Nidya Hotel Galataport

The location is absolutely unbeatable and the terrace has amazing views. The staff is also friendly, professional, and helpful.

The room was a bit old (AC made a loud noise, and vent in bathroom had a strong smell like it hadnt been used in a while) but everything was still nice and clean.

The staff is rude, the management is very poor, the rooms are very, very bad and the equipment is very old and broken. Our room smelled strongly of sewage, but they changed the room after we complained.

Room was very comfortable and location was great. Also Mr Aras and Mr Ahmed were very professional, helpful, polite and friendly. They are the best.

Some staff was not helpful

Staff were very nice, welcoming and helpful. Good location near the waterfront on tram line. Nice breakfast - lots of variety. They happily looked after our bags after checkout.

Very noisy AC. Some breakfast items were cold (the fancy food warmers didn't work very well). Threre were a few mosquitoes in our room. No view from our room.

Non availability of adaptors for charging electronics. They should inform incoming guests of type and kind of plugs they have and what to bring for adaptors. They should include some American/international selections for breakfast.

The staff that worked at Nydia made our trip so much more fun. Effe helped us out when we needed to move rooms.The bartender at the rooftop was always pleasant and very accommodating. The front desk staff could answer all of our questions.

Sadly, the staff were not helpful and the male staff worker who accompanied me with my luggage was dismissive and aggressive. I called reception to ask for an adapter because mine was not compatible to the plugs, the staff had one in the premises but I was told I’d said have to pay 200 lira to the staff in order to get it and charge my phone. The male staff member who took my bags to my room when I first checked-in, came to room with the adapter and refused for me to use the adapter for an hour since my phone battery was about to be flat. I am a loyal customer to the hotel but I was treated badly and none of the staff cared. I definitely will not be returning. I only wanted to charge my phone to inform my family that I arrived safely. I could not do that. I ended up going to charge my phone at one of the restaurants opposite the hotel. Also, the hotel served ketchup in a broken ice-cream cone. I ordered the burger and the bun was not fresh. Room service is quick but the burger I ordered was not fresh particularly the bun. I enjoyed the fries. Great location but the staff do not care.

Convenient location

Does not support loyal customer. We were in expat tour and received a super small room compared to our friends were in a different hotel moving over for the tour which has made an impact on our decision making of coming back to your hotel.

We loved the rooftop bar. Also, some of the staff were so helpful. Efe helped us with moving our luggage around to a different room, and every time we came back to the hotel, he came over to assist us with anything we needed. Memet served us drinks at the rooftop bar and even rearranged furniture so that our group would be comfortable. Then when we were in the lobby, he helped with ensuring we had water to drink. What a gentleman.Bilken help us with changing rooms because the air conditioning in our room went out. The people working in this hotel is what made it such an incredible stay! The location is fabulous for all of the experiences we had scheduled.

We reserved 3 room with equal conditions but they consider the customer silly and say if you want all rooms in the same quality you should pay more otherwise you will get lower quality for the 3rd room!No paper towel, no shampoo and I asked too many times to give us a clean blanket with blanket sheet. They just try their best not to understandI just wonder why the rating was good and how come they are 4 stars hotelI asked for the airport shuttle and they provided somebody who did not use AC in hot weather, driving crazily, arguing with people and speeding insanely and finally wanted to charge us more because we wanted to pay with card . Perfect farewell gift, thank you!

The location. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, good menu and breakfast options (we enjoyed the omelettes), fresh fruit would also be a welcoming option

Bathroom had a musty smell. We were also disappointed that the roof top terrace wasn’t open (I believe it’s seasonal)
