I like the personel. People are very nice and helpful. Internet has great speed.

First, the hygiene level is 0 : the rooms were cleaned solely and only upon request and it was poorly executed. During our ten days stay, only 4 time it was cleaned. The sheets were ripped and not all that clean.Second, they claimed the room was an upgrade they offered us : while we had -1 level room. The curtains were see-through. I asked for a change they said they will change our room, which they never did. The sheets were for single beds while we had a double bed.Third, the room it self was, dark. Very dark. The shower handle was broken and unusable. The lights were so dim it hurt my eyes. The problem was most in the restroom. I had to use my phone torch to use the toilet or to chrck myself in the mirror.And last but not least, the food in the morning was the same every day. I don't know why but everything is very very low quality : instant coffee, instant milk, one orange and one apple thinly sliced... Only the eggs made it work. Cheese was very salty, and the juice is very bad.

I really liked the staff. They were friendly and attentive, especially someone named Eger. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. I slept very well in my bed.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was very disappointing.First, the location is far from the city center. It is only close to Sultanahmet and Topkapi Palace, but the actual city center (Taksim) is far away. The nearest metro or tram station is about a 25-minute walk, and the walk itself is very tiring because the streets are steep and hilly.Second, the hostel staff’s attitude was extremely bad, except for Andre, who was the only helpful and respectful person. There was no proper cleaning of the beds, and several personal items went missing from my room, including my transportation card and the transparent leather cover of my travel bag. When I asked the staff about these missing items, they replied in a very rude and careless manner.In addition, my bed was an upper bunk, and the ladder was broken. I had to jump down every day just to get off the bed, which was unsafe and uncomfortable. When I asked to be moved to a lower bed, they said there was no availability, even though there was clearly an empty lower bed in the same room.Moreover, when I arrived, I paid by card and the amount was charged twice. The staff claimed that no payment had gone through, even though I received bank messages confirming that the money was deducted twice. They denied this completely despite me showing them the messages, and I was forced to pay in cash.Finally, the prices of food and drinks at the hostel are extremely expensive, especially considering that this is a hostel.Overall, due to poor management, unsafe conditions, bad service, and unprofessional behavior, I would not recommend staying at this hostel.

Property was good but at reservation desk they just cancel our booking and they were saying we will just give you new booking. But in the end they just give us excuse.

Best hostel I have ever stayed so far. The cleaning and the breakfast was impeccable. The manager with the mullet always went the extra miles for us. Many thanks to him and will definitely be back next time in istanbul!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave great recommendations and had good breakfast. Great view of the water from the balcony.

The music from the lounge was a little loud in the evening, but with the windows closed, we still slept well.

Cheers Lighthouse is so beautiful and fun! Very central safe location! Melek is amazing and a wonderful event planner!! She made every night full of joy ❤️ all the staff were so hospitable, and their cat Hunter was precious!

I was missing so much to Melek, she is the inspiration for many guests, even though the staff are very nice just need the passion of melek in it

It’s a great little hostel located very conveniently near the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The staff are also really friendly and helped me a lot throughout my stay which made me feel very welcome. The price is really affordable when considering the location, so I definitely recommend staying here!

Great location and the common area was also nice.

Only one bathroom for 6 people which means waiting a long time. It’d be nice to have extra showers and toilets in other areas. There was a toilet in the common area, but wasn’t nearly enough. Not especially social nor were there any events during my stay

I stayed at Cheers Lighthouse two times during my trips to Istanbul, and both experiences were great. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a short walk to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. It’s clean, cozy, and a nice place to relax after exploring the city.What I liked the most was the people. Mr. Ege and Ali is very welcoming and always makes you feel at home, and the staff are kind and helpful. They really care about the guests and do their best to make the stay comfortable. I will definitely come back again on my next visit to Istanbul

The room is very comfortable and the hostel holds many events, especially the boat party which is a wonderful experience. The hosts Elih and Ege are amazing, very helpful and lovely people.

There are 2 people working there called Ige and the other was working in breakfast time which were absolutely kind and hospitable and even beyond comprehension. thank you very much indeed for being kind and adorable. the view was nice and one night we had a free shisha which was good for communication. iron was good.

The room is located behind the blue mosque and in Sultanahmet district. good to visit some southern parts but not quite fine to reach for upper Istanbul. the pillow was not good, and the shower was restricted to use with a shower hose and the shower head was broke. no shampoos were found, and I had to borrow some from friends. The locker was so old, and its safety was not guaranteed. the breakfast was average.

I had an amazing stay at Cheers Lighthouse! The location is great, the vibe is welcoming, and everything was exactly as expected. Special thanks to Yousef — he was a huge help throughout my time here. From giving me great destination tips to suggesting places to visit, he really went above and beyond. Communication was always clear, and he’s just a genuinely nice guy who made my stay even better. Kaan was also super friendly and welcoming, which added to the great atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!
