I looked forward to the morning breakfast every day. The location is perfect! Walking distance to almost everywhere we Wanted to visit. The room was pleasantly quaint. All staff was helpful, and super friendly. They help guide us to places

If you are looking for something that is modern an upgraded with a Jacuzzi, this will not be for you. But the room and bathroom are both cozy, comfortable and clean, I would definitely stay here again.

Location Location Location! Heated towel racks which came in handy on a cold rainy day! Beautiful Turkish décor in the room. Friendly outgoing staff.

The room was a bit too small but highly functional and comfortable.

I’m so impressed by their attitude around hospitality. So kind but not disturbing our own space.

I don’t know how to explain but most of time a taxi couldn’t come closer to the hotel as it is in a particular area. Each time I needed to walk at least 7 minutes. If you have anything to carry, no problem.

Excellent breakfast and great location

One day when we got back from a full day of touring our room hadn’t been cleaned yet. We mentioned this to the front desk and they did send someone in that evening to clean it.

Location is the best in town. Breakfast was top knotch. Extra thanks to the wonderfull Sevgi for the delicious turkish coffee each morning!

The Ottoman Hotel Imperial offers a wonderful value and a perfect location for visiting the key sites of the old town in Sultanahmet. The Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sophia, and the Basilica Cistern are literally 1 to 2 minutes on foot from the front door. The lovely Gulhane Park is also just a short walk away.If you wish, you can book one of the rooms that overlooks the Hagia Sophia and see the faithful going in and coming out, and even hear the prayers from inside the mosque.The hotel is charming and friendly, and the front desk staff are skilled at arranging your airport transfers. Breakfast was always made easy and bright with the help of Sevgi and Tuncay. The breakfast room itself is lovely - overlooking the minarets and buildings of the old city, and the famous architect Sinan's madrasa.

Some of the hotel's infrastructure shows wear and tear, but the location, friendliness and value outweighed any concerns about that for us. We will plan to stay again when we return to Istanbul.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They have an electric golf cart that can pick you up at the road, as it is on an old cobblestone non motor vehicle street. They just have the taxi or you call and will meet you to transport. The breakfast buffet was superb. The location is super close to the Hague Sophia and Blue Mosque.

I didn't know about the electric golf cart initially, so had to go uphill, stepped, cobblestone alley with my suitcase when initially arrived.

Great location for old town Istanbul. All major attractions within walking distance. Breakfasts were excellent. Staff was helpful!!

Room was a bit small and hard to maneuver around.

Historic hotel, close to all the main attractions in Sultanahmet, great staff, plentiful breakfast, just across Ayasofya, that is now a working mosque, you willhear the muezzin calls.

The breakfast room is excellent with a stunning view. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The omlettes were good. The coffee could have been better. Food was varied and plentiful. The steps up to the room were a little precarious for me

My room was down four flights of stairs (no lift) The room was very noisy, I was moved up one level. This room was very dark, opened on to a derelict balcony and shaft, and felt very dingy. Both rooms were shabby and in need of renovation.

Ideally located most attractions are foots away from the hotel

At the check out they over charged me as the price was locked but still they charged me over the mentioned price

Breakfast was ok, standard buffet options with several fresh fruits (watermelon, peaches, plumbs, apples), but nothing exceptional. Good thing is that you can order omelet. Orange juice was made from oranges and not those cheap artificial drinks. More meat options would be good. Coffee was OK.Rooms were clean - they clean them every day. AC unit was OK but it could get too cold during sleep.

Tramway and road noise!!!If your room is looking at the main tramway road (Sultanahmet - Gulhane) forget about sleep. We tried to change rooms but hotel was already full. If possible avoid rooms in that part of the hotel.

Close to major attractions. You can see Hagia Sophia from the rooms at the front of the hotel.

We checked in here, but ended up booking a different hotel immediately before staying even one night. Our room looked much smaller and more dingy and tired than in the photos on Booking.com. We had a free upgrade through Booking.com, so I selected a room with a view, but, when we got there, our window faced a sad-looking alleyway on the side of the building with a view of a metal air duct. Obviously disappointing when the selling point for the hotel is that it faces Hagia Sophia. Primarily, we chose to leave because the air fresheners and fragrances in our room were suffocatingly strong. Unbearable.

Our stay at this hotel was truly fantastic from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Sevgi, Cemal and Memeth made us feel like home. We can’t praise them enough. Not just them but the entire staff. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and with a beautiful view of the Hagia Sophia. The overall ambiance truly captured the essence of Istanbul’s rich history.The location is perfect — close to major attractions such as Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, restaurants, and public transportation, yet quiet enough for a peaceful rest at night. We especially appreciated the daily breakfast, which offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options, including traditional Turkish breakfast. This hotel made our Istanbul trip even more memorable, and we would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!

Our room was comfortable and clean, with a nice view. However, the bathroom could use some attention. While functional, it felt a bit dated and could benefit from some updates or maintenance to match the overall quality of the hotel.

Extremely noisy- street noise and calls to prayer from adjacent mosque.

It is the best location near haga sophia, blue mosque and topkapi palace, especially for people who can't walk to far because of disability. Grand bazaar is only 800m away.Michelin awarded restaurant in the hotel. Very friendly staffs. Buggy is always available if you need it.

Noisy room with the streetcars almost running through our room. That was not communicated before.Also, the hotel cannot be approached by taxis. The hotel facilitates by shuttling you to a maffia taxi stand, where taxi drivers do not want to use the meter. All in all a maffia arrangement

Location is perfect- the Hagia Sofia is right across from the hotel and the hippodrome a block away . Walking at night to the monuments when lit up very safe and quiet . Restaurants and shopping and tram ( which we didn’t use ) also close and the Galata bridge a short walk. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.Excellent breakfast and staff ! Room comfortable
