i liked mostly, it is location, it is in the middle of every where , the staff were friendly and helpful, but it was cheap so dont expect silver and gold.

the price was cheap compare to many so you get what you paid for.

Lighting is bad need to work on it

1. Location - very near to the Spice Bazar, Yeni Camii and public transportation.2. Nice staff.

1. As the building is very old, it has a sewer smell and the bathroom is not that clean. Also, needs to be ventilated.

Location is perfect to explore Eminönü, which is a really nice quarter!Breakfast was ok.

Unfortunately the room wasnt that clean and our toilet (first room) was broken (water was just coming out of the wall after flushing). Our room was changed, but there were stains on the bedsheets. Also everything is a bit worn out.

For the price you pay it’s very good nice staff very ideal location close to famous landmarks and nice breakfast included

The location was fantasic. Very close to Suleymaniye Mosque. Also very close to mutliple different bus stops to get around town easily. Many restaurants and shopping options close by. The staff were very friendly.

We booked a triple room but got a double, the triple was not available for 2 of the 3 nights. There was no mattress pad/covering, just a flat sheet ontop of the mattress and a blanket. Window coverings didn't totally close. Trash can was rusting, the bathroom shelf was broken. Linen at breakfast had holes in them and we were served instant coffee.

We had a very nice stay at Old City Family Hotel. We were there for one week and felt like home. Clean, kind staff and generous breakfast every morning.

The street can be noisy because of the cars and renovation.

Location was perfect, crew as well, especially Ismayil bey was very helpful.

Stayed 3 nites in old city hotel. Staff were nice and sometimes quiet. Very good breakfast on top floor in morning. Wifi was good. I was in small room downstairs. Very small room. Bathroom was good size. Towels clean.

Fridge didn't work. Staff tried to tune in tv but didn't work. Bed and pillows weren't that comfortable. Double bed which you had to enter from the bottom of bed as no room on either side of bed. As I mentioned it was small room. I'm sure pictures on booking.com showed bigger room.

This hotel's biggest strengths are undeniable: location, receptionists, and housekeeping.Location: Right in the heart of things! It was fantastic being so close to Eminönü . No need for taxis or long walks to get to the main sights.Reception: The staff at the front desk (Fatih and Ismail)were absolutely wonderful. Friendly, helpful, and always went the extra mile to answer questions and make recommendations.Housekeeping: The room was spotless every day, and the housekeeping staff were very efficient and courteous.

Bathroom: The bathroom was very small. It wasn't a huge issue for a short stay, but anyone who needs a bit more space might find it cramped.Breakfast: While the breakfast was good, the options became a bit repetitive after a few days. More variety, especially for those staying longer, would be a big improvement.

The location is great, and everything is accessible. Misir carsisi and the suleymaniye mosque are within 300 meters or so. The stations for tram, metro, and ferry are all within 10 minutes' walk. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Location was good, close to all attractions. Room size was really good.

The staff was unable to speak and understand the English very well, otherwise they were very nice and cooperative.

The location ess food bit it was to much noise and voice from outside. We could not sleep. The breakfast was ok but the table was dirty not clean.

The shower was to bad it was not possible to use it. The toilet was also very bad , room wan not clean. We should many time contact to the people who works there and give massage . Totally it was very very bad. We don’t recommend this hotel. We get massage from workers that owner don’t care about all. I heard some people leave the hotel from the first night and moved to other hotel. The hotel smell very bad. Will never ever back to this hotel.

The staff is friendly and the location is amazing.

If I need to be picky, the only thing I didn't like was the lack of water for breakfast.

I love cats and they had a cat which was really friendly and the location of the hotel was really good and we had a beautiful view of the bridge on the third floor where we were having breakfast

The sheets were smelling like softener a bit too much

It was almost perfectBreakfast can be more variat but everything else was okStaff was very nice and helpfullI need to mention Omar and a young men in the night shift that spoked a perfect english which usually you cant find it easy in IstanbulThe lady in caretaking(cleaning/breakfast) was also very nice trying to do the best with what she had at her disposalRoom was smal,l but enough for a single roomWarm enough with the AC workingLocation its very close to everything and in one the most crowded areas of Istanbul but because its not in the main boulevard the noise from the streets/clubs was not a problemI will always think at this hotel as a very good option for staying in IstanbulI dont want to forget the rest of the staff but i dont remember their names(sorry)The lady in reception at check-out was also very nice even If she did not spoke english at all she tried her bestAlso another guy who was at the check-in at the reception in the beggining was very helpfull

Breakfast not very varied,but ok

Nıce hotel wıth very good iocatıon between gramda bazar and galata brıdge. Rooms are small but clean and ebe personal ıs helpful.

Breakfast was nice, a small plate of cheeses, ham, egg, olives n additional plate with bread and sweet pastries. Receptionist helped with everything I asked.

Toilet was a bit smelly, but I realized this is a problem with Istanbul sewage system, not hotel.
