Meroddi Bağdatlıyan - 1892 Heritage Rooms by Galata Tower

At the front desk, Mehmet Kural was especially helpful He answered our questions, gave us directions, and provided quality service. Our stay was excellent because of him. We will stay at the Meroddi next time we are in Istanbul

The location is very good. A minute or two walk from Galata tower.

They had filled hair conditioner into a bottle that was labeled body lotion and body lotion into a bottle that was labeled hair conditioner and I learned that too late after I used body lotion on my hair! The house keeping was sad. There were only 1 cup for brushing teeth for 3 people and even that single one was not replaced for 3 days. They saw that it was dirty, but just kept it there. There’s no place in bathroom to hang towels. You’d have to lay them down by the sink. How hard is it to install a couple hooks on the walls? But the worst thing about this hotel is the breakfast area, which is not in the same building as the rooms. You need to leave your building and go to the nearby alley to get breakfast. The breakfast is served inside a tiny, narrow, low ceiling claustrophobic hallway area with just a few tables and chances are you won’t find a free table right away and have to wait for one. My daughter likes pancakes for breakfast and their pancakes were rubbery and tough to chew on and strawberries were almost all black and moldy.

The hotel staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent, with easy access to major tourist attractions as well as plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and everything was fresh and delicious.

Not related to hotel but something to keep in mind; the surrounding area is very steep and not convenient for navigating with a stroller.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Bed was comfortable and clean. The little gift of nuts and sweets was lovely, well received. I also like that you give the opportunity to write free text with suggestions. Thank you.

The floor of the room was very dirty, making my feet black - disgusting; and no slippers were offered. The shower was cold, no hot water even after running 10 min. The sink tap was almost impossible to open.

I arrived a day earlier than expected due to last minute flight changes. When I arrived the night manager was very h e loful and managed to accommodate me. Further, my stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole place was very well maintained. The location is perfect and easy to access. I really enjoyed my stay.

The hotel was in the perfect location, just a few minutes walk to public transportation (T1, T2 trams). The Galata tower is just in the next street. We booked the queen suite and the room was spacious, clean and had all the facilities we wanted. And we enjoyed the breakfast spread!The staff was friendly and caring. The receptionist helped us finding the way to get to the attractions. (Unfortunately I don't remember his name). Nazanin, the guest relations manager is a wonderful lady, who looked after us, she even kept a surprise gift for us at our door, which was so sweet and we felt very much welcomed at the place. Overall we were very happy about the hotel and recommend it to anyone.

Excellent location. very close to Galata tower. Initially we were in queen room which was very small so we moved to bigger room which was nice. Excellent breakfast and all the young staff.

Amazing historical location!

There was a switch up from the place I was originally signed up for due to an issue with HVAC at the initial place. Fortunately, the back - up place was also good.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Istanbul. The location was excellent, making it very easy to explore the city. The breakfast was fresh and delicious every day, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to Nazanin for her kindness and helpfulness. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

the Wi-Fi was working but the internet was very slow. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The restaurant is very small and not designed to accommodate many people. It can feel uncomfortable, especially if you are visiting with small children.

Great location right next to Galata Tower, walking distance to many attractions. The room was cozy and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is perfect for couples. It's in a great location, just a few meters from Galata Tower and close to many bars and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and kind. We definitely recommend it.
