Pros +
- The location was convenient and overall a good spot for what I needed. The kindness of the staff really stood out — everyone I interacted with was phenomenal and very trustworthy. The room was cleaned daily by request and kept tidy throughout my stay. The only downside was the front desk experience, which was more 50/50. He didn’t really go the extra mile or ask if I needed any help, unlike the rest of the staff who were great. I also unknowingly lost a $50 bouquet that was in a black bag and must have been mistaken for trash. I didn’t contact the property about it since I knew it wouldn’t be found or reimbursed, but otherwise the stay was smooth and positive.
- Great location - easily walkable to a lot of the major sites including the ferry port, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern. Also very close to Tram line.
- Great breakfast, amazing location, perfect staff
Cons -
- What I didn’t like was that the room barely had any light in it and the AC didn’t seem to work or turn on — it felt like it was locked, so the room would get warm, especially since it’s small and has a bathroom. My biggest pet peeve was that the electricity shut off as soon as the hotel card was removed, and with only two outlets in the room it made it impossible to charge anything (like a laptop) while away. The front desk man spoke limited English, but not terribly. When I asked how to get around, he didn’t offer much help or guidance. I also asked if he could arrange a big van to take us to our next hotel and he flat-out said no and didn’t help at all, which was disappointing and honestly made me feel even more relieved that I decided to leave.I tried to extend my stay for just 3 nights and was quoted $555 when I originally paid $600 for 6 nights. He was pretty rude about it and the pricing just felt unfair, so I moved hotels and was happier there. A few hours later the assistant manager reached out to negotiate a better price, but I already booked elsewhere. It really felt like the secretary/front desk was trying to take advantage of us.
- The room was small, but everything else about the property was great. Comfortable bed, small but great shower, quiet, great breakfast and wonderfully helpful staff.
- The rooms are quite small, but very comfortable - as long as you’re not hoping to do a little yoga and stretch out on the floor.

Great breakfast, amazing location, perfect staff
We love the location. It’s very easy access to all of the old city sites and a quick boat ride or even walk over to the Galata tower area.
The rooms are quite small, but very comfortable - as long as you’re not hoping to do a little yoga and stretch out on the floor.
The view was of galata tower, the location was perfect, the room was very comfortable and pretty.The. Bed, pillows and linens are very comfortable which is very important.I would stay again.
Location, delicious breakfast,people friendly
Room a little small
Good central location close to the railway station but no noise. Window looking on to the Bosphorous and Galata tower.Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.Friendly staff, particularly Yamour was always hard at work, welcoming with a smile on her face.
Compact rooms.Temperature could not be regulated, felt warm occasionally.
All staff were very helpful, polite, and professional. Specially the lady (I dont know her name). Comfortable beds, clean, great breakfast, great location.
Had a situation with their A/C, but Booking.com came to the rescue. I am a 100% fan of Booking.com now. Owner/General Manager needs to build social skills or not be seen.
Location was great. Staff was wonderful. Great breakfast. Beautiful view of the Bosphorus from our room!!
Room was very small. No bar, restaurant or pool and not much of a lobby.
Staff and location
Rooms are small and a bit of wear and tear
Location, clean.
AC not working last day during breakfast and also in the room. With a small kid, our start of the day was with my daughter complaining about the temperature during breakfast, do we went to the bedroom hoping for the AC and it was also not working.
Location is great.Breakfast was nice. Neat room.
That gorgeous terrace from the opening picture is not available to all guests. The reason why I booked this particular hotel amongst others - picture of it's huge terrace with Bosphorus view. To this day it is the opening picture of this hotel on Booking.com. To my huge surprise and disappointment, this terrace was not a common area. It is only available to the guests who booked a room with a balcony or so (I had a standard room).Had I realized that, I would booked that different room or wouldn't book this property at all. ?♀️
Excellent breakfast buffet. friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to major sights
The location can’t be beat. The staff was so welcoming and flexible. I arrived early be a use my flight got it early. It they checked me in. The room was small but great for one person and had everything, even a tooth brush!
The property was in a great location. Clean modern rooms and the service was awesome. When we checked in we were given great recommendations! They gave us a map and told us what to see. Gave us a suggestion to walk through a park to get to the sights and that was beautiful! Something we would have missed. They also suggested where to eat and made us reservations. Excellent food! The whole staff was extremely helpful with anything we wanted.
Amazing customer service, every single employee is extremely helpful and very professional. The room is really clean, the location is great.
Nothing much
Everything. The misleading images on the website have no bearing on the reality of the sad fluorescent lit room- especially as pertaining to sea view. The terrace shown on the site is for a single room and not accessible to anyone. The images of sea view rooms are nowhere the reality of what you get. The hotel verbally accepts they have misled on room view issue, at least for the particular room assigned and states "you are right" -but then remedies are not easily available. You are right on top of a train depot and train cars and trash and somewhere far away you see an inch of blue between buildings . After acceptance of the issue, getting them or booking to remedy this by releasing you is like pulling teeth and fraught with endless manipulations and unnecessary delays. None of the desk staff have any capabilities and all must wait for the aggressive angry abusive boy-manager to arrive to do anything. You are constantly lied to about the arrival of said manager- so you stay a single night with the promise of release at 8 am upon his arrival. Instead you are essentially hostage to the manager's schedule and whims as your day wastes. The manager instills roadblocks to release from the reservation and proudly and loudly announces that it is in his control and you are nothing -- and to gondeal wirh booking.com which you already have done- twice- but you are accused of not being on the phone with the booking.com agent despite repeated verbal confirmatuons--a shocking exchange that suggests absence of safety. This refusal to speak with the booking agent who called twice was despite a verbal agreement of the erroneous room description - an issue that they later admit happens repeatedly. You end up hostage for four hours due to serious vindictive anger issues of the highly misogynistic, incredibly rude kid. Kow-tow to him and you are ok.
location was perfect, walking distance to major attractions like Hagia Sofia and Toptaki palace. Lots of great restaurants in the area too.
The fact that the shop owners pester the life out of you; you can't even look at anything in a shop without being hounded to buy or come look at carpets,or try some tea. Let me look already!
All staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was not very good. Also, I would upgrade the room to view of the straights.
Breakfast.
Location is good, too bad about the construction going on in the area. But this is not the hotel problem. The hotel was ok, very clean, good food, the room big enough for us (family of three). The staff were great people. All together, if we return to Istanbul, we will return to this hotel but not by car.
The parking is not what I expected at all + more expensive than I wanted. The hotel does not have a parking lot, and the nearby parking is just an unpaved courtyard. The cars are parked really close to each other, and you have to leave your key to the parking guy to move your car when needed. The hotel told me that parking is available nearby, at a price of around 10eur/day. I arrived at the parking place but the price was 15/day + all of the above issues. The floor in the room was a little bit up, but clean. The water system from the bathroom was a bit noisy at night.
