Pros +
- The hotel is well located. The room is large as described.
- We only booked for one night. When we arrived, we extended our stay for three more days because it would have been pointless to stay at another hotel. We liked it here.
- breakfast was good. We liked the cleanliness. We appreciated that there was a hairdryer in the room
Cons -
- The hotel is very old. The pictures shown on booking no longer match reality, they are pictures taken many years ago when it was probably renovated, now it is very shabby. Dirt under the beds, only dust and garbage. The breakfast has nothing to do with what you might expect, in Turkey it was the worst breakfast (if we can call it that). I do not recommend.
- The property was older and smaller than it appeared in the photos, but it was such a great value that we didn’t really mind. Also, for some reason our shower wasn’t getting hot water, but I was too jet lagged to bother with contacting the front desk, and I’m confident that they would have offered a solution if I had.
- Nothing relevant to report.

We would like to thank the entire front desk team, especially Mr. Ismail, and Ms. Gül who cleaned our room
We came by car and parked in the parking lot next to the hotel, paying the daily fee. We liked this serviceWe weren't charged more than the price listed on booking.com for parking
lighting worked well for both relaxing and reading. Staff offered quick assistance without overstepping
The décor is elegant and modern, with cute lamps and unique artwork.
Fresh fruit, eggs, and pastries every morning — such a great start to the day.
It felt nice to come back to such a quiet place after a busy day out. The bed was soft, and the air conditioning was just right.
The hotel was great for a quick family vacation. The rooms were comfortable, and the kids loved the calm surroundings.
The location of the property was ideal for walking to restaurants and other tourist attractions or taking advantage of public transportation. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good with several different options. The staff was helpful in answering questions.

They even provided slippers, bottled water, and a Turkish delight on arrival. Lovely touch!
Eating on the terrace while looking at the old city skyline was unforgettable.
The room was spotless and smelled fresh. Housekeeping did an amazing job every day.
I loved the Turkish breakfast spread! Fresh cheese, olives, and simit every morning.
Nice central location. Staff was very helpful in arranging airport transfer at reasonable price.

The location was perfect — just a short walk from Sultanahmet and Ayasofya. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. The breakfast was always fresh, tasty, and beautifully served every morning. You will not regret if u booked here.
The location and staff
We found alot of thick dust throughout the room, Easter candy behind nightstand (October visit). No soap in bathroom and shower head broken
Only two positive points — everything else felt deceiving. The young men at reception were genuinely kind, friendly, and tried to help whenever we asked. Their attitude was the only comforting part of this stay. The hotel is also within walking distance from Sultanahmet and the main historical sights, which made sightseeing easier.Unfortunately, those two points were overshadowed by how misleading, uncomfortable, and poorly maintained the property was overall.
Almost everything else. The facilities were a joke — dirty, broken, or missing. My mom’s bed base was completely broken underneath (we discovered a huge hole beneath the mattress), and the light bulb on my side of the bed was missing. There was a kettle but no cups or tea. The breakfast was cold, and the lobby was small, dark, and uninviting — nothing like the photos online.Even the areas that look “renovated” in the pictures felt superficial and low quality in person. The bathroom, for example, has modern tiles in the photos, but in reality, it’s badly finished: the metal around the shower is corroded, there’s grime in the corners, chipped tiles, and a broken showerhead that can’t stay in place. The mini fridge was visibly dirty inside, and the overall furniture looked patched together and neglected. Around the floor edges and door frames, the paint is peeling and cracked. The door has a large gap at the bottom, so all the hallway light and elevator noise come straight in. The so-called “balcony view” faces deteriorated buildings, trash bins, and fake plastic flowers.Although Booking lists the location as “good,” the area is extremely hilly and not easily accessible — especially for older guests like my 78-year-old mom. We struggled every day to go up and down the steep street. It’s not something you would expect from a hotel advertised as centrally located and suitable for all travelers. We both felt uncomfortable during our stay. The first night we couldn’t sleep well because of the early call to prayer echoing through the thin walls, and while they did change our room later, it was only slightly better. For what we paid — especially as Genius members who expect a certain standard of quality — this experience was far below expectations. It honestly damages the image of Booking’s Genius program because discounts are meant to reward loyalty with trusted options, not misleading ones like this.
The hotel was well-kept and tidy. The reception team was both efficient and friendly.
