- The location was great. The rooms were clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. The amenities were excellent. One of the best hostels I've stayed in.
- How big and clean is the place.
- Friendly people around
Cons -
- Perhaps more selections on the continental breakfast.
- The day I booked one day stay coming back from peru to Guadalajara they changed the price I paid more for that they in person than booking online.
- Climbing to the top bunkbed was so rickety the shakeing gave me motion sickness..the lockers didn't close let alone lock..( you could rent one) no privacy at all you could hang your towel across your bed area no AC so window had to be open over noisy street... So much could/should be improved .. I didn't stay I knew I wouldn't get any sleep so wasn't worth suffering through

Everything was very clean. The staff were very hospitable.
The breakfast wasn't consistent - some days there was no fruit or yogurt.
Great location 8n downtown Guadalajara. Near cafes, stores, and train station.
All good.
Great setting. Close to market, but private
The taxi driver couldn’t find it.
Big nice hostel in the center of town. You can walk everywhere and close to the metro (5 min walk). Taking an uber in G is also very cheap. The hostel has everything you need however I did not find it that social... people seem to want to be by themselves. There could be more activities organized by the hostel and try to make it more social and welcoming. The female dorm was nice. Showers ok. Free breakfast if you eat normal food.
They need to update the cooking kitchen stuff as it is very scars. Like cutting knifes, peelers, pots, pans.
The breakfast was nice and simple. They had coffee, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, cookies and juice available which was enough for me. I felt it was very secure and safe because of the locks on the front door. The rooms had a lot of natural light. The showers were available all day. There is no lock on the bathroom doors but I felt safe by just closing the doors of the bathroom. I felt that everyone was respectful to the privacy of others staying there. There was a lady who was friendly she would clean the floors and bath rooms everyday. The vibe of the entire place was comfortable for me. Staff was accomidating and kind. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay. I got to experience a private room the 1st night which they give you a key to open. It had a lock on the entrance and then a lock on the bedroom I stayed in. It was very secure and I felt safe. Then I went into the coed dorms the last 3 nights. The bunk beds were fairly comfortable I got to sleep on the bottom one which was easier for me. I was by the window which was open and gave off a lot of breeze from the outside which I loved.
As a woman I made the mistake of sleeping in the shared room with all the guys, even with my partner in the bed next to me I was on edge the entire time. The guys were very loud going in and out of the rooms, slamming the doors or leaving it wide open when I was trying to sleep. I am not saying they were threatening in any way, it was just different. I think it would have been more comfortable for me to sleep in the room with the other women instead.
Hostel was kept clean, had room to lounge, and had a nice big kitchen. Staff was open to storing luggage before check in/out
Na
Friendly staff.
It was not clean, noisy in the Main Street. Hard to focus
Excellent location to move around by train or other public transportation.I love to be close to Plaza Guadalajara for Christmas there was mapping show on the Cathedral , street musicians and other entertainment.. Also restaurants and 24 hr store
The location and the staff
The stairs. Best hostel in Centro!
The location was central and walkable. I felt that the building was secure, and the receptionist and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.
The serve-yourself breakfast coffee in the kitchen was - perhaps - the worst that I've ever had...and I have drunk a lot of bad coffee in my life!
Helpful staff, good breakfast, large common area, nice outdoor patios, in the middle of Guadalajara, easy check in.
The room was somewhat hot, the hot water was inconsistent.
Its in a great location. The staff seemed friendly.
The only time in my life i left a hostel after checking in. Maybe it was the overwhelming amount of 18 year old boys staring at me. Maybe they didnt know how to flush the toilet. But there was no locker to use because someone was using them all and the fan didnt have a power point. Why have a fan if you cant plug it in? The location was great but i left the first night even though i paid.
Very CleanLocation ,close to train station ,close to plaza central Guadalajara
The location and also Im satisfied with the free breakfast
No privacy curtain in the dormitory.
Room #6 El Toro not as finished with high ceilings and space as other private rooms- looks like an after-thought conversion tucked around corner from others but enjoyed the privacy and immediacy of the courtyard and the (un)shared toilet/shower but inadequacies.. Helpful and friendly staff, especially Isis who helped book a ride to the airport.Know that private rooms are in a separate building across the street if meeting up with other travelers is important.
Self-locking door meant couldn't leave the room to use the shower without the key. Screen window inset in door- poorly fitted and screen framing left gaps for mosquitoes and light. Could use some hooks to hang towels etc.
Large private room with bathroom, lots of fans to keep it comfortable, no air conditioning. Light breakfast with fruit, cereal, toast…great location. Great price. Comfortable bed.
Great hostel, helpful and friendly staff, nice common areas. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Great for meeting people due to the many activities the hostel organises
