Gala Boutique Hotel is fantastic! The staff (especially Leticia) are friendly and efficient, the beds are super comfortable, and the neighborhood is quiet and has many many friendly and delicious dining options from breakfast to dinner and drinks. I will definitely come again!

Note that there is no in-room fridge or kettle - the hotel can provide both in the common areas. The bathroom sink nozzle is too long. These are the only negatives I can think of!

It’s centrally located in a lovely neighborhood with great restaurants and cafes. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The staff was exceptional .

Charming boutique home turned hotel with comfy beds in a GREAT location. Very walkable, safe, and loads of great coffee shops, bars, and restaurants.

Nice place to stay. Unfortunately no service after 4pm except coke, water and cerveza. More like a guest house. No bottle of wine to enjoy on the beautiful terrace. A real pity. We were recommended to use Uber but they offered just a cheap bottle of wine from OXXO on Sunday of our arrival. Great breakfast. Very comfortable room. No makeup mirror!!!No fridge. We had to drink our white wine which we eventually bought at room temperature. They offered at least wine glasses. I recommend to have at least a couple of cold bottles of wine available for purchase at the reception.

The location made walking downtown or to museums easy. It is a beautiful building with comfortable updated decor.The staff was amazing to inform and assist us in making appointments and reservations. The breakfast was deliciously prepared each day.

We found the property to be very clean, the bed and bedding were amazing! Staff were friendly, efficient, helpful. They were able to accommodate us for an early check in which was very nice. The pool was warm, and a pleasure to use and hang out for my daughter and I. Air conditioning worked great as well as a good pressure shower, WIFI worked at the pool. There was always security available although we felt safe in the area. The location is perfect! So many fantastic restaurants and cafes within 5km, we walked everywhere. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.

Perfect location to explore the old town. Very nice area with lots of nice restaurants and bars- great relaxed atmosphere. The interieur of the hotel is very pretty- very good style. Nice small pool and you can book great massages with Fabiola.

There is no bar - you can have breakfast at the neigbour restaurant but only from 09am onwards. They close early so no option for a drink at night however the hotel can fix a beer if you want which they also serve to your room .

Our stay at Gala was so lovely. My friend and I were in Mexico for work and stayed in multiple other hotels in other surrounding towns, and another in Guadalajara; none of them came even close in comparison to our stay here. This was by far the cleanest, comfiest, beautiful stay. The mattress and sheets are so soft. The shower had great water pressure. The breakfast was delicious. The neighborhood was nice to walk around, lots of coffee shops and vintage clothing stores to explore. Would absolutely treat myself to this hotel again.

I thought they might have had an electric Kettle in the room and maybe some cups, wine glasses etc but no. I had to ask which was fine but maybe consider.

The hotel is located in a very good location, Comfortable bed and good shower, they offered free breakfast but I didn't get to try it because there are plenty of restaurants within a walking distance and despite the location it was quiet enough.

Free coffee in the room, not enough storge space, all I have was five clothes hangers I was there for four nights and I have to keep everything in my suitcase, another thing I wasn't happy, was the absence of any glasses.

We unfortunately were in the ground floor bedroom behind the reception and it was extremely noisy. We could hear entire conversations that guests had with the front desk, and people (not sure if guests or staff) sat in the terrace right outside our window talking loudly late at night (past midnight). If you are an early sleeper, suggest choosing an upper level floor.

The staff was friendly and attentive. Good breakfast.

The restaurant attached to the hotel played loud music from morning until 10:30 every night. An employee entered our room at 12:30 in the middle of the night, realized we were there in bed and left. Beyond being upsetting, we never got a straight answer as to why or how this happened, and no manager ever even contacted us about it.
