Grand Yavuz Hotel Sultanahmet

Rooms are small. No iron or facial tisse in the room. While taking shower it was not draining. We complained nothing was done to repair.

Easy access and loads of restaurants near the hotel. The view from our room was amazing. The room was big and nice 416

We was in room 416 and every morning around 6am there was noise from the pipes water noise which woke us up.

The location is excellent, with all the attractions just a short walk away. My review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning UMAY ATSLAY—my family and I met her at breakfast, and she truly represents the spirit of the hotel with her beautiful smile and willingness to help. She even showed us the basement near the breakfast lounge; an underground area that’s 800 years old.

Steep walkway to get to the main area and to catch public transportation. Ok for us but might be hard for people with mobility challenges

I recently stayed at this hotel and genuinely enjoyed the experience. We had two rooms (one for my husband and me, and one for my mom) and they gave us rooms right next to each other with the option to connect them, which was really convenient. Even though we showed up before check-in time, both rooms were already ready, so we got settled right away. The sea view was incredible, honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were always friendly and smiling, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable, which made the stay even better.

The bathroom only had a 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash, which I don’t like using on my hair, so I ended up using my own. The water temperature was also hard to control and kept shifting between hot and cold, and the water pressure wasn’t very strong. Another minor detail: the breakfast could use a few more sweet options, since that’s what I prefer in the morning. Other than that, everything was great, and I’d definitely be happy to stay here again.

Awesome location, 10 minute walk to the main sites in Sultanhamet. Very friendly staff at check in and check out. Lovely view from rooftop bar/restaurant. We had a great view of the Istanbul skyline from our room.

The decor of the hotel is quite dated, smells a bit musty and some mould was on the walls. But the bathrooms are fine.

My room was clean, beautiful, secure, and private.Staff were attentive, responsive, and timely.

I had to make a lot of calls from my room, and sometimes I had to stand in a particular spot in the room in order to get good coverage. Also it would have been lovely to have a few more vegan items for breakfast, such as a non dairy milk. Other than that there really was nothing but good stuff about my stay.

From the moment we entered the Hotel, the staff was very professional, kind, friendly and helpful.The rooms vere very clean, lovely cleaning lady was changing the towels every day.We enjoyed the garden as well, very quite and calming atmosphere. Our special THANK YOU to UMAY ATALAY - Guest Relations lady who was absolutely amazing, helped us alot even with buying some presents, ordering taxi the last minute and everything else.Let alone her beautiful smile!We will definitely recommend your hotel to anyone who is visiting Istanbul.Thank you

We loved everything.

The hotel is good. Miss Umayema in the hotel Public Relations Department offered us an excellent rooms, she is helpful and always smiling. Dowood also is a helpful man, he facilitated a lot of things to us.

The room has no iron, I asked the reception for one but they answered politely that it is not available at that time.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Umay helped us navigate the city and book a dinner cruise. Front desk staff were excellent too! Location was great. Just a short walk to the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar.

We did get a room with sea view, which is what made the stay for the hotel. Most of the staff specifically the dining staff and concierge were super helpful. The hotel was clean house keeping and seemed like they really enjoyed working at the hotel. The location is amazing and close to the tram and attractions. Breakfast was nice.

Unfortunately, the health room and Hammam were under construction during our stay but many others close to the hotels and would recommend getting one! I think the hotel could do with an update but does have the old world charm.Breakfast could have a bit more variety.

Within 15 minutes walking distance to major attractions like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace.Short distance to tram lines. Restaurants and cafes all around the hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Our room was tiny but it was free of charge because of Turkish Airways stopover, so could not expect huge rooms.

They need to add more variety to the breakfast as everyday same menu. Also it is nice if they start putting some lotion and body wash in the room.

We booked an extra night since the first 2 nights were complimentary due to Turkish Airlines stopover program. Location is walkable to many restaurants and all the sights for a first timer to Istanbul. Comfortable stay, enough space for the 3 of us in the triple room, wonderful staff, and great buffet choices for breakfast. We also did the private guided tour through the hotel with Murat and it was wonderful as well, showed us around from 8.30 until 18.00.

Excellent location, only 10 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque. The staff was extremely friendly throughout the whole stay.

Our room was very small with very limited space for our stuff, but I read comments about it so I was prepared, and the location and the staff compensated it :)

Proximity to tourist attractions

When trying to use key card to turn on lights it took 5 mins to work each time it was reinserted. Also not good breakfast options for suhoor.
