The location

Matress needs change. U can feel springs going through back which gave me backpainI found a cockroach waiting for me in the room. Rooms must be checked before checking in clientsI couldnt lock my door from inside, even i complained the guy at the reception tried to convince me that it is done like that on purpose, though my friend staying another room locked her door from inside. Which made me feel insecure the whole stay and i had to put my luggage behind the door so no one will enter. I think as a customer service rule , when the customer is not happy about the room, u must change itHotel neees renovation.

The location was excellent. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we love the location to all of the things we wanted to see. The restaurant down the street is excellent and my wife found a boutique carpet shop near by.

The stairs...no elevator. The breakfast could have included more fresh cooked options but it was nice. There was no options for late night coffee or tea.

Location is close to touristic areas and transportation.

The morning receptionist (not the manager, the other one) is super rude in his attitude. Doesn’t go at all with someone whose work is to actually deal with people all day long.Breakfast was decent but wasn’t up to the expectations nor the feedback I read on booking actually before reserving the hotel. Couple of times that we ask for refill of items and said that it finished. (1 hr after breakfast started)

Only the location is good, but the staff, service and cleanliness are horrible!

We made a mistake while booking, when we arrived they asked for 20€/ night in compensation. We agreed, but they decided to punish us for negotiating.I asked for a bigger room, I said I will pay for it! the reception said the manager should agree! It was available on booking but when he called the manager he told him to close it and don’t give it to us! Minutes later it was sold out on booking! I asked for the complementary water bottle as it was 2 am! He said no complementary water! Next morning I asked for face tissues, he said we don’t provide!They took the extra key that they gave during check-in from inside the room!! When I asked, they gave me an empty card! I told the receptionist why? He said I gave you empty card to put it for electricity!! When I told him that I need extra key for my family he snatched the card from my hand, screamed at my face! Slapped the card on the table after activating it!Completely rude and dirty place! No cleaning! Just collecting dust under the bed! Looking at previous negative reviews on google, they never acknowledge the facts and probably reply in the same rude manner.. let’s see!

Excellent location, great staff.They were awesome at the front desk and also during our morning breakfast.Great breakfast with an awesome variety. Wonder for value. I highly recommend it.

Friendly staff

The room was extremely small , the shower was no pressure and it was either sculding hot or freezing cold no in-between, very noisy location with the hostel next door was unable to adjust the aircon /heating to suit our needs the room was so hot and when we asked to turn the temperature down was told open the window

Lovely staff members and food! Made the trip 10/10 - one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The front desk were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. The hotel room was very clean as well.

Everything was perfect!

It was close to all major attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful when it came to advising where to go and how to get there. They booked us airport transfer and made sure we got there on time.

Zeynep Sultan Hotel is simply a perfect stay in Istanbul! Rooms are clean, spacious, with all needed amenities. It is literally a 3 min walk from Aya Sofia and most of major tourist attractions. The area is great, a lot of restaurants/bars around. The staff is SPECTACULAR! They booked our airport transfers, additional tours and generally we very helpful with tips how to get around the city. Also - great breakfast and a nice complimentary tea/coffee/cookie time in the afternoon on the terrace overlooking Aya Sofia and another historical mosque ? definitely will come back!

Location is excellent. Hagia Sophia is right outside your window, and Zeynep Sultan Mosque is in your yard.The room is clean. All appliances work well. The breakfast is very satisfactory and varied.Our room had an unusual view, but the view from the terrace was just special. It's very nice that from 5 pm to 7 pm the hotel has free tea time, and you can relax on the terrace with tea.Many thanks to the staff for their attention. Their advice was helpful.Highly recommend it.

Nothing, everything was great.

The staff from reception to breakfast room are all nice and friendly. Breakfast are exceptional and the whole hotel was clean. We are so closed to all tourist attractions

I have booked this place because i found it on the site that how close it is to the center mosque, basilica, the grand bazar...etc.. and the breakfast is also fantastic too. The room was clean and tidy. the Staff were very helpful and Polite.

the only annoying thing it was the person outside directing the car for carparking for the mosque it was so loud in one morning that he woke us up...this carpark men have nothing to do with the hotel it just happen that he was right there as our room window was facing the street.

Avoid at All CostsThis hotel was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We arranged an airport shuttle, which never showed up, leaving us stranded at 1 AM with no response from the hotel. Upon arrival, we were met with excuses and a tiny, claustrophobic room that barely fit our luggage.The real nightmare, however, was the next morning when the manager decided to publicly berate us in front of other guests, calling us liars and immature for wanting to leave after their incompetence. He even told us “shame on you”—as if we were the problem. We no longer felt safe staying there and left after just one night, losing our money in the process.Save yourself the stress. There are plenty of great hotels in Istanbul—this is not one of them.

- Location is two hundred steps from the historical centre, ie Hagia Sophia etc. - The staff is very friendly and they made their best to meet our every need- My nicer half and the family found the breakfast particularly good - it had omelette, sausages, very nice special hot pastry etc etc. I was a bit less impressed by soluble coffee machine.- very warm rooms keeping in mind that was December- convenient bed.

- The rooms are very small. That was not a huge problem as we were there only for the night sleep.- muezzin’s song was very loud in the morning, but what you can expect staying close to the main mosques?

Lovely small hotel in a good location in the tourist district.Stayed here for four days in December and it met our needs.Clean hotel with good shower.Breakfast was good (as it was included) albeit it did get a bit repetitive after four days.

Temperature in the room was a little high (this was in winter) which made getting to sleep a bit of a problem.Also, there must be a nightclub nearby as we could hear loud music up to about 11pm.We still did get a reasonable night’s sleep, but it’s a bit frustrating.

Location is great but that's about it.

There was no running water in the bathroom on the day of our arrival and nobody offered any discount or even bottled water to wash hands. That was appalling as after a long flight with a baby all you want is to have a shower and rest.The level of cleanliness is quite poor, there were hair from other people on the floor and half empty bottle of body cream from the previous guests.Breakfast didn't look fresh so we mostly ate bread and cheese (which had a hair on it one day) for a couple of days and after we just didn't bother to go at all. Plums were rotten inside. When I asked for the baby chair they brought it all wet and dirty (it was stored outside). They tried to charge my friend twice for the room even though she paid in full through the agency. Also I needed to chase them a lot to get my change for the airport transfer. The entrance is not accessible if you have a buggy - lots of small steps which makes it quite difficult.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Property was close to all main attractions. Buffet breakfast was average.

The room was very small for a triple room. Found it hard to walk around the room. Bathroom was very compact and small.

Loved the warm welcome we received even though it was late at night… everything here was absolutely perfect, excellent helpful staff with an excellent location…. Our first time to Istanbul.. feels like home… already planning our next visit ❤️??

The breakfast buffet covered a wide range of foods. All well cooked and presented. I stayed 2weeks and quality was consistent. Breakfast room has indoor and outdoor seating. With a very pleasant view.
