    • Location and staff were the best of this hotel
    • We felt very comfortable in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace is a great way to start the day. We would stay there again anytime.
    • locationlovely old building

    Cons -

    • Breakfast was simple and not much tasty, and there was some noise from other rooms and I think that from the hostel was annoying
    • No windows in roomBathroom had bad sewage smellsTap/faucet broken and despite being reported 3 times remained brokenBiring breakfast
    • rooms heat up during the day (over 20 degrees Celcius), even in winter; we could open the balcony window to let in cool air, but some rooms overlook the inner courtyard and have no window to the outside, so you would have to run the AC in January; "rain" shower was inconvenient--either you had to wear a shower cap or get your hair completely wet while showering; be sure to dress warmly for outdoor breakfast in winter

very large room (we had the suite with kitchen); excellent breakfast buffet on the rooftop terrace with eggs and other warm items daily as well as yoghurt, fruit, and toast; lovely inner courtyard; great downtown location; good internet; comfortable bed

I would not recommend this hotel, staff need some lessons on friendliness. Then there was the fact that we had no hot water for the duration of the stay along with two morning having no water. Then there was the lift door that just opened with no lift to walk into, this could have killed someone. Would I stay there again, no.

the fact that there was no water on two of the morning of our three day and when we did there no hot water.

Location is great, bed was comfy. We were there for 1 night only in a private double with no window - which we knew. It was decent enough for the price and what we needed. They have a few extra toiletries to buy at reception which were cheap.

Breakfast vos be improved, very basic (unmanned, help yourself, hostel like) It is on the rooftop - luckily we didn't have rain. There is shower gel and liquid hand soap but it was a bit difficult to get out of the bottles due to where the holder was placed, couldn't push the top down much to get any soap out.

    Location, facilities, breakfast

    The room had no window

    8PattiPosted on: 12-18-2025

The elevator did not work so we had to climb the stairs to our second floor room and to breakfast on the fourth floor.

    2TirthaPosted on: 12-17-2025

It was extremely frustrating to see that the hotel did not have a lift. What if a visitor were physically challenged. Would an immediate refund have been available? is that how the hotel advertises on Booking.com saying -"we don't have elevator."

This hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed at. Front desk staff speak English and breakfast was good. Location is very central to everything you need as a tourist. Extremely safe. The building itself looks like you are in a museum. Very vintage looking.q

Location was great. If you want to explore Centro Historico this is the spot. Close to plenty of museums and good restaurants both economical and fancy. Building is restored to a nice mix of modern and colonial style. Staff was awesome. Young man doing the room cleaning was great, very friendly and always was very respectful. Front desk staff was very accommodating, first night we got a room the was street view and was super noisy, we asked for a new one and we were switched, no questions or issues.

Kitchen staff will stop putting out food at least 30 minutes before scheduled time.

Great location, comfortable beds and we had a spacious room with a separate kitchen as we had a long stay.

Noise can carry from other rooms eg high heel shoes in room above, but you’d get that with any old building.

Very comfortable rooms, beautiful hotel and great breakfast

Drainy smell in bathroom that was quite strong at times

    8LeonardusPosted on: 11-8-2025

Central location, friendly and helpful staff.

There is a lot of noise in the hotel.

    10OWENPosted on: 11-6-2025

Smooth check-in and check-out. Smack right in the historic centre. Maximillan was excellent

    7JonnaPosted on: 10-21-2025

Very close to Zocalo and the metro

Lack of sunlight in the rooms, bathroom tiles grout look moldy, and there’s no shower door or curtain so the water while showering pools by the toilet

Locations and facilities, e.g. decorations with likely ancient goods.

Few staffs were not speak English, when we were check-in the girls speaks very well, helps a lot!
