocal in the very early morning hours. There are earplugs provided. Music from neighboring place was totally normal and didn’t go late.
- Room tight, no balconies

Location , staff and cleanliness were excellent. The queen room was small with little space to hang or store clothes. I suggest remove the single bed and use the space for a well designed closet ( luggage can be stored on top ). Some wall hooks would be useful. The swimming facility was a enjoyed by us for 2-3 hours each dayThankyou for a great holiday. Jim & Joan
My friend and I, both early 30s, loved Hotel Cielo Rojo! The photos don’t do it justice! It’s a beautiful hotel with very nicely decorated rooms. The staff are so friendly too.We loved the breakfast fruit bowl, the AC in the room, the availability of beach towels and a beach umbrella, and access to a pool a block or two away. The pool is really nice - I’d recommend going! The hotel also provided free drinking water in jugs outside of the rooms. Super convenient! The location is great. Right beside the main strip of San Pancho. Super accessible to everything.Would 100% recommend this place to those travelling to San Pancho!
Super friendly staff. Saul is very helpful and kind. He was always smiling. The wait staff was very attentive. The food was delicious and the presentation was exceptional.
Nothing at all.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and thoughtful. The cleaning staff was above and beyond. We loved the morning coffee and yogurt! Hot showers and wonderful location!
Fantastic location, decor, staff - everything!
The friendly check in experience. The atmosphere throughout the hotel. The incense burning throughout the day and the candles on the stairs at night were a really nice touch, never seen that before. Lovely and unique decor. Friendly restaurant staff. The rooms were very clean. Loved that there were facecloths (so few hotels in Mexico seem to provide them). Water jugs on every floor for guest use. Very clean. The earplugs in the room (amazing). Comfortable beds with nice clean and good smelling sheets & pillowcases. Our family of three adored this place.
We didn't get warm or hot water:( We had a really long day of travel (8 hours of driving straight) and then went right to the beach until well after sunset. We all needed a shower and the water got barely warm. Even in the morning the next day. This was unfortunate. Also, the "extra room" my daughter and I slept in was more like a balcony, the walls didn't reach the ceiling and the roof was palapa style branches so it was exposed to outside, we were very cold and could also hear the music from every direction in the town. Just a warning for those who are arriving unaware of the room that has this feature (you can probably ask for extra blankets during months where it's colder at night).
The staff are all so nice and helpful. The hotel is charming and the fact that there is a continental breakfast included every morning in the lovely courtyard was a big plus. The restaurant staff were excellent. The beds were comfortable. We had air conditioning but didn’t need it. Hardly needed the fan.
It would be a plus to have more hooks in the room and also hangers. There was nothing we ‘didn’t like’.
I recently stayed at this cute hotel, and it was a delightful experience. The vibe was cozy and inviting, making it feel like a little oasis. The location was perfect—convenient yet peaceful, with everything I needed within reach. The restaurant was an absolute highlight; the food was exceptional, and the atmosphere added to the overall charm. I also enjoyed the pool, which I had all to myself—a rare treat that made the experience even more relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Overall, this hotel had it all: comfort, great amenities, and an amazing vibe. Highly recommend!
Would be nice to have a small fridge in the room .
Very clean, really good restaurant and the staff was very nice.
The pool wasn't available while we were there.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very cozy, the bed is super comfy. There are really interesting books on the shelves for you to read during your stay. But the best part of this place are the wonderful people who work there, they go above and beyond to help you. Case in point was when I lost my phone before departing PVR airport and I called Alonso at the hotel front desk and he was able to help me find out that someone had found my phone and returned it to the information desk inside the airport. Great people!
The early morning roosters nearby! Only complaint
we would have appreciated being told we had access to a pool. ( not on premise) We only found out by other guests upon our departure….
The complimentary cup of fruit was delicious. The bistro restaurant is very good with attention to detail.
My room was facing the street. It wasn’t a dealbreaker but it would have been better to have had a room off the street.
This is a little gem in San Pancho! Beautifully decorated, comfortable, great location and wonderful staff. The organic cafe in the hotel is amazing as well. Highly recommend!
A boutique hôtel in the true sense of the word.Beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
Rooms are small but very cosy.
First, the staff is incredibly friendly. Second, their restaurant is one of the best I’ve experienced here. And I’ve been here for almost 3 months. Finally, their hotel is unbelievably comfortable.
The only thing I don’t like about the property is they rarely have vacancy because they are so popular.
Beautiful decor. Staff were very friendly.
SO loud. The restaurant loudly cleaned up until 10. The bar next door bumps music until 11pm. Also the owner was short and unpleasant clearly over owning the hotel.
Charming cozy boutique hotel. Sweet picturesque town. It's a walk to the pool but it's big and is in a stunning hidden garden. The jazz band "Resonance" was fabulous! The restaurant food very good but skip the cheese tray, it disappoints. Every inch of the hotel and restaurant is welcoming and lovingly decorated.
Our room was tight for a queen & a single bed, we were 2 women, but other rooms looked spacious. The stairs have no bannister, difficult for me.
