Pros +
- Location was perfect! Right in the heart of Old Town, walking distance to many of the must-see sights, the metro and the Grand Bazaar. Loads of places to eat and shop and visit close by.
- Location is everything. Hotel is located exceedingly well for walking to all the areas of Old Town and also very easy to grab public transport for areas farther out.
- Very clean rooms, elevator was fully functional, breakfasts was good in the mornings, staff was generally nice, very very close to the sultanahmet tram stop, and other great restaurants in the area.
Cons -
- The elevators are seriously in need of updating - one was broken off and on and the other was SUPER slow. Breakfast was abundant and the woman running it was wonderful, however it was a challenge for some of my non-Turkish family members to find things they liked. I understand this is a THEM issue and not a problem with the hotel which provided an extensive buffet, but I do think it's helpful for others to be prepared.
- So the property is in a narrow street in a very touristic area so taxi will most likely make you walk about 300/400 feet to the hotel. We stayed in the connected room with the two small beds in one. The big bed room was great, the smaller room with the two beds is very very small. And there’s not a lot of room to put your luggage or event a stool to put it. So my luggage was always on the floor near the window. The refrigerator was broken in my room. No guests were allowed at the hotel for friends that were picking me up I was told they could only be in the room 5 minutes, kind of odd if we’ve paid and provided all our identifications. Also after a certain hour maybe like 0200/0300 the front door is locked so you have to knock to be let in.
- The room service so bad. Everyday i had to go fetch water, tea and sugar from the downside bar since she never refilled the water. During my stay, twice, room service did not clean my room and renewed my towels (but the reception guy did the needful about the replenishment) Secondly, the linen on the bed was never changed! I stayed there for 10 days, and on my arrival, there was a little black mark on the linen. It stayed like that until i left. 10 days and literally no linen change. I wonder what happened to hygiene. Thirdly, i booked two exact same room. But one room was drastically smaller than the other one. There is a drastic need for maintenance in the rooms. The doors are fluffed up, probably from water damage. Black mold on the silicones in the bathroom, some handles are missing screws and might break if you use a little force. Even the towel hanger came out while i was pulling the towel from it. Breakfast is good but a bit repetitive and you don’t know what you are eating since the dishes are not labelled

First of all, the reception staff and the kitchen team were a total 5 star. And i mean each and everyone. They cater to everything you need. The location is magnificent since it is in walking distance to the main attractions like Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque etc. Also the tram stop is pretty close.

Descent breakfast, some of the staff were nice.
Lower value than what was expected. Electricity was unreliable, it got cut off multiple nights, and it was hot and not being able to use the AC at night made things worse. The staff at the front desk were unwilling to provide any kind of compensation for the inconveniences. The hotel room had inadequate lighting and was too dark.
Very good location, staff was friendly, breakfast was good will not say excellent.
Booking a tour is much cheaper outside, at hotel 10-15% expensive. Room had no view, some construction work going on adjacent to the hotel due to which noisy at day time.
Spacious clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff who were always accommodating, variety to choose from for breakfast, had a room with a balcony
No complaints
It was in a good neighborhood and the staff was really friendly.
The ac in my room didn’t work.
The location is excellent, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff are incredible, always willing to help and being extremely nice.
Great location, very kind and helpful staff. Breakfast was also nice and plenty. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.
Very nice hotel, well located next to restaurants, shops and the tram
Staff sometimes rude
Nice hotel, good breakfast, the staff was very welcoming.
The noise in the hotel quite disturbing, you can hear people from next door sneezing or talking, across the road there is a building in renovation and the noise is very loud. There was a smell from the drains in the bathroom and the shower quite small. The description says the rooms has garden view but I definitely didn’t see any garden around.
The hotel staffs were really nice and kind to us. The location is perfect to go sightseeing. We could walk to some spots easily from there.
The location was wonderful!!! We were within walking distance to everything we needed, including a little grocery store. The hotel itself isn’t very sound proof and was pretty loud, especially at night. The front staff was amazing! They were honestly the most helpful people found the whole trip. The heating was VERY effective, to the point I needed to turn it off because it stayed too warm. The shower always had hot water and the beds were comfortable. It shows its age and wear and tear but overall it was a decent place to stay in a very big city.
The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped.
Very clean good people and all of the team were excellent especially Burak and Ugur. Thank you to all.
The location was amazing. The price was very good. The breakfast was fantastic, with many dishes to choose from and very tasty. The persons in the reception were very helpful and polite. The room was clean. The wifi was fast. The room and lobby were very beautiful and as shown in the pictures. The bed was very comfortable. We had free bottles of water every day.
The ventilation in the bathroom of our room was probably broken so there was a funny smell. The person responsible for cleaning took my toothbrush out of its paper case(I had opened my toothbrush and kept it in it's paper case for hygiene reasons) and threw away the paper case, maybe the persons took it for trash(?). I had to buy a new toothbrush after that that I kept in my backage.
The breakfast was amazing, beds super comfortable and the staff really friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend
Slightly bad smell from the drains at times, plus our room was slightly underground so no windows
This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Its biggest advantage is undoubtedly its location: just a few minutes’ walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Public transportation stops are also very close, making it incredibly easy to get anywhere in the city. Despite being in the very heart of Istanbul, the hotel is surprisingly quiet at night, allowing for a peaceful and restful sleep without any disturbance from city noise. The staff is excellent: friendly, welcoming, and always eager to communicate in the guest’s language. They are ready to help with any situation, whether it’s printing a boarding pass or handling a noisy neighbor watching TV too loudly.Breakfast is great and diverse, with plenty of options for European tastes as well as traditional Turkish dishes, giving guests a chance to experience the local cuisine. There is more than enough food to fuel up before a day of sightseeing. The rooms are very comfortable, featuring cozy beds that provide excellent sleep and spacious, spotless bathrooms with strong water pressure. Daily housekeeping ensures impeccable cleanliness: fresh towels, bottled water, coffee, and a well-maintained room every day. It’s clear that the hotel prioritizes hygiene and comfort.Overall, this hotel is a perfect choice for a stay in Istanbul, offering top-notch service, comfort, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended!
The only minor downside comes from the building’s historic character: since it is an old structure, there may be occasional issues like temperature fluctuations or mild odors from the pipes. However, simply opening a window usually solves this.Despite that, the hotel is well-equipped for all needs, including an elevator, making it easy to access upper floors.
Great location, friendly staff, clean room and good breakfast
The staff were great and very friendly...Murat was a great guy who was always happy to help and greet the guests... everyone was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was good as well. The location is excellent with everything within walking distance of a few mins. Many major attractions and the tram were all 5 mins away including restaurants, but i would avoid most of the restaurants around here, mostly expensive tourist prices. Just around 1 hr from and to the IST airport which was great given the traffic. There are 2 elevators as well which was good. I would recommend this place if you are looking to explore Istanbul especially on foot.
The sounds from inside the hotel were pretty disturbing, after a long day of exploring, getting a good night's sleep was a bit difficult, especially early in the morning. It was very loud i would say. Cleaning, and plumbing sounds were clearly heard from other rooms as well as chatter of people. Rooms could use some soundproofing. Also the bathroom in one of the rooms i had was a bit small, it feels a bit cramped up in the shower and on the toilet...i'm 5' 7 and 160Lbs, someone bigger would have a very difficult time. However the bathroom in the second room was spacious. We had connecting rooms. Overall the disturbing sounds were the only downside i would say. Also please do wash the cups and kettle before use, they were not very clean.
