The location was great and the staff were very nice

There was a construction site near the hotel, and it was very noisy during the night. Plus, the room was clean, but there was some trash under the bed.

Location, location, location! You walk out your door and you’re in the exact right place for restaurants, shopping, transportation, waterfront. It’s perfect and very authentic. Turkish decor, nice people at the desk. A very nice stay overall.

UNFORTUNATELY the wrong review has been previously given to this hotel by me,we had a wonderful stay here would stay again ,loved the position and the roof access gave us a great view of the harbour,breakfast was great and staff were friendly and very helpful.

Location was great with lots of restaurants and public transportation nearby. Breakfast was good and hotel was very clean. Room was nice and bead comfortable.

The breakfast was poor and terrible. The building is old and in need of renovation. Although the building is in the center of the historic part, it is too close to the mosque and can be a bit inconvenient for those who like to sleep in the morning. When I booked this hotel, its rating on Booking.com was 9.2, although in reality a 7 point would be more appropriate.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the location is perfect for walking around the most touristic spots.

There were some uncomfortable details, for example: noise came in through the balcony door because it wasn’t sealed. In the bathroom there was no place to put your personal items. There were also some cleanliness issues, for instance, in the bathroom there was a toothbrush glass that was dirty, one of the sheets was torn, and at times there were very bad odors both in the restaurant and in the lobby. The elevator panel had adhesive tape on it, and one of the rooms we stayed in had a very uncomfortable bathroom where not even two people could fit. It was also difficult for drivers to reach the hotel (the location was a bit confusing for them). Overall, there were details that made the stay uncomfortable.

The location was the best part. It’s near everything needed. The breakfast had a lot of items. The food was delicious. The room cleaning was great as well.

The shocking part was on August, 31st at 8:46 in the morning when I saw a guy getting our drinkable water from the kitchen with a dirty extension. From that day I stopped drinking their water, coffee, everything related to their water. This action is unacceptable. Please, don’t drink the water from there unless it’s a close water bottle. Make sure it’s closed. Also, the AC was off. Every time I want the AC on, I had to go downstairs to the reception to ask them to turn it on. This is August, and it was hot. Therefore, I think the AC should be on except when someone leave the room.

The location is a good location. Just there around the corner of Serkeci tram station and Marmaray station. The receptionist is very professional and helpful. The hotel is clean. My stay was great. Thank you!

Excellent staff treats you like royalty. Very kind and helpful. Perfect location nothing around closes until 3 am. Very good value if found at leas than $100 a night

Room is a little small with bathroom not having any counter space. AC is good but controlled from the front desk (woke up a couple of times due to room being warm and had to call front desk to turn AC back on). Breakfast not very tasty

The prime location of the property almost near to everything. The staff were very helpful and always checking that everything was fine specially Shady who made it easy for us to enjoy a wonderful stay

We had a great stay because of Shady, the first room we were located was small and noisy and he went above and beyond to get us in a better room altogether. He was extremely professional and kind and fun to be around. A+ for him arranging us a taxi and Abdullah following through with the reservation. The guys were very kind and knew what our needs and wishes were. We felt understood and treated very well.

The property is located in a middle of a main area with tons of things going around, it can get loud from the outside, make sure you get a room that’s located away from the noise. The hosts would help you navigate changing rooms if you wish.

The rooms were very clean and had a beautiful sea view. There’s also a free terrace with a stunning sea view. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The staff — Aisha, Muhammed, Shadi, and Abdullah — were incredibly kind and helpful. We also received a free complimentary upgrade, which made our stay even better.

Nothing — everything was perfect!

Everything, literally every single thing was perfect from the warm welcoming from Abdullah who was really really helpful and accommodated all of our needs. He’s a true asset to the hotel. Soner the receptionist was also very friendly. The breakfast was unique and lots of varieties, the room was spacious and the price was reasonable. Moreover, the location is ideal, being steps away from the metro, tram stations and most tourist attractions were excellent. Rooms were cleaned daily. I can confidently say that this is the best hotel we've stayed in in Sirkeci.

We made 2 reservations, the first is April 5-6 and second April 6-10. And it ends up to be a nightmare.When we arrived April 5, we found that there was no power and no hot water in the room. We asked the front desk and they told us something is wrong and they are fixing. (Note that they didn't tell me there is no power or hot water when I was checking in). Shortly after, they said they can move us to another nearby hotel (Best Town Hotel) for one night stay and then move back tomorrow. We had no choice. We moved to the nearby hotel, which is very dirty and low level. But since it's just one night. That's fine. And later in the night, we asked them again if the power and hot water issue is fixed or not. They said it's fixed.Next day April 6, when we went back and tried to check in, we found that there was still no hot water. (Note that they still didn't tell me that there's still no hot water). We asked how long they can fix it. They said one hour. After one hour, it was not fixed. We asked for their manager. They said one hour. After one hour, a guy came. After talking with him, we found that guy is not manager at all and he didn't provide any help but just saying "one hour". Then we asked for the hotel owner. They said one hour. Later, they said the owner was not available because it's Sunday.We had no choice but refused to check in. We asked for full refund. They said the money we paid was still with Booking and we need to ask Booking for refund. We called Booking and Booking said the money was already with the hotel and Booking cannot refund us unless the hotel agrees. Booking tried to contact the hotel for many times but the hotel said they didn't receive any messages. Obviously, the hotel is lying all the time. We even called the police and all the staffs in the hotel don't care.In the end, we had to find another hotel by ourselves on the street. The whole thing is a true nightmare to me.

Location is perfect! Right in the heart of the historical area with mosque, bazaar and Haga Sofia in walking distance. We had a two bedroom suite with a balcony with a view. Everything was cery clean. Beds are really comfortable. The bathroom is quite small, but for 4 days it was manageable. The personnel, especially the daily front desk clerk is very helpful. Breakfast is your typical Turkish buffet with plenty to choose from. I definitely recomend this hotel for quality/price.

I have to say that Istasyon Hotel was the best choice for our trip to Istanbul. Mine was the third time to Istanbul, but I have to say that is the best location so far. All was very good: location, the rooms so big, cleanliness, friendly staff, very close to the public transportation (train, ferry and tram). Very close to so many attractions. Special thanks to the Reception Manager who responded positive to our request to do an early check in (around 8 a.m) so we could rest for 2 hours. We will definitely come back.
