- Check in was no problem when we arrived at 22:00. We were warmly greeted and offered 2 rooms to pick from. We chose the top floor since it had a beautiful view of the Sultanahmed mosque (Blue mosque) and a view of some of the Bosphorus. The rooftop terrace was above us, which has gorgeous views during the day and is a great place for beer/wine in the evening. The room had a firm bed, closet, desk, water boiler, fridge. Room also has AC if needed. Bathroom was good size and had infinite hot water. It never got cold.
- The personal was super nice. We had problems with the language but he always tried to attend to our demands. The room had everything we needed. The place is also close to the center of the city and transportation.
- This is a great hotel in terms of price and quality. Also worth mentioning is the staff, who are ready to help guests in everything — this is really important. They speak English and Russian. Our room needed some cosmetic repairs, but it had everything you need for a comfortable stay. There was a refrigerator and an electric kettle in the room. On the top floor of the hotel there is a terrace where you can smoke or eat at any time of the day.
Cons -
- The bathroom had a noticeable slant. Everytime we walked in you would get a hit of dizziness that would eventually disappear. It was not noticeable in the shower though, just at the sink. It’s good to keep the windows closed during sunrise/sunset to keep mosquitos out.
- The smell of smoking. During the first day we could smell it in our room, eventhough we don t smoke.
- The only significant minus for me — every day at 6 am from our room you could clearly hear the singing of the mullah, even with earplugs. But this does not depend on the hotel, and gradually you get used to it just like the locals.

Amazing little hotel, exceptional for its price. Location is wonderful - the hotel is placed right in the old city center, with 3 minute walk to the seafront and about 10 minutes to Hagia Sophia. The room was very clean and spacious, with a comfortable double bed, a table, a fridge, a kettle, a hair dryer, good WiFi and air conditioner. Also there's a lovely open terrace on the rooftop with a beautiful view on the city, Hagia Sofya and Little Sofya and the sea - amazing place to sit with a coffee in the eveningThe staff is super friendly and hospitable, speaks English and Russian well, ready to help - the first night we noticed the lighting in the room felt a bit dim, and by the next evening they've already changed the lightbulbs. The rooms are cleaned regularly and neatly. Overall we've really enjoyed our stay, and if we're in Istanbul once more, we'll be happy to stay here again
The location is very good, but the streets around are lively and somewhat noisy, and the hotel is surrounded by three mosques, so muezzin calls could be heard quite loudly - it was ok for us and not a problem really, but better be ready
The location is perfect you can walk everywhere and don’t need a car. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. The terrace is amazing with a view of the Blue Mosque and Bosphorus. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The host even found us a free parking in front of the hotel even thoguh it wasn’t offered on booking. I can’t recommend more to book this hotel.
The stairs are steeps and there is no elevator so it can be challenging to carry the suitcase up the stairs, but the host carried our suitcase to our room.
Exceptional location of the hotel, which is a 5-minute walk from Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque and other religious and historical buildings in the mentioned part of the city. The room with two beds as well as the bathroom itself was extremely clean with excellent air conditioning. We were greeted at the reception by a friendly elderly gentleman (receptionist) who made our stay even more pleasant. The hotel has a roof where you can spend pleasant evenings with a view of the sea and the city. Nearby is the "KIM" megamarket, as well as a large number of restaurants. We spent six days and would return to this accommodation again. All praise for the accommodation/location, the hygiene maintenance lady and the friendly elderly receptionist. Overall 10/10
This has nothing to do with accommodation but watch out for small market: "PEKER" in vicinity. Literally nothing has a price tag and cashier is typing insanely high prices on his calculator when you approach to pay. No fiscal bill or any other type just random high numbers on cashier calculator. Use local mega markets "KIM" "BIM" or "101" for regular/reasonable prices.
