Pros +
- I enjoyed the pool because it was only my family in the entire pool. Though you have to ask for the towels from the reception area. The neighborhood is really shady it¿s off the main road. Nothing close to a touristy area. Didn¿t feel safe.
- I loved the 3 bedroom villa, it was very comfortable and visually appealing
- The grounds and our villa were amazing. Huge living room, kitchen and bedroom. Excellent, very quiet location. The staff was great, as were the included breakfasts. Check out the menu!
Cons -
- They overcharged me and when I contacted them they didn¿t want to help me. The hotel feels likes it¿s abandoned with only 3 employees for the whole hotel. The receptionist has to run to open the gate for parking. We beeped and had to wait a long time.
- The Front desk staff was rude, I was "helped" by hotel employee. Her customer service skills definitely need improvement! It is thanks to the guests that she has a job, she needs to be more polite. Didn't find the baby roach I found on my breakfast dish appealing
- New mattress pads would be nice.

New mattress pads would be nice.
The hotel itself. Loved the hacienda architecture. Really felt like old Mexico with modern updates.
The wi-fi signal was very poor -- internmittent or non-existent.
Beautiful grounds, spacious rooms
The hotel restaurant closed at noon and there aren't any restaurants that are open late in Ajijic. We came back from a party after 10 pm and only a few street food carts were open. However they don't deliver and we were unaware until our ride brought us back to the hotel
The rooms are clean, big and pretty. The staff are very nice. The breakfast was delicious and the waitress great.
The pool was very cold and slippery like it was dirty at the bottom. The playground was falling down, very old and dangerous for the kids, the walls need paint. The staff were nice but they couldn’t do anything about the cold pool.
The hotel is nice. The rooms are huge. The breakfast is great!
Booking says they provide cribs. Once I contacted the hotel they told me they don’t have this service and didn’t even try to offer me a solution.
The breakfast was really nice
We had small ants in our bed sheets and huge ants in our bathroom
The rooms were very spacious so were the garden areas. The food was delicious!
I didn't like that some of the furniture looked too old. some of the wall was coming off and we have no pots, pans or forks to use the kitchen.
Huge, wonderfully designed apartments with high ceilings, kitchens, fireplaces, etc. Terrific breakfast. Friendly staff, friendly cats. Parking (the reason we chose this place over others).
The kitchen wasn’t well equipped at all, and living room furniture wasn’t very comfortable. WiFi could definitely be improved and hot water not very dependable. Towels frayed way beyond the point of presentability.
Cozy rustic place, great for families, the kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was fantastic.
I liked generally, but disability compliance could be improved, it would be a good idea to increase visibility on hallways during daytime as well.
The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was good.. The location was also good.
The price was too high for what it offered. The villa needs more maintenance, and it does not have air conditioning. I also did not like the parking gate. We had to wait to be allowed to enter the parking area.. They need a better system with the parking gate.
Overall, the hotel is fine. It really needs an update, and the breakfast could be improved. The hotel staff was overall very friendly and helpful. However, I do feel that it's overpriced for the experience.
Loved the hotel, it's labyrinthine paths in the garden were delightful to walk thru. Pool was refreshing, mostly dominated by kids. The service was good, very clean, as others have said. Free breakfast was good & we would stay here again, loved feeling like we were in a palace of days past with ahidden garden.
the only thing we didn't like: the beds aren't very comfortable.
Danza del Sol is such a delightful place - the apartments are large and nicely furnished, the grounds are lovely, the breakfasts are delicious , the staff very helpful and the pool is fun! It’s also a short walk from anything you’d want to visit in Ajijic. Totally recommend!
It wasn’t a big deal because the staff helped us with it and it was very affordable, but we had to buy a water container from the front desk - they made it easy, though .
Gardens were lovely, pool was clean
A little bit further from central Ajijic than I expected. I would have expected the front desk staff to have some English. We managed with the translator app
Beautiful landscaping and pool. Good housekeeping and it was far from downtown (9 blocks) so it was quiet
Awful kitchen, the gas wasn’t turned on for the stove, stained lunch size plastic ware and no pots or pans or even oil, salt and pepper. A basically useless huge kitchen. No English is spoken so it was difficult to even get someone to bring us a frying pan to heat leftovers! The villa was huge but cold and it took 2 days to get someone to have a blanket dropped off! No wine opener, nothing to heat water for tea, no kitchen linens or paper products, and this villa could have been special if there was any effort to make it more comfortable.
The location of the complex itself was good.. At some time in the past, the complex was probably first rate. Loved the breakfadt in the morning. Chose from a menu of about 7 or 8 items. Staff was nice although didnt speak any English (fine, we ARE in their country). Thank God for Google Translate.
Our room was dark, dingy and very rustic. Lighting was medieval. No heat in the room. Extra blanket was brought for us. The pictures were amazing. Not at all like the pictures
Everything was great! Very functional villas, all facilities working as expected having big spaces in all rooms and kitchen. Nice breakfast, with outstanding staff service.Very pleasant stay!!!
There were cats, always a plus, the food was good, the room very spacious. Very good location and spacious pool. The servers are extremely nice and remember you.
There should be a microwave, the furniture in reception has a bad smell, the breakfast buffet is ONLY available on weekends, during the week a very limited selection. The pool is sometimes too hot and to use the stove you have to call in for extra help.
