Zem Hotel

The room was clean, as the entire hotel. The bed was comfortable and the location is excellent, very close to the tourist attractions. The staff is very polite and friendly and they speak English very good so you won't have any problems with communication. Would recommend this place!

The only thing missing is breakfast service. But even that isn’t an issue, since there are lots of places to eat in the area, including bars, cafés, and restaurants. The Wi-Fi connection on our floor was generally good, but at times it was very slow or didn’t work at all.

The location was perfect in the middle of the town . The amazing young lady from Azerbaijan makes it even better for being so professional and welcoming

Everything went well for a short stay

The stuff was very helpful and even though they don’t have breakfast and not a kettle with coffee/tea in the room, in the reception they do offer it for free at anytime.

The location was good as it’s 10min walking from Blue Mosque… but it’s located exactly almost the corner of a hilltop… so, don’t think on wearing high heels or walking around your suitcase up/down hill to the tram…

Very clean property and kind staff.

We were two friends and requested a room with two beds, but one bed was quite large while the other was a single, so two beds of the same size would have been preferred.

All good ... infact a great hotel with clean rooms... and very near to Blue mosque, Topkapi palace etc. (walkable distance)

i would have rated 10 ..but gave 9...just because they dont provide drinking water in the room. You have to go to reception area for water and by the way for people who book economy double room the room Heater is under the dressing table (hidden) ..even some of the staff is not aware of it.

The price and the bed was comfortable.

Not too clean. It should be better in my opinion. Also next visit i would prefer a hotel that is up close to grand bazaar, beceause you have to walk a lot of stairs.

Bed very comfy, recently renovated. Close to everything. Street a little bit uphill but as so many streets in Istanbul.

Walls made from carboot,can hear absolutely any sound from any direction,even when other people use toilet in other room. Very extremely bad walls construction,noisy,couldn’t sleep all 3 nights,wifi also very very slow,couldn’t even load emails properly . Staff is good location so so,build quality poor

I like the location and the staff was very nice every day the cleaning ladies came and cleaned the room and changed the towels the room it’s so cosy and quality compared to the price I find it’s so fair

Great location and very clean room.

The walls are so thin that you can hear people in the next room. We woke up many times at night because of that. The bed was too hard.

The hotel is well located, the center of the city is really close and there are a lot of places like restaurants, laundry stores etc around the hotel. The bed was comfortable and there wasn't much noise during the night so we could sleep good.

The attitude of the front desk personal was not good at all, the ones on night and day shift were really rude even one of them was just staring to my girlfriend like if she has stolen something, that was really uncomfortable, in the other hand the person on Afternoon shift was really friendly.The room was small and when we arrived the toilet was stained, it was until next day after the house keeping lady cleaned the room that looked better.

Clean, nice friendly staff , good location

Great location was the biggest plus. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception and you can’t complain about cleanliness of the room.

The biggest issue was the noise - you can hear everything from other rooms and the hall. Difficult to sleep with drunk guests arriving late at night. Also there no kettle or glasses in the room, you can have hot water from the reception. Towels and bedding was not always great - e.g. holes in the towels. Bathroom was so tiny you were hitting the sink when entering. Some improvements to be made for sure.

Everything was perfect! The room was spacious and clean. The staff are wonderful. They can speak English and Russian fluently. They will help you, answer all your questions and recommend places to visit. Selcuk is amazing, he's polite and has got a great sense of humour. The cleaning was also good. They changed bed linen and towels, which were fresh and white, and gave us 2 bottles of water a day. We didn't have any problems with hot water. There's water, tea and instant coffee in the lobby. Apple tea is worth trying! We had a kettle in the room and they gave us an iron. The location is perfect! The main landmarks, a tram station and good cafes are close to the hotel. You should definitely stay here!

Nothing! However, if you need absolute silence when you're sleeping, you should buy earplugs because a mosque is located near the hotel and calls to prayer may wake you up. It didn't bother me at all. On the contrary, it helped to feel the atmosphere of Istanbul and learn more about its culture and religion.

far away enough from the hustle and bustle but easy to walk to popular spots. Chill area with nice restaurants. Cosy hotel, all amities included, aircon, towels & soaps. Water station & coffee at reception.

Not an issue, but a heads up it is on a cobbled slope.
