Nordstern Hotel Galata

Everything about it was perfectly fine.

taken to a restaurant by a staff member of the hotel. It was the worst restaurant I have been in in turkey so far. The food was disgusting. It was way over priced. My steak was like an overcooked piece of boot leather. I was a chef for over 25 years.

Beautiful view from top floor. Delicious breakfest includedwith the room. Awesome location. And the staff are so helpful.

Maybe it seemed that table tops in the room were not wiped off and cleaned.

The location was perfect

Old building. Cards for doors didn’t work. Was given keys and that also didn’t always work. Rooms were nice but certain things needed updating. Staff didn’t speak English well enough. Needed Google translate quite a few timesNeeded to call to have air conditioner flipped on

The breakfast was good, but they ran out of the cold cuts and wasn’t replenished even though we were there by 9 and they were open till 11:30!! When we asked they said no more. Location was excellent. Tram was across the street. Walking distance to the Spice Bazaar and the ferry terminal. Lots of eateries close by. Bonus was having the money exchange place next door with a decent rate.

Had issues with the door and made the first night very unpleasant as it was late and we were tired. The front desk didn’t speak much English so communication was difficult. They did upgrade me the next day and I ended up with a big room with an amazing view of the Bosphorous, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. In the end my stay was pleasant.

The staff was great -- they really showed us the Turkish hospitality. The location is perfect, right by the Galata Bridge -- next to the tram line and the funicular. The room was clean -- a pretty average room. The view from the breakfast floor was amazing.

We had many issues with our room key card when our first day, and let them know about it, and they said they would fix it, but never did. The lighting in the room could be better -- I could barely put my contacts in with how dark it was in the bathroom. There were no other mirrors in the room, but the bathroom. The wifi wasn't the best -- always disconnected and wasn't strong. Ended up using data most of the time.

Location, staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, breakfast was adequate and the rooftop view was extraordinary. You can relax there while waiting. Special mention to Sayfullah, Ramazan, Yusuf, Metin and Sevim who gave excellent service!

Very nice and experience during the stay in Nordstern Galata. The staff allowed us to enter the roof top and enjoy the Turkish tea before checking in! The roof top has absolutely fantastic view of sea and people crowd. The breakfast is also very good :)

The carpet was filthy and just thrown on top of floor it wasn’t attached down. The bathroom was dirty, hair in the shower and mold in the sink. It was obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

This hotel was perfect for us. If you want to stay in Istanbul this is the place to stay. Central location, you can enjoy all the day time activities. Site seeing and tours ect. And at night you have the convenience of close to bars and restaurants with music. Great for a family. The staff was so friendly, all of them!! The breakfast was delicious. I totally recommend this hotel. Thank you

Air condition not working, no hot water to shower

The location is just perfect and the view from my room or from the rooftop was mesmerizing

The rooms need a major renovation, the bed cover was full literally full of dust ? the wallpaper was peeling off , The breakfast buffet lacked variety and was very basic ، The window was full of bird droppings.

The location is very good. T1 station is just downstairs. Perfect view where you can see the scenery of the strait. The view of the restaurant on the roof is comparable to the Galatian Tower.Staff is very nice. I got room upgraded for the last night in Istanbul. It made me a nice trip in Istanbul.

Perfectly located to explore the main tourist attractions of Istanbul. Clean, spacious rooms. The staff was great, they made extra efforts to make us feel comfortable. Overall, great experience which we would definitely recommend to anyone.

Location is fabulous. Right outside the tramway that connects Sultanahmet. You can see the Hagia Sofia from the rooms. Lots of shops and access to everything downstairs.

The bed was a king but their sheets did not cover the whole bed. Coming from the US that felt weird. Also they supply shampoo but no conditioner. Also no body cream. We did not ask either.
