Leyenda Hotel

I was offered a choice: a room full of steam, the water was gushing from the bathroom ceiling with a puddle on the floor and a basement room without windows, at the full price of a delux room. No concessions offered. I did not stay in that hotel and left.

At the hotel, I liked the balconies in the rooms the most. The view from the window in the dining room where we had breakfast. And proximity to the sights of Istanbul. We only had breakfast there, it was enough for breakfast.

We lived on the 4th floor. We used the elevator, a little small, more than 3 people do not fit in it. I was with the kids, and one child was climbing the stairs all the time. Otherwise, there are no comments.

Excellent location. Great staff, great breakfast.

Rooms could use some small repairs. Also some mold visible under clear silicone sealer in tile joints. Also mold stains on tile grout in bathrooms. Some funky drainage odors on lower floors; fairly common in this neighborhood.

Staff dealing in a very bad way & they didn’t give us our agreed room (deluxe double room) as we already paid for it & they give us a basement room & after a lot of fake promises they give us another room which is not like what we paid for it

Very unpleasant experience with staff. Breakfast was ok though but nothing special.

After we came at the hotel and pay for our stay we were told there there is no available room for us. We are transferred to hotel across to this one in a small room without normal window and with very loud pipes in a bathroom. Room was twice smaller than one with balcony we paid for. After we expressed dissatisfaction we were transferred to third hotel while we were carrying our luggage while outside was raining. Also staff didn’t want to give us money back so we were forced to move around. Tomorrow we were transferred to hotel we originally booked and we were given room for 3 although we paid for 2 of us. After couple of days we were asked to transfer again in a room for 2. Very unpleasant experience.

the hotel is more degraded than I expected. Every room has technical problems. There are water leaks in the bathroom, and the wardrobe in the room is very small. In some rooms, the air conditioning does not work, or the TV does not work, or there is no refrigerator.The hotel needs improvements FAST, otherwise it is not worth the money.Disappointing breakfast, there are broken dishes and too few cups.It remains only an unpretentious transit hotel.at the time of the stay, 2 of the 4 rooms were not available.

The breakfast was okay, nothing special, the breakfast staff were friendly. Best thing about this hotel is the location.

the entrance door to the room was crooked, as well as the door to the toilet that could not be closed. The shower door lets out the shower water. The sheets are not cleaned regularly, the room is poorly lit. We made the reservation through Booking.com, but they only take a commission (to check if you have money in your account), you have to pay the rest in cash, at our insistence that we pay by card at the reception, the staff says that the device is not working (probably a lie, because even when we were leaving after a few days, they did not want to charge the card to others under the same pretext).

The receptionist called Eren was very helpful and friendly. He gave us a better room then we chose on booking. The breakfast had a good variety of food to choose from. The rooms were spacious, the beds were clean a very comfortable, the rooms had an A/C that could go up to 30°C.

It stinks, has a very strange smell.there was food In between the fork spaces at breakfast, that was so gross. The shower drips water all the time, there is dirt in the bathroom floor and sink. One room key opens every other room door so not sure how safe that is.the duvet didn’t have a cover.the bed throw had stains on it.

Rooms are very small. Internet was not working and the receptionist used the situation to try pushing heavily overpriced local SIM cards for 35€, while in a store they cost around 15-20 depending on operator.

We really enjoyed our interaction with the respectable receptionist, Eren. His friendly and humorous nature instantly put us at ease. He even kindly offered us tea and allowed us to use the printer for our boarding passes. Such a welcoming attitude truly enhances the overall experience.

This was our 6th stay at Leyanda Hotel since 2016, and we were disappointed with our experience in 2023. We noticed several areas where the hotel has regressed. First and foremost, the increased pricing didn't align with the value we received. Unfortunately, there were no perks or discounts offered for loyal customers, which was quite disheartening. The behaviour of the other receptionists during our stay was a stark contrast to Eren and our previous visits. They were rude, lacked basic manners, and seemed unwilling to assist with any of our requests. When we requested an extension of our stay at a discounted rate, we were quoted a higher price than what was available on booking.com.One of the major letdowns was the breakfast. In previous years, it was a delightful spread with a wide variety of options. However, this time, it was notably limited, with an excessive focus on cheese and salad. While cheese can be enjoyable, we missed the variety of fruits, cakes, and hot items that were once offered. The use of large bowls instead of packaged jams and chocolate spreads made things messy and less appealing. Chipped tea cups were not expected, and the tea itself left much to be desired. It tasted like hot water and was clearly not brewed properly. Even the tea facilities in the room were lacking, with small disposable cups, unlike the proper tea cups found in most boutique hotels.Maintenance issues were prevalent throughout our room. One of the bedside lamps was missing. Additionally, a cupboard handle was also missing and it took a complaint to have one replaced. The bedside table had a broken glass, and a sharp edge posed a safety hazard. Finally, the shower gutter had a drainage problem, which resulted in water pooling during showers.It's our hope that these issues can be addressed to bring Leyanda Hotel back to the high standards we had experienced on our previous visits

The Hotel was in a great location close to all the sites. It was also close to public transport

Breakfast was poor, the breakfast room isn’t as in pictures. The Tv didn’t work, the curtains fell down and although we told them they didn’t fix them. It’s tired and not very clean.

I'm very disappointed, honestly

It was difficult to find, I booked and was offered for a few more dollars and when got to the hotel, they gave me a different price and claimed that it was not possible to have the family room for that price; the asked me to use my phone to verify if it was true, that was very offensive. The hotel and the rooms are outdated, and to have breakfast, the lift drops you in the kitchen and is uncomfortable. We ended up leaving very early and in front of other guests, the asked me for the phone again to double check that our reservation was not a capture or photoshop but actually the booking app. I had to give my phone in hands of the employees not just one time. Definitely is not what a customer expects; actually a good customer service makes one comfortable even in the worst place but this in particular, is one of the worst customer service I ever had, not to mention all of this happened being my wife and kids with me.

Great location: sightseeings are within walking distance, plenty of cafes and shops, close to tram station! Staff is polite and friendly, special thanks to the receptionist Baran who was very much helpful to any questions and requests! Room is clean and cozy, overall staisfied with breakfast, good quality for a good price!

Everything was very clean, the rooms were new and beautiful. the staff was very good and the location was 5 minutes from all famous locations, also the metro station is close.
