Hotel Sultanhan - Special Category

location is excellent and staff are friendly. we have stayed here numerous times.

It is a lot of money for a special category hotel and we asked for a specific room (507) which we always get and received a different one. A bit disappointing as we did ask and was told this would be possible.

This was the 2nd stay - they forgot to leave complimentary water and forget to replace toilet paper. Part of the property need updating.

Hotel location and view from the breakfast restaurant were good.

WiFi was terrible. Very weak wifi signal in my room and terribly low speed.

Great location within walking distance from main tourist sites and restaurants.Staff were exceptionally helpful especially Mustapha. Needed additional services and they were willing to accommodate my needs. Will stay here again.

Hotel location is good, right in the centre of historical part of the city. But it means you will wake up 5 am with the sound of mosque praying voices. Room is big enough, clean and nicely decorated in authentic style. Breakfast is very nice and fruitful, you can take it to the room and enjoy it at the balcony.Staff was nice and polite and helped with taxi and city navigation.

Unfortunately there was a big cockroach on the wall on the 3rd day and it hided somewhere in the walls. There was no iron, and it was just one cup in the room.Balcony is big and nice, but it’s face wall is so high so you can see the sea and city only if you stand up.

An older hotel but very rustic with lots of charming artisan crafts hanging everywhere. Service was really good, even though with a slight language issue with the cleaning staff, they make an effort to make our stay very good. Location is great, one can walk to all the main historical sites and the tram was close by.

Perfect location. The stuff on the reception desk was very helpful and polite. Great view from the roof top restaurant.

Everything was amazingAnd when I had a problem with my return taxi to the airport they sorted it all out for me within minutes

Most of all, I liked the location and the staff, everybody was very welcoming, supportive and friendly.They provided breakfast to the room free of charge and also decreased last stay of mine which I really appreciate.Staff is the best value this hotel has and only then the great location. Location is quite and beatutiful neverthelles surrounding quite noisy.

Breakfast has to be changed definitely, otherwise it loses the turkish traditionality.Room facilities and supplementaries has to be upgraded for almost everything.

Everything. First of I will start with the extreme courteous and helpful staff. From the Manager to every employee. Really helpful and going above and beyond for your satisfaction and help. It was my first time in Turkey and we reached hotel at around 11 pm but they didn't bother us by cumbersome paper work and money issues. Extended check out was another favor they did to us cause of our 2 year old. Breakfast menu is good. They are really following the health guidelines for Covid 19 so be sure that you will be in safe hands. Overall vibe is really from Ottoman era. Really nice Facade

Too much noise from the other guest. Plus the acoustic is not good cause you can hear the noise of the tv from the next room.

The overall value, location and experience with the staff..... would definitely come and stay!The front desk guy, specially the morning guy I am embarrassed I forgot his name) and the lady serving breakfast were exceptional .... they were at the top of there game and made our stay so much more special.... arranged for dinner reservations, PCR testing and anything in general...superb customer service!!!

A bit older furniture, a little dusty (maybe opening up after COVID) and lack of ability to control the AC.... it was too warm... we couldn’t just have the fan on without the heat on.... eventually had to turn off the climate control and keep the windows open... which was a pretty cool experience by itself!Another disappointment was the amazing roof top but due to CoVID it was not functional... hopefully that will comeback soon!

We had a superior room with balcony. It was amazing. Soft amazing matrice.

Close to sites and transportation and clean. Turkishly decorated with lovely things.

This hotel is in the center of Istanbul. Everything was within walking distance. Perfect location. I will come back again
