The room smell sewage gas and they didn?t accept to change our room. We couldn?t sleep for all of our stay because of bad smell

Room Door Lock didnt work with key card the first night and had to be operated with a key. Toilet seat was broken completely. Telephone in the room not working for entire stay despite someone coming to repair it. Toiletries provided in room sub-standard. Requested for Tooth Kit and the staff said it was finished in hotel so can't provide. At check out, requested for a Taxi to airport which hotel arranged. The Taxi was in bad shape and broke down mid way to airport - it was terrible and thank god we were saved as the brake pads fell off the taxi whilst in motion. This could have been catastrophic if the driver was at high speed or unable to control & bring the vehicle to a halt. As a courtesy the hotel should have checked the vehicle before getting their guests in the vehicle. Just shows lack of concern.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE A DISASTER, go to this hotel. I booked it under the name “The Elysium Styles Taksim”, but when I arrived, I discovered the real name of the building is Sağlık-Sen Otel. After I found out, I searched for Sağlık-Sen Otel on Google — and the reviews were terrible! It became clear that they are using the name “The Elysium Styles Taksim” only on Booking.com to mislead guests and make it look like a different, better-rated place.The location was awful and felt unsafe. The area was surrounded by car garages, broken buildings, and piles of construction materials, and it was scary to walk around, especially at night. The hotel sits on a very steep hill, making it extremely uncomfortable to walk to Taksim. Absolutely nothing about the area matched the photos or description online.The room was dirty and badly maintained — the shower had hair and mold, the fridge was rusty and filthy, and the floor and furniture were damaged. The bed was uncomfortable, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable.The staff spoke very little English, and they were angry, rude, and completely unsupportive when we asked for help. They made the experience even more unpleasant.For the price we paid, the value was terrible. Everything about this stay was stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing.In summary: this hotel is misleadingly advertised, located in a dirty and unsafe area, and managed by unfriendly staff. I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

The room was spacious. The balcony was amazing.

There was no sign on the hotel with this name! The name of the hotel was changed and we were not informed. The location was in a place with high slope, making it hard to reach.

What a fabulous hotel and with excellent views over the neighborhood along with proximity to the popular Taksim square and Istiklal street!!! And beautiful decor that I loved!!!

I was attended by Mubarek and the experience was so good, the room was cleaner with a nice view

Staff is Great and the Room are big and CLean

There is a nightclub nearby the hotel open 7 days a week, the sound is horrible i had no rest and the location is bad its up a hill for the price i was shocked because of the bad location. its not my first time in Istanbul i satyed at cheaper hotels that had better location and much cheaper.

The rooms were spacious and neat

I felt the hallways had a bad stench and there were a lot of scratches to the doors and walls which looked like it was not being maintained. Breakfast options were lower than other hotels.

Close to Taksim Square. Walking distance 10-12 min. Our room was very nice and clean.

Upon arrival, my room reeked of sewage, and the bed was damp and musty. I couldn’t find anyone at reception to change rooms, so I slept on top of the duvet in my clothes. I asked for my sheets to be changed the next morning but the sewage smell persisted throughout my stay, and I later discovered raw sewage streaming down the wall outside my window. Combined with the view of a dump, it almost made sense.Getting to Taksim Square from this hotel is a nightmare—uphill on a busy road with terrible pavement. The hotel’s location is good, but the actual spot is awful. The hotel itself is old and poorly maintained: mouldy bathrooms, jammed doors, broken switches, flat pillows, and stale mattresses. Definitely not four-star quality.Breakfast is a hassle; if you want anything beyond bread and sausages you have to hunt down staff to get some eggs. One day, no water bottles were placed in my room. When I asked for some, I was charged ₺88 for what usually costs ₺10 in Istanbul.My stay at The Elysium Styles Taksim was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The location might be convenient, but the poor maintenance, unhelpful staff, and unsanitary conditions make it a place to avoid.

I would like to write about my experience staying in a hotel. Firstly, all of the staff were incredible, polite, helpful, and kind.Secondly, there were two receptionists, Mohammad and Mubarak. Both of them are excellent and can assist you with any issues you may have.I would like to thank both of them for their assistance.Pros: * Clean* Quiet place* Breakfast was normal but all the items were fresh, especially the soup, which is a different type every morning that I enjoy it. * Buy Tourist Sim from Hotel is the best option.* Use ( inDrive App ) for affordable price BUT be careful some drivers are scamming you means that in a way they ask you to pay more. Before you take taxi ask them about payment. * 15 minutes to Square Taksim.* 10 minutes to Doviz exchange ( only change in Doviz because is more accurate than other places ). * If you enjoy massage, spa treatments, and hammam. There are pictures that can be booked in person and are the best and cheapest for both men and women.

Cons:- Do not take any packages from Hotel. - Do not take cruise ship packages from Hotel. - Do not book Hammum package from Hotel because it is super expensive but if you do it by yourself being cheaper.

Comfortable location, clean room. All hotel staff and concierge Mubarek were attentive and helpful.

A beautiful stay and my favorite place. The last five trips were all my stays there. Thank you to Mr. Mubarak, thank you very much. He is respectful, well-mannered, and takes the initiative to help and give advice. Thank you again.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were amazing—very polite and always ready to help. The furniture was new, and the rooms were big with a beautiful, modern design. The cleaning was excellent, and the room was cleaned every day.I especially want to thank Maharet (probably made a mistake in the name), who was very helpful during my stay. They made our experience even better. I highly recommend this hotel!

The only downside was a bad smell in the corridor, possibly from the cleaning products. But overall, I still highly recommend this hotel!

The most valuable thing is the staff especially Mubarak in the reception and Agus in the restaurant .. amazing hospitality from the staff there… the hotel was very clean and comfortable… if I want to book again in Taksim, Elysium styles will be my booked hotel.. thanks for all the staff

The room is great, especially the staff, they are very helpful in the morning and evening shifts and the receptionists Sayed Mohamed and Zuhair

Its is a walking distance from the main Istiklal street (Midan) , yet not noisy and very calm allowing quiet sleep unlike other hotels in the street.Fresh pastries are baked daily in the dinning area.

The road at the entrance is steep but if you take teh back road or cross to the other side then you can reach Istiklal main street faster and easier, wish I knew that before my last day there. Locals don't seem to know the best shortcuts
