    • The hotel has an authentic turkish style that makes it unique, very clean. The main thing is the staff was very friendly, very helpful. I felt confortable talking to them about different things, taking their recommendations..
    • The hotel is located in an excellent location! Not far from transportation as well as some main attractions; close to various modes of public transit; there were plenty of restaurants, markets, convenience stores apothecaries around for all your medical cooking or hunger satisfying needs. Basically, the location is excellent. The room we stayed in was as advertised in the booking. It is a very cozy room for 2, tops 3, people and satisfies both housing needs as well as cooking needs if you fancy to cook your own meals (also has a microwave!). The living quarters are definitely nice and well furnished for its size. The staff is amazing! Both the owner and the housekeeping staff were an absolute joy to interact with and helped us out with whatever needs and requests we had. Bear in mind though, that the HK staff is not very fluent in English, but you will be able t0o communicate with them nonetheless. There was a small situation that we encountered during our stay with the plumbing in the washroom and the hotel owner and staff managed to rectify this issue in the best possible delays. I cannot praise their excellent customer service highly enough for the help they provided.
    • Perfect location! It was very convenient to live here with family and explore Istanbul. The apartment was clean and the beds are comfy. Small kitchen has everything for breakfast.

    Cons -

    • nothing really I had a great experience.
    • Although we were quite satisfied with our location and room; there are nonetheless, a few things that need mentioning. Honestly, if I could I would actually rate the place at a 9.5 rather than 9, yet these few thing need mention: First, not all electrical sockets seem to be working. Not that it was a serious issue, but I would like to point that small fact out. Second, although the room has functional tabletop stove, we had a bit of an issue using it: we were able to cook a few meals at different times but curiously, the stove would work once and then we'd have issues turning it back on. Specifically it would turn on, I could hear the device turn on and off but the stove itself would not heat. Luckily the staff, helped us rectify the issue and we were able to rectify it later on our own as well, but that could be a problem for a less patient guest. However, Despite these minor inconveniences, I will still highly recommend this hotel for those who want to visit Istanbul!
    • The narrow streets/lanes made somewhat difficult for aged people to move around.

The staff, especially sir Hassan Ali was extremely helpful during the stay and very attentive to our needs. He helped put our heavy luggage in storage when we arrived around 2 AM at the property. He was friendly and helpful to all of us there at all times!

I had a very positive experience at Alhambra Apart Hotel. The room was perfect — clean, comfortable, and everything worked perfectly.A big thank you to Hassan Ali, who was extremely helpful in so many ways. Whenever I contacted him on WhatsApp, he replied quickly and was always ready to assist. His support truly made my stay easier and more enjoyable. Thanks as well to Wafa, who was also incredibly kind, respectful, and welcoming.I highly recommend this hotel!

Decor in the basement room is slightly dated but well equipped and very clean. The location is perfect. Just off the main busy streets. To the north you have the main street with more expensive hotels, to the south you have another main street full of lovely restaurants. you are 15 minutes away walking from the Basilica, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Youre 5-10 minutes away walking from one of the main tram lines. Prime location. Possibly only downside, it's located on a relatively steep hill so might not be ideal for older people or those in wheelchairs.

The location is great. It’s close to many tourist attractions. The place is very safe and looked after. It has front people on site day and night. It is close to supermarket and restaurant.

The narrow streets/lanes made somewhat difficult for aged people to move around.

Located in a great central spot of the old Istanbul, less than a 20min walk from all the main attractions, near plenty of restaurants and minimarkets. It's absolutely worth the stay, if only for the great location. Hospitality was definitely our favorite thing - when we had a problem with the first room, they offered to transfer us to another one without complaints, and the staff was always kind and helpful with all the questions we had. You can use both the room key and a keypad to enter, meaning anyone can leave and re-enter easily without having the physical key. There is parking nearby for 15€ a day, and the hotel staff can also help you find it and pay for it (they take EUR as well as TL). Nothing stood out as unclean, including the less-commonly used throw pillows and the cutlery. You also get plenty of towels and single-use slippers. The kitchen has an induction-heated stove, with all the kitchenware you'll need, as well as a fridge. Unfortunately the freezer we had seemed to not be able to freeze properly, but that's okay. Shower pressure was good and the temperature had plenty of range, including scalding hot! Overall it was a well-located, friendly place to stay.

The building itself is old and very, very noisy, even for me, and I don't usually mind. I could hear the people across the hall chatting in their room clearly enough to make out what they were talking about. There is also one room in particular, N.401, that has all the A/C units of the building outside the window, and it's insanely loud, but they moved us when we asked. There is double-pane glass but it doesn't seem to do anything for noise. The rooms look a lot more spacious in the pictures, but are actually quite cramped, which was a bit uncomfortable as a family of four adults. I think it'd be great for younger families or solo travellers/couples.The beds were also very short - for reference, I am 158cm and struggled, my sister who is a bit taller couldn't stretch her legs on the single bed. The bathroom door in our second room was also not properly hinged and you needed to lift it or hit it to be able to close it. Soap unit could get stuck, too. For some reason, the hot/cold water in the shower and sink is inverted.Overall, the age of the building really shows, and our impression was that the renovations were quite hasty and not thought out too well, style over substance. If you're looking for a comfortable, long stay, this is not a place I'd really recommend. If your intention is to have a base to rest sometimes and you don't mind noise at night or the occasional door you have to strong-arm in exchange for a great location, helpful staff, and a cheap price, it's great value for money.

