Time Hotel Mecidiyeköy

I got the best for the price I have paid. The staff was welcoming and helped us with everything, starting by addressing our requests re hotel and ending with giving us directions to different places, best currency exchange points, where to eat and even were ready to book us a cruise with a good price. The room was comfortable, not big and not small, towels, shampoo and shower gel were available, free bar and 24/7 open working place with free tea and coffee.

It’s a personal preference, but the room was darker than I expected in the evenings, even with all lights on. For some it might be ok, but for me it was a reason to go down to work.

1. The personnel were exceptionally attentive and hospitable. They provided us with their utmost service, and I could not be more pleased with their warm reception.2. The accommodation was very comfortable and tidy, equipped with sufficient amenities.3. The restroom was thoroughly clean, featuring warm water and a bathtub for relaxation.4. The beds were entirely comfortable, allowing us to enjoy a restful night's sleep.5. The area was notably safe, with numerous restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets conveniently located nearby.6. Public transport options, including buses and subways, are readily accessible.7. On Sundays, a local market takes place in the alley adjacent to the hotel, which is bustling yet captivating and vibrant.

There is nothing significant to report. The hotel provided me with a pleasant experience, featuring all necessary amenities, a stunning location, and friendly staff.

I’ve stayed at this hotel four times already — that says it all. For me, it feels like home whenever I’m in Istanbul. The service is outstanding and the staff are always friendly and ready to help.

We only stay for one night, check-in process fast and effective, area easily approachable from center, metro station 15 mins walk away, several restaurants in the area, room clean and comfortable.Recommended

The breakfast was simple but satisfying. What I appreciated the most was the location — surrounded by cafés, great restaurants, and just a few meters from a taxi stand. Super convenient if you prefer not to use the metro.Tip: Get a SIM card so you can use AI tools like translation apps to communicate with taxi drivers in Turkish — it really makes things easier!

Location is great with many public transport connections. Breakfast was ok. They don't have parking for now, but said that soon there will be parking spaces available on the street. Clean and comfortable room, a bit small, but comfortable.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I will likely stay here a third time. The location is very convenient for getting to different parts of the city with great transportation links. There are many shops and food establishments nearby, as well as a large shopping mall. The staff is incredibly friendly and always happy to help if needed. My recommendation for improvement: it would be great if the breakfast menu changed at least once every three days or if something new was added. After staying for more than a week, I personally find it difficult to eat the same food every day. Other than that, everything was amazing.

Excellent location - bear the metro station where the airport trains terminate, and plenty of shops, cafes, malls etc within easy walking distance.

The room was a little tired in places, with some cigarette burns. But for the price paid, I thought it was very good value.

The location is good, the staff are very friendly. Price was ok.

1) I had a huge issue with the warm water in the shower. It was at first quite difficult to adjust, going from ice cold to scathing hot at the blink of an eye. The warm water had a much lower debit. Then, just as I had adjusted it and had shampoo and soap all over me, the hot water stopped completely. All there was was very very cold February- temperature water. I tried the handle in all directions for a few minutes and then tried to wash off the shampoo with cold water - my brain froze with the shock. My partner had to pour warm water from the water heater jug over my head to warm me up a bit.2) the room was very cold and it was winter, the A/C showed 15 degrees and you can‘t adjust it.3) the noise - the windows were letting through all kinds of sound, as did the walls. We were woken up by 6 am morning prayer! We head all sorts of traffic and next-door conversations.4) the bathroom door had a huge gaping and it’s transparent so there was no privacy whatsoever. 5) the room in general was in poor condition with holes in furniture and peeling wallpaper. 6) breakfast was ok but I expected more variety. There was no real coffee, just nescafe.

There are two perfect thing in this hotel: reception staff and location.

The staff having breakfast at the same time with guests little bit annoying. Very small rooms, water changes from warm to cold when having shower suddenly, broken beds, uncomfortable faucets really dissapointing. Will I book next time? No thanks!

Location was good. Staff at the reception and at breakfast place was very friendly. Especially I had good discussion with the person at the reception (sorry forgot his name) on last day before leaving from the hotel. They helped me to keep my luggage after the checkout for a while.

The location is good .. Deniz in reception helpful .. senim also resolved all problems.. the bell boy all stuff are friendly..

You don’t have access to AC and the management turn it off whenever they want. The lack of hot water when taking shower. Room no. 702 bathroom has no lock.

From what I have seen in other hotels from same price level around Istanbul, the breakfast could be much richer. However, it was good enough with eggs, three types of cheese and veggies.

Some of the facilities were looking quite old and not very well maintained.

Very comfy beds, fridge and TV worked well.

The wallpaper was pealing, there were water/spit stains in the bathroom and the skirting boards were off/resting in the walls. The air con was very poor & would turn off every half hour.

The breakfast was basic but good. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the variety of options available, such as plenty of cheese, cucumber, tomato, and lovely bread, which allowed me to make a nice sandwich. They also had jam, which was a nice touch. The location was perfect, with many restaurants around, a nearby taxi company, and two excellent cafes where you could sit and enjoy the day. Additionally, the attentive service from Dennis and Mohamed made my stay even more enjoyable.

While the breakfast was good, it could be improved by adding more variety, such as some hot vegetarian options or fresh fruit. Additionally, a few more beverage choices, like herbal teas or freshly squeezed juices, would be a nice enhancement.

I very liked the staff , breakfast was good also.

My shower head was not properly fixed at the wall , only a thin sheet for the bed. Some Lights furniture in the hallways was loose.

Great location, nice and friendly stuff, good breakfast. Excellent for the price.
