Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet

Pros: Unbeatable location for touring Sultanahmet (old town), especially for first-time visitors to the city. Exceptional staff: very attentive and friendly. Excellent restaurants--breakfast was great and dinner at Avlu was top-notch. Luxurious comfort, yet not ostentatious. The room was spacious and clean, the pillows and linens were a dream, as were the towels and bath products; the room temperature was easily adjusted, and the blackout shades were a game changer.

Cons: The shower pressure in our room could have been better.

The hotel breakfast was exceptional and the staff were very helpful. Rooms are spacious and well designed.i loved the rooftop bar and views. The food there was also excellent. The hotel is centrally located.

We received a garden level room that was lacking in privacy and felt exposed. There were workers tending to the garden right in front of the windows during daytime. Plus it did not get any light. The staff made it sound like we were upgraded to a better category but that really was the worst for our first trip to the hotel. Also the congestion of the area and entrance of the hotel is a bit frustrating. Hotel is definitely old luxury but it could do with revising prices as on higher end and does not merit it for many reasons.

The hotel was exactly what we wanted: small, refined and located right in the heart of Sultanahmet. The staff were all wonderful, especially the knowledgeable and helpful concierges who recommended lots of places of interest off the beaten track that we could easily have overlooked. The restaurant, Avlu, was excellent. The gym, while quite small, has enough equipment for a good workout. The massage treatments at the spa were very good too.

All the staff members were very warm, kind, and welcoming. The concierge service was top notch, and the gentleman helped us greatly by suggesting restaurants ideas.

Nothing to not like.

Everything this is my second stay here , the building itself is historic and it’s located in the heart of a historic area , but the main thing I love about this hotel and will make me come back many times more is their staff so helpful , kind and they remember every detail about our preferences in my opinion the best hotel staff in Istanbul

Location is just a block from the famous Sultanhamet Square. The staff was friendly and helpful. The work out space was pretty good. I would highly recommend!

More vegan options

The hotel was an oasis in the middle of downtown Istanbul with a wonderful garden to relax and have some drinks. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice room with views to the courtyard. Remarkable is also the terrace on the top floor with direct view to the Hagia Sophia and really good drinks and bar food.

It was a beautiful building and the rooms were stunning. Its location was perfect.

If I had anything to say it would be that the menu in the restaurant was quite limited.

We chose this location of the the Four Seasons Sultanahmet as it felt it to be a beautiful historical hotel and perfectly placed to be able to explore the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar and more all within walking distance. The bedrooms had fantastic blinds to block out all light so one could sleep peacefully and the air con was set to a perfect temperature with no noise unlike other hotels who rarely get it right. Its central garden felt a haven of calm beauty for delicious breakfasts and evening dinners. The roof top bar was fun with great cocktails and a DJ doing an ambient vibe. We also loved hearing the call to prayer, the whole atmosphere was wonderful.

Everything was perfect. Could not fault it.

Luxury rooms and amenities. Staff is very attentive. They left a bookmark on the book I was reading and tied our charging cables with leather holders. They left little treats every day in our room.Beds are super comfortable.

Beautiful boutique feel. Unique history. Location second to none!Rooftop bar was awesome.Resident DJ excellent.

We love the boat transfer to the sister hotel on the Bosphorus. The height of luxury travel. Pool there was great.

I think more could be made of the roof top bar area. By 8.30pm, it was dead

This hotel was absolutely amazing. From location, to service, to comfort, absolutely everything was fantastic. The staff is really focused on the guest and will go the extra mile to help and make the guest feel at home.

Restaurant offer could be better - breakfast choices were fairly limited (including the buffet). Also, the on-site Avlu restaurant is fairly limited in their food choices for lunch/dinner, especially compared to what other hotels of this range in Istanbul offer (including Four Seasons at Bosporus).

As usual, high level of service, responsive staff.

Breakfast at $40 per person is quite basic compared to other hotels in the chain.