Location walking distance to many tourist attractions, and close to the tramway.

A couple of things, the bathroom door doesn't shut easily. The door is off-hung to where it's leaning and leans against the door frame. Have to lift it to shut. Also very squeaky. The other thing I didn't like, was the stove top. Didn't work the time from first time. Used and abused. I had staff come up several times in the morning to get it to turn on.

    9LordinaPosted on: 6-11-2025

The location is excellent. Staff members were always present and helpful, coming every day to pick up rubbish. The beds are so comfortable. Good lighting. Having shops very close by was a convenience.

It's not a massive building, so there was no lift to take bags up and down. In this day and age, I think a smart TV will make this apartment really excellent for guests' entertainment. I also did not like that locals were ready to cash in on foreigners. so one has to learn to bargain and bargain to pay the real price for things.

    7ConyaPosted on: 5-28-2025

Good room, overall I liked it a lot and it's great value for the price.

Missing soap (only shower gel was provided), and there was no bottle of water on the bed. At the end of the day, when you get to your room, you kind of hope for a bottle of water — maybe even a small snack. But maybe that’s just me

This review regarding to property only. No complaint against any staff. Staffs were good and cooperative. Majority people don’t know to speak English in Turkey.I visited in last week of March 2025 with family. I stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel has one room with cooking facility. It has not any single apartment in the building where I stayed. Bathroom door was not lock from inside and hanging hooks were broken. Shower gel, and shampoo provided but shaving tools not provided. Beds were comfortable. Room was ok for 3 adults only. Mirror or dressing table was not in room. Location of hotel is good. 10 to 13 minutes walk towards Haya Sofia and Blue Mosque in one direction. 10 to 15 minutes walk towards Tramway in another direction. There are restaurants and gorcery shops near to hote on walking distance. I am frequent user of booking.com. People of UAE should kept in mind that there is no comparison of facilities provided by the hotels of UAE and hotels of other countries. Even 2* Hotels of UAE provide shaving kits, iron with board without asking. Never try to book taxi through booking.com from Airport to destination it seems scam. It will be better to use Uber or other website for taxi. Taxi charges by Hotel are double. Normal Tax take 1300 to 1400 T Lira from Airport to Sultanahmet or Fateh. I paid in advance for taxi to booking.com but driver did not come to pick. You can book only hotel through booking.com.Taxi booking issue pertain to Booking.com not petain to the Alhambra Hotel. Anyways, hotel is recommendable for family if want to cooking in room.

The apartment was fine for 4 people. It was possible to cook using the kitchen. There are shops available in the area to buy food. Walkable distance to the historical city centre. It was a bit complicated to get there with the luggage, as the street goes up a hill.

    9FabioPosted on: 3-25-2025

The Residences are located in Sultanahmet, just a couple of minutes walk from the Ayasophia and Blue Mosque. It is surrounded by numerous restaurants and cafes but keep in mind that it is a touristy area which others may like, others don't. You can also walk to the Çemberlitas tramway station from where you can easily connect to Karaköy. Hence, location wise it is an ideal place to explore the touristic parts of Istanbul. The room itself was clean and comfortable, everything was there even hairdryer and toiletries. Always when I went out I found my room cleaned and tidied up.

The souterrain room can get quite noisy at times because of the street noise and the fact that the cleaning room is next door. For me it wasn't a big problem but if you are noise sensitive keep it in mind. The Hotel offers an Airport Shuttle to IST for 60€ which I find very pricey compared to other options.

Everything was very good. We stayed in March, when the nights are still cold - the room was very warm and the heating worked. The kitchen was small, but well equipped enough to make simple meals or breakfast. The city center is within walking distance, the street next to the house was quiet.

We could hear the neighbors upstairs very well, almost every step on the floor, but we were lucky that they were quiet. :)

The room was super clean and cozy, perfectly located in a great spot! The owner was incredibly friendly, always ready with helpful tips and even willing to make a call for you if needed. Felt really welcomed! ?

Next time, I think I'll pay more attention and read the booking details more carefully. There were a few little things here and there, but when I asked for an extra chair, the owner happily provided it, which was great. Also, getting an extra pillow upon request was a nice touch! ?

A great place to stop in Istanbul. We walked around the entire Fatih district. There are many main historical sites of Istanbul nearby. The steep slopes on the way to the hotel simply enchanted us. It was exotic and unforgettable. The view of the sea opened up below. The place is just perfect, at the same time quiet. We enjoyed everything at the hotel. The room is as in the photo. The entire design of the room and furniture is in the same style. It was nice to be there. Room 301 on the second floor for three people. There was plenty of room. We were lucky with the neighbors, so the hotel was quiet too. There was nothing wrong with the hot water. The watering can in the shower is large and comfortable. Very comfortable mattresses. The room is warm and comfortable, the batteries are hot. You can open the windows at night. So we all slept great. There was everything necessary for life (there was only no toothpaste), but we had our own. The room has a kitchenette: a microwave, a kettle, a touch stove, a sink, a refrigerator, and enough dishes for cooking. The A-101 store (a popular Turkish supermarket) is 5-7 minutes away (from the hotel down to the first left turn, then go straight ahead. The store will be on the right). The staff is always friendly. Cleaning and towel change every day. Islam speaks English at the reception, Karina (cleaning) speaks Russian.

Rooms were not soundproof. We were with two toddlers so they make noise when were in for short period of time.
