- They suddenly cancelled our reservation without Explanation even though we had made it month in advance
- This is a very special place. The Hacienda is absolutely stunning and every effort is made to ensure guests are cared for. Staff is very friendly and incredibly attentive. The room we had was beautifully decorated, clean and there were thoughtful treats provided to welcome guests. The bed, pillows and linens were comfortable and the quiet and darkness of the room made for a perfect sleep at night. The Hacienda itself is magical. The outdoors spaces are beautifully cared for and maintained. We met the owner, Monica and learned about the history of the place and how the Hacienda evolved over time: home, stables, spa, distillery, farm and much more to come. We took a little ride around the property on the horses, we had tastings at the distillery, dipped toes into the pool (towels provided), viewed the spas (but didn't have time for any treatments), and ate three fabulous meals on site. The Hacienda is on the outskirts of a little town and driving distance to some beautiful spots and historic sites. We wish we could have stayed longer!
- Wonderful staff, unique place, excellent spa service
Cons -
- Nothing. It was perfect.
- Cannot complain
- Upgraded towels would be nice. We got by without speaking Spanish

Wonderful staff, unique place, excellent spa service
Cannot complain
The spa was fantastic. The building and rooms were charming and spacious.
Beautiful old hacienda. Nice service in the restaurant, and they were trying hard food front
Upgraded towels would be nice. We got by without speaking Spanish
The hacienda grounds are enormous and breathtaking. It is obvious that a lot of thought was put into the restoration of the hacienda as no detail was spared. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are taken back in time. I was very impressed that they kept the original feeling of being in an old hacienda, but with all the modern comforts. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that I was able to sleep through the night. Not an easy thing to do in a hotel room! The food was amazing and had so much flavor, it was not what you would expect from a hotel.
I know it takes a lot of work to keep the grounds so beautiful. However, all the motors for the garden equipment should not be running so early in the morning. The staff also have their communication devices on so you can hear all their conversations. It would have been nice to not be awakened by motors and radio conversations.
Beautifully restored historic hacienda. Very quiet peaceful. Excellent massage therapist!
True Mexican experience, complimentary horse ride. Stunning setting, friendly staff, beautifully manicured grounds. Comfortable beds and pillows.
The hacienda is truly beautiful, the relics, the nature, everything
Service could be better for this price. Staff hardly understands any english. Things take forever at reception. Food is sometimes really great, sometimes poor. And also the gardeners shouldn’t use noisy leaf blowers and high pressure cleaners on a daily basis. It kind of ruins the tranquility of the place.
Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, lovely owner, everyone was very attentive, and delicious food.
Unbelievable. I have been to the finest resorts. Borabora, Hawaii, etc. The service and surroundings at this resort are truly amazing. Very very very authentic. Everything is so lovely here it is like staying in a museum. Every room has actual artifacts from centuries ago. The staff is so attentive and kind. They really do not have adequate words.
The pool is very small but I didn’t care because the grounds are so beautiful you could spend all day wandering
,Wonderful location. Very beautiful and quiet. Very relaxing. The hotel could use a little remodeling, but is still very pleasant. There are many things to discover: plants and animals, all in a great setting. I can't wait to come back!
The restaurant is quite good, but rather pricey. The portions are small and the staff is not especially attentive. The breakfast menu is very boring. The main meals are nicely presented, but in the evening the lighting is very pool. The swimming pool and the jacuzzi were not very clean. Our bathroom had an unpleasant smell
tranquil/delicious food/beautiful setting
wanted more activity. will bring croquet set n lawn darts next time
One of the most beautiful hotels in Mexico!!
The beds are very hard and despite being the only ones there, it's pretty loud in the morning because the bathroom windows are permanently open.
beautiful property and grounds, the spa is beautiful and has great treatments. good food.
the rooms are beautiful but a bit dark.
It is a fantastic beautiful place in the middle of nowhere?.- animals with all their sounds in the morning- beautiful rustic rooms- kind staff
The menu could have had a slightly enlarged selection. It was very good what was available, but I missed a good soup, a filling salad and a selection of vegetable dishes. But still good ?
The staff are awesome, and the hotel is historic and spectacular. And my wife super enjoyed the spa, so give yourself a treat. I went for a bike ride to San Ignacio on the ciclovia. And there is a tequila de Bienvenido, a Fortaleza reposado which has since become my favourite tequila. Viva Mexico!
It was so very authentic. Antiques, architecture and beautiful grounds all added to the ambiance.
Our room was a little stuff. A floor fan in the room would have helped.
Gorgeous hacienda! Beautiful and well-taken care of grounds. Very comfortable bed. Good food. Lovely spa.
Big spaces, animals, nice staff
Maybe beds could be more comfortable
