DORUK PALAS HOTEL

One of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. No frills, just good, clean rooms, kind, thoughtful staff, and an incredible view of Istanbul. I could not possibly recommend Doruk Palas more. I will be back!

I loved this place. The room is clean and comfy, nice breakfast, great location, super friendly and fun owners and management. The best customer service I even seen in my lifetime!! I recommend this hotel to everyone!

Doruk Palas is a family run hotel and staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. Their hospitality is exceptional. The rooms were maintained at a high standard of cleanliness. We had lovely views from our window and the breakfast spread was really good. It has good connectivity through buses, trams and metro. The owners and staff were available to take care of our every request. Highly recommend staying here.

The staff, hotel cars, and breakfast were great. The close proximity to the metro, ferry, and local attractions was good as well.

The mattress was too firm and the shower drained slowly. The location is in a super hilly neighborhood so not suitable for people with mobility issues.

AC doesn’t work, doors of all rooms slamming very loud at night it wakes you up, if you open your window to get fresh air mosquitoes fly inside and bite you all night, nobody offered us scrambled egg or something else during breakfast, you choose only what’s on the table and there’s almost nothing to eat.

The staff and hotel kitties at this hotel were lovely. The breakfast was really good as well and the location is convenient to a metro stop and Galata Tower. Rooms have an amazing view of the mosque across the water. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate for our short stay.

The bed was very hard and the shower didn’t drain well. The bathroom is very small. The neighborhood is very hilly and it can be loud in the morning with the call to prayer blasting from nearby mosque.

Every single thing about the property was great starting with the staff, Mr. Mohammed, Hassan, Mr. Roosevelt.. the proximity to a great lively area.. 5 minutes from Galata tower. Breakfast was great.

There is nothing I can point to that I disliked.

This was our third visit to Istanbul, and without a doubt, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and kindness of the staff made us feel truly welcome — every single person was incredibly friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed.Our room was very nice, cleaned every day, and the view took our breath away. The location couldn’t be better, with the metro just a short walk away, making it so easy to explore the city.Thank you, Doruk Palas Hotel, for making our holiday unforgettable. When we return to Istanbul — and we surely will — this will be the place we come back to. ❤️

Very helpful staff, clean room and a good view of the Golden Horn. Good breakfast. They even gave us a free room upgrade.

Rooms are a bit smallish

We loved the location and the quality of the property itself. It’s a comfortable hotel with all the expected amenities but with a 5-star service which to is puts them at the top. The location is great for exploring all the major sites of Istanbul and you are at walking distance to Galata Tower and the bridges to cross to the Sultanahmet. Their staff is genuinely caring and helpful, and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, give you suggestions on what to do and how to do it, and are just all around fantastic people you would like to grab a cup of tea with. A shout out to Gofrane who helped us plan a day out, Muhammad who was always courteous and welcoming, Bilal who practices his Spanish with us and greeted us most nights and Ahmad who was always there to help. The breakfast is great and filling and sets you up for a day of sightseeing and they offer transfer services to and from the airport which was really great as grabbing an uber or taxi at the airport can be a bit overwhelming and public transport is not really an option.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was also good. The owner Mohammed continually helped us with suggestions for dinner, sightseeing and things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The view from the penthouse deck is stunning

Wonderful stay, the staff were incredible went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, arranged for pick up from and to the airport, suggested restaurants and places to visit. Very close to Galata Tower and restaurants but quiet at night for a restful sleep.

First of all position is great - nearby Galat tower and on the close rich to metro and to Gold horn.But the most fascinating are people - stuff is incredible helpful and with warm welcome. I had never experienced such a friendly approach- thank you Doruk team.

The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. They were happy to answer any questions we had about restaurants, public transportation, and sights. They were happy hotel was very cozy and we had a beautiful view of the Golden Horn from our room. The breakfast was very good.