The hostel is in the heat of Istanbul which makes tourism easier
The internet was not working very often or was really slow
It’s very close to the main spots of the city, enjoy the short walks from/to the hotel, and the staff was very friendly
There is nothing bad about it, just the rooms can be small if you plan to stay longer but still very very nice place definitely coming back
The hotel is in good and pretty quiet location very close to Sultanahmed tram, Blue Mosque and surrounding attractions. To reach Grand Bazaar by foot is also easy. There is pretty steep but short hill which has to be climbed all the time when going out, but that’s not problem at all. There are several restaurants close by if you are too tired to go somewhere else (although I wouldn’t really recommend them). All people working in the hotel are absolutely amazing. Despite of the fact that they don’t speak English or just little, all of them are so friendly and care about their costumers a lot. When I arrived I was given free Istanbul card to use, when I was short of cash for taxi, instead of telling me where is the closest ATM they lent me money. Every day I was offered tea and coffee. Room and bathroom were cleaned every single day in pretty high standard. There is basic amnesties in room so you can make yourself tea or coffe. Small fridge, hairdryer.Shower was really good and hot all the time.
If I would stay next time, I would ask about room in first or second floor as my one was on the too (4th floor) and as there is no lift it was quit annoying to run up when I forgot something.Only thing which I wasn’t happy about were another guests next to my room as first two nights guest were smoking in the room and I could smell that so badly. Also they were super loud until 3:30am. Next two nights new guests came with baby which was sleeping directly behind my head and crying a lot. Would be great if hotel will sort it out some isolation between rooms. Otherwise I suggest to take earplugs with you if you wants to have at least decent rest.
A comfortable and quiet hotel, and you can see a wonderful view of Sultanahmet
Its location is in an expensive tourist area and is 800 meters away from the tramway
The location of the hotel is great! Room was very nice as well as the owners!
It was so clean , comfortable and the view was incredible The owners were so nice and helpful
The host was really kind and supportive. He kept our bags before the check in and after the checkout. We had a tea on the house first day.
We had 2 rooms. Rooms were really small. There was no television in one of the rooms. We had a leak in one of the rooms. Toilet was making strange noise. We didn't have enough blankets in the room.
Location is incredible, near so many amazing restaurants, metro, and historical locations.
The bed was a bit firm but that’s all
Staff is polite, they welcomed me and my wife really nicely, location is great, room was comfortable enough, little fridge was available too, wifi worked without issues.Generally a nice hotel.
The room's floor has some weird angle, especially in the bathroom, it could be a little bit cleaner and they should start to change towels every day, not every 3 days. That's my biggest regret and advice.
Great location, all necessary facilities: kettle, mini fridge, air conditioner, hair dryer. Clean rooms, friendly staff who speak Russian, English. Not busy road under windows. A little terrace on the roof, where you can make your own tea.
No elevator but staff helped with luggage.
Location is perfect. In the middle of old town but still quiet for a good night sleep. Easy to reach from Kennedy Cad. street. They have free parking.
Room was small, alike all rooms hotels. But worth the money.
+ Daily cleaning of rooms.+ Terras view is amazing.+ Transparantion can be arranged by hotel.
- The hotel is located at a junction of main roads and restaurants, so forget sleeping at night because it is unbelievably busy with cars, trucks and buses till 3:00 am. Also you hear the people in the restaurants constantly.- Economy room means the basement and you don't want that room at all, not in the winter or the summer.- Check the bathroom before accepting the room. Some bathrooms smell bad.- The rooms are small in general with a small closet for 2 persons.
Room 110 has a perfect view on the Blue Mosque and the hotel has an excellent location if you want to be in the old city near Hagia Sophia. It's 5 min walk. The staff are friendly!
The bathroom could be improved a lot. And the ceiling of my room was low
I really liked the hotel and the service, as well as the quick confirmation of the reservation. The hotel has a very convenient location - very close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, which can be seen from the comfortable terrace of the hotel. The room is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I’m very grateful to Yusuf for the quick check-in at the hotel, as well as the fact that he is always in touch and answered all questions about the room. I asked for a room with two separate beds - and stayed in such a room. I highly recommend My Holiday Time Hotel!
