Amofta Hotel Taksim

Great family managed boutique hotel, very quiet, delicious breakfast, in a great location, walking distance from Taksim square and Istikal street. Highly recommended.

Only Location

My stay at this hotel was a very bad experience. The hotel closes its doors at midnight, and the receptionist (especially Azat) was extremely rude and unhelpful. The place feels more like a private house than a hotel, as the owners themselves handle food and cleaning, which significantly lowers the quality of service. At check-out, they refused to extend the time even for 15 minutes and kept calling and knocking on my door in a very impolite way. On top of that, they also refused to allow me to leave my luggage until my flight, which made the experience even worse. Unfortunately, this is not a real hotel, and I strongly advise anyone traveling with children not to stay here due to the extremely poor treatment

The staff was amazing! All of them made my stay such a wonderful time. The room was better than expected, very comfortable, nice and clean.

The breakfast can improve a little bit and they should include some local delights (baklavas)

Location couldn’t have been better. Front desk manager Emran was lovely and very gracious. The breakfast was lovely. The Hotel feels like those boutique hotels on the left bank in Paris. Main Shopping street starts here at the sq as well as main metro line so coming from the Airport is so simple. Room was well decorated and appointed.

Our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The economy rooms are located below ground level, which was not ideal. The lift was extremely small, making it difficult to use comfortably. The hotel itself is quite old, and this was particularly evident in the bathroom. The shower was incredibly cramped, and it was nearly impossible to balance the hot and cold water due to the old taps. The bathroom water was not draining properly, causing a pool to form, and despite informing the staff, they did not bother to address it. During our two-day stay, room service never came. When we mentioned this to the staff, they informed us that we needed to request it in advance, and there was no service available after 3 PM. The value for money was very poor, and the current score on booking sites is misleading. This hotel definitely does not deserve such a high rating.

The boutique experience! The best part is how close it is to taksim and the metro that makes it accessible to all locations. The beds were super comfortable!

The rooms were relatively small.

This Beyoglu located hotel is boutique and very personable. The staff (Alex, Emrah & Mehmet) become friends over the days and are very attentive. Included Turkish breakfasts and arriving back at the end of the day to fresh cake or pastry. The rooms are terrific - recommend the balcony rooms. A few minutes to the Taksim-Tunnel Tram, similar to the Taksim Metro and in the new part of Istanbul.

Beautiful small hotel in near Taksim in the center of Istanbul. Room was very clean, nicely decorated and cleaned every day.Guys at the reception make you feel like home.Breakfast is one of the best things here. Turkish breakfast is served and a nice lady is close to help with anything needed. You just feel like at home here.

Everything was perfect

Location. Staff were kind, polite and communicative.

There was a terrible smell coming out of the bathroom due to sewer, so unbearable that we had to leave the room. It happened twice during our one day stay. First around 3pm and second time during our sleep at 1am. We slept very short time and when we woke up we had bites from some kind of insects all over our legs, stomach…BTW, we choose hotel because the good reviews.

Located right next to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, the hotel is conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk from Taksim Metro. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Alex at the reception was helpful and assisted us in planning our city tour.

The air conditioning was not functioning properly. We were offered a room change, but Alex informed us that all rooms had similar issues with the AC. Additionally, the bathroom door lock was broken.

The location was great. Close to everything. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cosy hotel and comfy.

Small room but comfortable

Excellent location, few min from Taksim.Mostly, staff is very helpful and polite.

The rooms on the first floor are extremely noisy. Our room 102 was situated exactly above the reception. We could hear how the phone rang on the reception, how somebody opened the door. All the talkings.The dining room is an open area on the ground, and there is no any door and soundproof. If you don't plan to wake up at 7 a.m. anyway, you will do it because you will hear how people use their forks and knives and how they move their chairs.Under the windows were sits and tables, people were smoking and talking almost all night long. So we couldn't open our windows.Breakfast is poor, and every day was the same: white cheese, olives, honey, jam, bread, omelette, cucumber, tomatoes, some flakes.Only once we had watermelon.One morning, we killed a small cockroach ?.The room is very small.Mattress is comfortable, but it's already dented.

The staff was really helpful. They book us trips and help with a lot of things (public transportation, places to go etc.)The hotel is looking very good, clean and modern.
