    Pros +

    • The hotel is located in the historic district, 3 blocks from the Zocolo/main city square. Easy walking distance to metro, shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Very clean rooms, great shower; roof top bar is very nice (2)cafes on-site
    • Beautiful, elegant and very creative use of an historic building. We loved so many details such as the lighting in the room, color scheme, multi-level atrium with glass in the floors, vintage elevator, live greenery in the bathroom, and so much more.
    • Staff

    Cons -

    • Interior rooms have absolutely no natural light. Very, very dark hallways and front desk area.
    • I might not stay in the Centro Historico district again because of congestion, but that's true of anything in the area. I think the small lobby is key to the concept, but it could be a bit grander. The lack of natural light in most rooms.
    • Not so easy to navigate with mobility issues

The location was great and the place was very clean.

We stayed in room #210. It was next to the elevator shaft and there was clanking all night whenever someone used the elevator.

    Location

Not worth the price. I booked a King room, the room is quite simple, no view at all, one small window looking at a concrete wall, A/C didn’t work properly so the room was freezing. At a rate of $400 (inc tax) per night value for money is very poor.Hotel did not recognise the offers I’d selected from Booking.com. In part Booking.com’s issue as not all the information is reached them, but I had emailed the hotel 4-5 days before arrival with questions and to confirm the offer from Booking and they didn’t respond, via Booking or via direct email. It was resolved in the end but it was a struggle at check-in.

The location was perfect. I was going to the Zocalo, and it was 7 minutes walking distance.

    A little overpriced.

The staff was lovely and the rooms were serviceable.

The rooms do show a bit of wear. I got an exceptionally good price. Had I been paying full price I may have been disappointed. The area is central but not beautiful.

The location was a cohort ride from the airport and the suite we booked was one floor below the rooftop restaurant and bar which was nice. The entrance has heavy doors which makes you feel safe and the location was very walkable.

The pool photo is very misleading as it is not a very large pool area designed for poolside lounging which was the entire reason we booked this hotel. We ended up not using the pool at all. The a/c although working was not working great so the room felt very warm. We had a group of three so had to use the couch sofa which was not very comfortable. There is a lot of street noise at night which can make it hard to fall asleep.

Good location when visiting the Centro Histórico, if you venture beyond the centro traffic can be a problem. Comfortable room, great bath and shower, and very good breakfast provided. Service throughout the property was excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was very nice and attentive. The rooms were spacious with real, cozy European-style blankets. Water pressure in shower was great (very important for ladies with long hair ?). The location is perfect—just a short walk to the main square in Mexico City.

What I didn’t like as much was that it was a bit noisy—we woke up around 4 a.m. hearing our neighbors shower for about 30 minutes. Also, in some parts of the room, the wall paint wasn’t applied very well, which didn’t look great. And there were visible streaks on the floors from cleaning or mopping.

We liked the hotel and the staff a the Hotel. We loved the staff and restaurant on the ground level. The Staff and restaurants on the top floor were terrible. Disappointing as we went to the pool eveyday.

Every single time we wanted a drink at the pool we needed to get up and go tell the restaurant staff that we wanted to order something. We had to ask for dirty dishes by the pool to be taken away.

    Nice room

City centre is not so great place for exploring the city, honestly. Everything is ok, but it not a wow you expecting from photos and very dark everywhere

The building is surprising and has been beautifully renovated

The location is nice but is maybe missing bars and restaurants but great to feel the local vibe

Hotel staircase and elevators are beautiful, original and well preserved. It's an old office building repurposed to be a hotel. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and helped us a lot with the baggage. Location is convenient to explore the east and central parts of the city.

The walls are very thin and you can hear the TV from the rooms next door. Because of the open space layout and no separation between the terrace lounge and the rooms, all the noise (blenders, etc.) and music from the restaurant located on the terrace get to the rooms. Also, dining options at this hotel are subpar and not what you would expect for this price. I ordered room service once and the quality of the dish was just sad. The rooms are a bit dated, our door key card chip fell off during our stay and wasn't replaced by the hotel. The hotel has a stunning architecture but that's pretty much it.

    The bed.

Loads, but most of all, the hotel was really COLD, there was no heating in the whole of the hotel, even the receptionist wore a puffer jacket on duty. We complained, as in January, Mexico City gets cold after 4, and we are in our 70s, we complained and they gave us a 3 bar electric heater (for a 3 roomed bedroom: big bathroom, study and bedroom) and blankets. They said they would take our first night off the bill, but went back on this promise. Don;t be fooled by the picture of the pool, it is tiny, not a lap-pool. Also could not get wine in the restaurant (and this is supposed to be the Hilton!!!). The manager was very unhelpful. Not a nice hotel, too cold and uncomfortable.

    Very disappointing!!!

The heating in the room was not working, it was large room and an old hotel building. when enquired they said it was out of order and no apologies , then sent a faulty plug in heater which did not heat the room up. ( and was dangerous) Pretty disappointing for top class hotel chain like Hilton . When complained did not make any accommodation to make our stay pleasant , will definitely avoid staying there again .

I didn’t get a chance to order breakfast. However, dinner was delicious.

My room was next to the elevators and could hear them moving.

Incredible shower, great cafe and rooftop pool

    5GerardoPosted on: 7-22-2024

The building and the interiors. The people at the front desk always were very helpful and kind. Specially Agustin was very kind at the check-in. Good value for your money. Breakfast at ojo de agua is good.

The restaurant on the roof top took almost one hour and a half to bring 5 dishes; 4 pastas and 1 meet for lunch, Not too complicated to accomplish. We had 2 king rooms and 2 suites. The suites are great with windows to the street. (If you can handle some normal noise for CDMX downtown,.not a big deal for us) The king rooms don't have outside windows and there was a smell of seclusion and sewage during the night. They don't have valet neither self parking lot.
