Sur Hotel Sultanahmet

My mother got COVID 2 days before her stay in this hotel. We called the hotel to ask to reschedule (and for 7 nights instead of original 5). The hotel management answer was (verbatim): "And who do you think will pay for these 5 nights?"

Hotel should find a way, like majority other hotels, provide some flexibility for guests in circumstances like mine. I even offered to provide a document proving that my mother got COVID). In addition, they should learn to be more polite/professional.

Staff was very helpful, they arranged for our Covid pct tests, our taxi to take us to airport with very reasonable price, they were very hospitable, polite and very friendly.. made us feel at home, hotel was tiny but we had fun and enjoyed our stay..

We really enjoyed our stay in Sur Hotel. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and the location is close to Blue Mosque, Hagia, Basilica & tram station.

A great, cosy, calm and comfortable place to stay, everything is close to the main iconic places, restaurants, train station, markets, etc, staff is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and always helpful. It’s located right in the heart of Sultanahmet—just a short walk to all the main attractions. Perfect for a stay in Istanbul!

I recently stayed at **Sur Hotel Sultanahmet**, expecting a comfortable stay based on the advertised photos. Unfortunately, the reality was disappointing. The cleanliness was below acceptable standards, and the location was tucked away in a far, less convenient street, making it harder to access key attractions. The actual condition of the hotel did not match the pictures shown online.On top of that, the reception staff was rude during check-out and refused to provide a check-out letter or any proof of our early departure, even when we specifically requested it. After leaving, we attempted to contact management regarding a partial refund, but our concerns were completely ignored.A responsible hotel should engage with customers and provide transparency, but this one failed on both fronts. I strongly advise future guests to reconsider booking here.

I have been stayed in this hotel several times this time they upgrade me to annex building to deluxe room free of charge it was bigger than I booked with small kitchenette I recommend to everyone

The apartment, although on the small side, was clean and comfortable. An added bonus was two balconies either side, one overlooking a lovely sea view and the other looking at the Blue Mosque (very close). There was a private lift that would have opened straight into the room but unfortunately they had lost the keys to it apparently. No real problem as there was only a short flight of stairs from the 2nd floor lift. The location is ideal, close to the main centre (about 5-10 min walk) but a very quiet area. No local shops as such but there are little supermarkets just off the main square. They have a 24 hour reception in the next street which while we were there was operated by a delightful lady (I forgot to ask her name - sorry!). I'd highly recommend this place for your visit.

Very good location!! The staff very friendly and helpful!! Our room had an amazing view with two balconies!!!

Their only problem was the cleaning...unfortunately the room wasn't clean enough and it made my stay not very comfy.

The breakfast is almost the same every day, but it's not a big deal.

Nice staff, nice view to have with breakfast. The view from the rooms is not so visible, as there is a building / ruins across.

In our economy room on the third floor we had to ask every evening to get the heating started, so it tended to be a bit chilly. But it was still comfortable

The staff is simply amazing and deserve more than 10 …Royal was very helpful and always made sure that all the needs are met very effectively same with Suna at Night she is very nice and so talented with speaking many languages also Mansour was nice and Hassan was great and always greeted us with his authentic turkish kind smile during breakfast

1- Breakfast is a set plate and can be better2- room cleaning can be better (room cleaning is on demand and they ask you everyday if its needed but im talking about the cleaning process)

We had a great stay at Sur Hotel Sultanahmet—everything was clean and welcoming. A big thanks to Royal, who was always there to help with any request about the hotel and made our visit so easy and enjoyable!

It was close to blue mosque and Aya Sofia.

The property is not as described like the photos. We stayed in the ‘Annexe building’ which wasn’t an annexe to the Sur Hotel. It was a totally different building called Seven Suites. It was a 2min walk from the Sur Hotel. The room had a bad odour as though no one stayed in the place for a long time. But the man did give me an air freshener which minimised the stench slightly. Amongst the 3 rooms we booked, one bedding had some chilli flakes on it, bed sheet has some strands of hair which was also visible on a towel too. One of the duvet had a Tobacco smell to it. The man asked us for our passports and said he will photocopy them but he took pictures of them on a phone which I felt was unprofessional. The description and pictures are somewhat misleading. I should have taken pics of the place to add to this review. The management of the hotel could do better without misleading guests with inaccurate pictures and a false description.
