The breakfast was a treat! I loved the combinations, and the food was always stocked and made to sure to be replenished. The atmosphere was very nice, not too loud or busy. The staff Veysol, and the other front staff were beyond approachable, and were able to make every request happen without a delay.They provided transport for me to the airport, and even upgraded it to a luxury vehicle for no price difference! They made sure to outline what exactly I should do in my short stay in Instanbul, and their recommendations were great.The room was great, they even showed me two different types of rooms to compare which one I would like better. I chose the room with the double, which has a bed, a couch, a table, and the basic amenities. Although the room wasn’t super luxurious, it is not what made the stay worth the money, it was the excellent service!

The beds could use a bit more work. I had no trouble sleeping, but the king size bed is two beds in one, so sometimes you would feel the separation of the two beds.The upper shower head should have been cleaned, and the bathroom would have been nice to have some small kits such as vanity, shaving, clean up, etc kits.

The staff were very friendly, the location was wonderful (walking distance to everything in the old town) and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The wifi wasn't working for the first two days of our trip - not the hotel's fault as it was an external problem which was then resolved, but did make coordinating with friends and trip planning more challenging.

Location was good but be aware: one-two block hill to walk up for sites if that's a problem for youThe restaurant with beautiful turkish chandelier across the street was great

The hard sell for tours...we were told to cancel our pre arranged tour and use his friend's when checking! in!Breakfast was really only average at best for sure

The Aprilis Gold Hotel was awesome. The entire staff made us feel so welcome and cared for. They were so helpful and arranging transportation to the airport, Hamam and massage experiences, as well as an evening dinner cruise with entertainment on the Bosporus. Hotel is within comfortable walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and so much historical sites.

There was nothing I did not like about this hotel.

Staff is very helpful! They also checked with us on where we were going, did we have tickets, did we need transportation, etc. And this wasn’t a sales pitch, they just wanted to be sure we had an enjoyable time in Istanbul. The rooms weee typical European sized rooms, clean and close to the elevator. Breakfast is not to be missed as it is a nice blend of typical fare as well as Turkish food.

Ask for a higher floor as street noise might be an issue for light sleepers

The hotel was old and smelled bad. Definitely, they need a renovation soon. The bed was horrible ? super bad, with a wood in the middle of the bed.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was a solid choice overall. The room was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and functional with everything I needed for a relaxing night. No surprises there, which is always a plus!The real highlight was the breakfast. It was super delicious and exceeded my expectations with a fantastic variety of fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and even some local specialties. The quality was top-notch, and it set a great tone for the day.I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a hassle-free stay.

That said, the tour packages and airport shuttle services are priced way too high—easily 30-50% more than what you'll find booking independently or through local operators. The hotel seems to add a margin, so I'd recommend bargaining hard or arranging these outside to save a bundle. It's a common tactic, but it does ding the overall value.Still, for the core stay, it's a reliable pick.

Location is right in the middle of old town. It´s just 5 minutes from Great Bazar and 10 minutes walk from Blue mosque. I would like to appreciate hotel service on front desk which was really helpful. As we had only couple of hours to make short sightseen at Istanbul. The advices were worth to make city tour as much efficient as possible. So really appreciate help from front desk. Room was clean and really nice with windows to main street. We used possibility of parking at location. Also breakfast included the room rate. No other services used during this short stay. Really thank you for great (but short in time) experience at Istanbul.

Proximity to the tram line. Everything was in walking distance. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Staffs were really friendly.

No big issue. Put more bath towels in the restroom. More soft and thick blanket is recommended. Thicker and softer mattress topper is recommended. Put more lights or more powerful bulbs- this one is a must.

The hotel itself looks really nice, great location with easy access to transportation and main amenities.The best of everything is the customer service provided by each and every one of the staff members.They go above and beyond with any request of the guests.For my group this is a 6 stars hotel and we are grateful with every staff member. Excelente hotel y lo mejor de todo es el personal, te hacen sentir como en tu casa. Totalmente recomendado.

Everything was good, no issues.

Very close to most activities, very friendly & helpful reception staff & crew especially Murat and Veysel at the reception or desk.

The street gets crowded from 8:00 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday.

Excellent location and price for the Old City. Perfect for first time explorers to Istanbul. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a good variety. The ladies in the breakfast room always had a smile and were kind.

The beds were much too firm for our liking. We were given the choice between a king size bed or two twin beds. We chose the king sized bed and were given two twin beds pushed together. The linens were quite scratchy. We requested an extra blanket one night and didn't receive it until 1 1/2 hours later AFTER I had to make another call to remind them to bring one to our room. After that call, we waited another 30 minutes and finally gave up and went to bed. 15 minutes after falling asleep, the front desk called and woke us up asking if we still needed a blanket! The next day when our room was cleaned the extra blanket was taken away and a new one not given. We were given two pillows without pillowcases. When this was addressed, it was immediately rectified by different front desk staff. We found two members of staff to be very polite, kind and accommodating (I wish I had taken their names) and the rest was just ok.

The property is very well maintained, the location is great! They have underground parking at the sister hotel next door. The customer service was top of the line, Alattin made our stay very special, and was there to help and answer questions and guide us to the best shops, attractions, public transportation and so on!

We liked everything!

Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a taxi mixup and they helped straighten it out. Breakfast was good but not great.

Beds were rather firm. Taxi could not access the hotel during the day so we had to walk a block away.

Location is great, easy access to public transportation and other market areas. Alaattin, smile and Murat was very helpful. They went above and beyond expectation when it comes to customer service.

The charging ports are very different, we had to get the converter from the reception, it would be nice for next time if they can ask the guest about what kind of charging ports they have that way they can provide converters upon check ins

The location of Aprilis Gold Hotel is right there close to the historical places for us to visit. Breakfast was fresh and prepared every single day with the best ingredients, and our room was cleaned with the all our toiletries needs ready.

Everything was nice and the staff were far and beyond to support our questions and needs.
