Galatower Hotel

Great service and the room was perfect for my needs.

Very close, only a 2-minute steep walk to Galatower and the main attractions and restaurants around.

The location is very good as it’s 3 minutes from galata tower and the view from the terrace is beautiful

The housekeeping was really bad never removed any of the garbage didn’t charge the toiletries and kept the same dirty bed sheets

Good location in walking distance to key areas in Istanbul but be prepared for hills! Nice staff at reception that were friendly and helpful.

Room wasn't the cleanest. Noticed hairs in bed and crumbs on floor so definitely could be improved. Didn't bother us too much as we only stayed one night.

Dirty, smelly, no hot water

Before I stepped into the Galatower Hotel, I noticed a large pile of trash directly across the street. I didn’t think much of it—but it turned out to be a fitting preview of what was to come.My room was in poor condition. The glass shower door looked like it had never been cleaned. There was visible mold. The room had a persistent bad smell. There was no hot water. Several fixtures were broken: the soap tray in the bathroom was hanging off the wall, the safe didn’t work, and the closet door handle fell off the first time I touched it. One of the complimentary toiletry bottles had clearly been used by a previous guest.Housekeeping did not visit the room during my stay. I booked through Booking.com, which left me with no option for a refund after the first night—even though I ended up leaving the hotel and checking in elsewhere.

The apartment is nice and cozy.

I didn't like the location of the hotel it's located like a mountain or at a hill all the area is like that who visited karakoy will understand what I was suffering from.

The staff were very kind and helpful, the design of the hotel is vintage style which I liked. Also the taxi service was very good.

It wasn’t very clean, the previous used toilet paper was still in the holder, the bed side table were dusty, sheet wasn’t also very clean. Since the hotel is near the Galata tower the area is in quite high area, so it’s hard to come with big luggages.

My room was lovely and the view from the terrace was great. They had a weighing scale at the reception which was extremely helpful to me at that time.

The location was amazing. Staff was great.

The toilet was constantly smelling of sulfur. And the beds were uncomfortable. The sheets were not attached to the beds so they came off often.

I absolutely loved my stay at [Hotel Name]! The location was perfect — right in the heart of everything, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, with every detail carefully thought out. The view from my window was stunning — especially at sunrise/sunset, it made my mornings unforgettable.The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere of the whole place radiated calmness and positive energy. I left with great memories and would definitely come back again!

Cute lil hotel with beautiful views. Nice and friendly host and crew. Good and filling breakfast. Me and my mom stayed for one night and everything was good. We enjoyed the view when we woke up to sunrise. The room and facilities were comfortable.

Location is good, near Metro Station & Tran Station, kind Staff, nice Terrace.

Some taxis took time to arrive. Bathrooms in need of a little maintenance mainly in baths.

near to galata tower. great the front desk staff. He offer me upgraded room without any asking to make sure comfort stay for me and my family.

It’s very well located near Galata Tower, you can even see it from the top terrace!, need to consider the area it’s rough on terrain, so there are some high walks while leaving or coming to the hotel.

Everything was great, just to consider a maintenance or maybe complete make over for the bathrooms.

The location is great - right next to Galata tower and with good public transportation connection. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Given the price, it was a good value for money.

Wi-Fi is really bad, you cannot count on it - anywhere in the hotel. The transfers are overpriced especially the one for 6 people. We stayed in a different hotel a second time in Istanbul on the way back and we paid -20Eur for the transfer for 6 people.

Rustig hotel in de drukke buurt rondom de Galatoren. Prima kamer met airconditioning om wat af te koelen na een zomerse stadswandeling. Behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Goede prijskwaliteitsverhouding.

The location is excellent (minus the large hill to get to the gala hotel) and the rooftop was nice.

The cleanliness. We requested new towels (which was a hassle) and when they gave us towels they were used and dirty. They were wet and smelled like they were just used after someone's shower. The smell was very obvious. The shower nozzle was broken and kept falling off the wall. The toilet flusher barely worked. The phone in the room doesn't work. The electric outlets don't work on the rooftop and there's no wifi there. We planned to get some work done but weren't able. There were many issues. I'd personally never stay here again.
