Hotel Poem

The hotel was in a great location to walk to all the sights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Fren. The breakfasts were the best we’ve had anywhere but we just couldn’t eat all that food. And our room was very private and large and we could lay in bed and look out at the sea.

Breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly. Location excellent.

Although we requested a double bed, in fact the room had two single beds pushed together.Air con temperature for the room not controllable by guests. Pressing the up/down arrows on the controller did nothing. we reported this but nothing was done about it.

The staff was really friendly and the location is in the absolute heart of the city! And the breakfast was our favorite of the trip.

Nothing. Everything was amazing.

Excellent location, loved the breakfast and staff os very friendly

(1) This property is in the best location - Walking distance to shopping, the blue mosque and Haggia Sophia, and 10 minutes walk to the tram that can take you most other places in Istanbul. (2) The staff - especially Eren - made our stay exceptional! Eren is so kind, helpful, and is went out of his way to ensure we had a great time. He told us where to go and where to avoid and taught us some Turkish phrases. Every morning after we finished breakfast, we’d just sit by the front desk and chat with him. He really made our stay special. The rest of the staff were amazing too - the breakfast team and the house keeping team were so kind to us. And breakfast in the morning…wow. Everything was fresh and made to order in house. Highly recommend.

Amazing breakfast. Location is walking distance to major sites

Lobby is small. Bathroom a bit rundown

Location, staff, breakfast....all very good!

Great location and confortable room. Very friendly staff

Great location

Description was for one large bed, and that is what the hotel photos show but we had 2 single beds pushed together.

Location was good, very friendly staff

Room was tiny. Two people couldn’t move around it at the same time. Has to go down to reception each evening to ask for the Aircon to be turned on. It was controlled centrally by them.

Charming literary theme outside and in. Breakfast was fabulous! Our table was practically covered with a wonderful variety of dishes and they also made omelettes or other kinds of eggs to order. The coffee was good too. The staff were very helpful and attentive. They will arrange whatever you need. Homemade cookies as well as drinking water in the lobby 24/7. The location is excellent. Safe neighborhood. There are many, many restaurants to walk to.

The only negative was a bit of construction during the night which prohibited us from opening windows to cool off at night. This hotel made the next place on our journey look bad.

Hotel Poem is centrally located in Istanbul. It is safe and and very nice, chic place to stay at. The staff is amazing, specially Erin whom we had amazing conversation with.

The breakfast was amazing. The room we had with a view was superb and location in old town perfect

Fabulous, central location with an excellent breakfast! The staff was welcoming and very helpful in suggesting places to visit, where to find what we were interested in and being available for anything we might need/want.

Great location. Sensational breakfast! The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable.

Our TV was working

The staff- everyone was authentically kind and helpful. The hotel was unique, charming, quiet, well located.

I was cautioned not to trust the water 100% and I understand that can be an issue in many cities; the difference is that they told me and I appreciate that very much.

Great location, outstanding over-the-top breakfast, and beautiful views of the Bosporus from our room

Hotel Poem exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is outstanding, making it easy to explore Istanbul’s historic sites on foot. The hotel is spotless — one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Rooms are modern, comfortable, and equipped with everything a traveler might need. The staff were genuinely warm, friendly, and eager to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was exceptional, offering a traditional Turkish spread with fresh, high-quality ingredients, served by attentive and pleasant staff. This small, modern, and very well-managed boutique hotel combines charm with professionalism. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Fantastic and bountiful daily breakfast, kind and helpful staff (shout out to Eren and Omer who were so attentive), and close proximity to major sites (literally a block away from the palace and Hagia Sofia)

While the hotel was on a quiet side street and close to the sites, we found the general area to be VERY touristy and authentic restaurant options were more limited

The location, comfort, the breakfast. But above all, the hospitality and kindness of the staff was exceptional. I can’t wait to return to Turkey and hotel Poem. Thank you all for taking such a wonderful care of my sister and I. We love you!
