Hotel Torun Istanbul Old City

The hotel’s location is excellent — very close to the tramway, which makes getting around the city easy and convenient.The cleanliness was outstanding, honestly better than many 4- and 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at in Istanbul.The staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was supposed to cost $5, but they told me it was complimentary — which was a nice surprise. It included all the basics: eggs, cheese, honey, butter, bread, and tea.I arrived very early in the morning (around 10 a.m.), and they kindly allowed me an early check-in, which I really appreciated after a long trip.Overall, the value for money is excellent — truly impressive for the price.The receptionist provided me with tools to fix my broken suitcase, which I really appreciated.

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like.

Great location, clean room and helpful staff. I was allowed to leave my bags after checkout for several hours without any problems.

- no cleaning the room when i stay for almost a week- a/c is so bad- room extremely small

The hotel is clean, I checked in 2 hours early and the room was clean. I didn't expect this level of cleanliness after reading the negative reviews about the hotel.

Fridge doesn't work but I didn't ask to be honest

I don't like small of sigart and small of buffet in my room. I was in 3 floor

The metro and tram are a short walk away so convenient for getting around, breakfast provided a good start to the day. Everything was in good order in the room and the shower was good, I think it was good value and the staff were friendly also.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is close to the tram.

The breakfast was tasteless, and once they even gave me stale food. When I complained, they didn't like it.

Breakfast is exquisite, room is clean and organised. Hotel staffs are extremely friendly.

Bathroom size is a bit small. Other than that, everything is in Order.

The place was close to historical places and have a good access to public transport.

The breakfast selection remained the same throughout our stay and did not meet our expectations. While the night reception staff were pleasant, the individual we encountered during breakfast was unfriendly and did not greet us. This lack of warmth and hospitality made us feel unwelcome, and we did not enjoy going down for breakfast each day in.addition to lack of variety in the food.

It's not the first time we chose staying at the hotel. Close to bus and tram station.Lots of markets and restaurants. Our favorite place to stay when we are in Istanbul.

Good value for the money, good transport connection.

Too noisy inside and outside the hotel. Also staff not really really oriented on tourists. Another little issue was language barrier but was expected.

Easy Check-in & Check-out.Taxi Service very good and not as expensive as normal taxis.Breakfast (7:00-10:00) had good variety of regional food despite being just a small buffet. Near to restaurants. Near to Tramway and Busstation.Personel is very friendly and speaks english fluently.

Street gets a little loud in the evening.

The staff was lovely. I think there was only one man (that I encountered) who spoke English, and he was able to help me with anything I needed. If he wasn't around there was lots of miming and pointing, but for simple stuff that was sufficient. The room was nothing fancy, but it was clean and the bathroom had hot water. There is no AC, which they do notify you of when you book a room. There was a ceiling fan and that was fine in September. I loved the breakfast. It was simple and mostly the same each morning, but they did have slight variations in what they offered. I thought it was tasty. I loved the location. I would describe it as being in a residential neighborhood, so it's pretty quiet and calm. Right around the corner is a street that has several restaurants and some food and other shops, and it's quite active at night. The best food I ate in Istanbul was at those local restaurants and all for a good price. There is a tram stop maybe a 5 minute walk from the hotel that will take you to some of the major sites you'll want to see in Istanbul. I was a solo female traveler and had no issues walking through here or eating here late at night, other than some people staring. I was pleasantly suprised and pleased with my stay here.

The location was perfect, safety, near to train, supermarket and food around, amazing park around and acient stuff! The hotel design was good. Some of the employees was very gentle and helpful.

-As beautiful was the towels smell, as terrible was the smell of the room(the smell had permeated the bad taught pillow, the bedspread, the mattress and the curtains, (not smoke, but dirty head smell if I can describe somekind)( even that I make check in almost 12 hours later, mean have plenty of time to air and fix this ). -Was cold the night in the room cause no air condition and gap under the door.-The worst of all was the sounds of other rooms that making bath and hear like making bath in your room like water fall in rocks. (Thanks god the other room was quiet people so no other sounds)All that makes my experience so bad, forced me change hotel after 3 days. Also even that the terms of hotel was to prepaid (1 day ) the room in my arrival, I prepaid by myself more than one day, and after every time they see me asking me when i gonna pay as like I was gonna leave as a theaf without paying them.

The room was cleas in check in

Room was extremely small, there was not shampoo in the room, i expected the next day day from them to put a shampo but they even didn't cleaned the room. Breakfast was terrible.

After spending a week at the hotel, we are overall very satisfied with the service (Mr Cengiz and the night reception boy were very attentive), the breakfast was varied and very good, and the location is 1 min from the metro. It was very pleasant.
