location is good and that's all

The room basically was okay, but there was a loud nightclub, and hotel doesn't make anything to make your stay comfort. The breakfast was below average

The staff was amazing, particularly Umut who was very helpful and resolved an issue with the room I had initially booked, which made my stay more pleasant. Also Fatih and Burak were very helpful. The location of the hotel is close to Istiklal street, a main shopping hub with many restaurants, cafes and local/international brands.

Nothing to complain about because the hotel was good value for the money spent.

Hoyel's location is 10/10. The photos show what it is in reality. Rooms with enough space, a comfortable bed, and nice linens.

Breakfast is very limited. There are a few options, and it's the same every day.

Nice location, close by to some nice bars, coffee shops and restaurants. The staff was amazing and more than polite.

Because of the central location is getting a bit noisy in the evening, but this is Istanbul, so nothing extraordinary. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

Excellent Location and Helpful StaffWe had a great stay! The location is excellent — less than a minute walk to Istiklal Street and around 10 minutes to Taksim Square. The area is lively and convenient, perfect for exploring Istanbul.The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. They allowed us to leave our bags after checkout, which made our last day much easier.We really enjoyed the sea view from the room,such a lovely bonus. Just keep in mind that the street can get a bit noisy at night, especially on weekends.Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the heart of the city!

Gentle Tom is a great hotel in a great neighborhood. Tom Tom is a great area. It's central while being a real neighborhood with a great mix of locals and visitors of all types. I care about the decor of rooms in hotels and was pleased to find my room well designed, simple, stylish and comfortable. The lobby doesn't match the thoughtful design of the rooms and the rooftop with its great views of the city and the Bosporus. Just outside the hotel to the left is the main shopping street of Istanbul with all the international and national brands and tons of people. Easy walking to other interesting areas like Galata. Cafe Ara is in between the hotel and the main street a few steps from the hotel with a great local vibe. To the right a few doors down is a lovely wine bar and Italian restaurant perfect for a relaxed first night in town. There are local shops and groceries on the the street for basics or if if you want a quieter evening. The former French Orphanage down the street is a beautiful green oasis with a cafe for a lovely early evening.

Some say it's noisy but it's where the action is. I wasn't bothered by the noise. I previously stayed in a quieter more expensive area of Istanbul and found it dull especially as a solo traveler.

The staff was super helpful and friendly, always greeting the guests with a smile and kind word. The breakfast on the rooftop was great, and the unhindered view of Topkapi and Haya Sophia surpassed the view from other vantage spots in the city, including the Galata Tower. The location is just excellent —within walking distance of the Galata Tower area, the Karaköy port, and also Taksim Square. It is a close distance from The Museum of Innocence, which is a great introduction to the city of Istanbul and some of its history.

Noise. There are bars in the neighborhood that make it difficult to fall asleep. Only the use of ANC headphones did the trick.

It was a bit loud at night and Aircon wasn't the best but the location and staff were very friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay and how central the place was

The hotel staff is incredibly kind and helpful, even providing a room before the official check-in time. The location is convenient, and the hotel is very clean, making for a pleasant stay. However, the breakfast is quite simple and repetitive, lacking variety. Additionally, the hotel can be very noisy at night due to nearby clubs, which may be a concern for light sleepers.

Room was really nice and staff was friendly. Location is perfect to explore modern side of Istanbul, very vibrant.

It gets very loud in the evening (even with closed windows) since hotel is next to many bars. Rooftop terrace was closed, bar was not working, breakfast was very simple.

The design was tasteful and the quality of the room and beddings were fantastic. The roof deck was a vibe. You can’t beat this location! Right smack in the middle of everything!

Nothing really. I understood what I booked. Maybe the super steep stairs by the balcony but that’s really the layout of the buildings in the city.

Great location , very nice Design (Interiors, barhrooms, Terrace). The staff was willing to help, although objectively, it is difficult to contact with such little knowledge of english-actually that was the case at many places we visited. In any case, our main issue was that the Hotel is very noisy, so we had to change rooms. Fortunately it was possible to change from a balcony room (above the little street at the back with the bars) to a front street room that was much better, so our advice is to choose the rooms that face the front street in advance (no balcony).Breakfast was okay, not great because of little variety. The Terrace view is great to start the day.Over all, our advice to the Hotel is to sound-proof the exrerior walls, also maybe invest a little more on service and gentletom will be top!

We liked the location, it was very central and close to everything. Room 401 street side has a nice view and was well decorated. Comfortable bed. The staff was nice.

As well as the location was central, the hotel was just next to a very loud street and partclub. From wednesday to saturday, the music was extremly loud. The breakfast is a joke! The instagram page and booking page shows picture of nice food that doesnt exist. We didnt eat there at all.

Location, Staff, cleanliness and privacy

No parking or even dedicated place for loading and loading luggage, no food varieties, no enough amenities like swimming pool, GYM, coffe shop or restaurant.

Convenient for attractions, well furnished room, lovely staff. Breakfast was fine for us but some people might find it lacking variety

Only one thing. Our room backed onto a lane containing a club which played loud music, sometimes till 2 or 3am

The location is really good, the breakfast was really nice and the staff was extremely kind. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable.

It is a bit noisy, but with earplugs you can sleep peaceful?

The location is superb, the welcome warm and the room was great, spacious and comfortable.

Facilities were adequate but not sparkley! It would have been nice if the bar had a bit of life.

We arrived on 21st Nov at around 10 am at the hotel. We were expecting that we would drop our bags and leave the hotel as hotels normally don't allow check in until the afternoon. However, Gentletom staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in already. As a bonus, they also allowed us to have breakfast upstairs, which had a really nice view of Istanbul! All facilities of the room were clean and nice, the hotel looks new and is very aesthetically pleasing. The hotel is also a minute away from Istiklal Street, perfect for tourists.

Sve je bilo super, hotel je smesten na odlicnoj lokaciji. Osoblje je veoma, veoma ljubazno, sve pohvale za osoblje. Sobe su udobne i ciste.

Nisam najzadovoljniji sa doruckom ali sve u svemu hotel je ispunio moja ocekivanja.
