Pros +
- It’s a family-run business in a very safe and secure place, located right in the heart of the city’s most lively and vibrant district. At the same time, it’s just a few steps away from the hustle and bustle, so it’s quieter. Don’t worry about parking, there’s a parking lot just a few steps away, and it costs 1,000 lira per night. The place is very clean and nice. Hot water, air conditioning that lets you control the room temperature, and a clean, newly renovated environment and being very safe are main features of the place.
- Great staff and great locationVery Good value for your money The staff makes you feel at home and very generous of their time.
- Omar is incredibly lovely. I arrived exhausted and frazzled, and he checked me in and chatted with me. The room was incredibly comfortable, and when I needed to stay longer it was easy to extend my time. I had an issue with my Airbnb fall through and he even helped to arrange me a longer term stay with a kitchen. Couldn't have been kinder, warmer or more welcoming.
Cons -
- Maybe the only downside is the access — the stairs are a bit tricky when it comes to carrying luggage. If there’s a man around, he’ll help you with that, but if not, well, that’s just how it is. The area has very strict construction regulations, so the place has been renovated within those limits — there really wasn’t any other option. The rooms might also be a bit small, but again, that’s due to the traditional urban layout of the neighborhood. You just have to embrace it and enjoy its unique charm.
- Bathroom is very small and storage of you are a certain size and if you have many luggage
- We felt misled by high ratings for this hotel. The bed was very hard and the base was broken in the middle. The bed sagged/folded into the middle, which was very uncomfortable and our backs hurt in the morning. We asked the staff if we could change rooms or cancel the reservation for the remaining 2 nights and they said there was nothing they could do besides flipping the mattress so it was even harder. The WiFi was very unstable, and the space is not suitable for remote work. The shower had weird staining on the floor which looked like someone had partially scrubbed it with bleach. It felt unclean so I wanted to shower with sandals on. I think this place would be ok for a single night or for a single person, but I don’t recommend booking for several nights like we did.

The location is good and the air conditioning works well. The staff is very friendly, which makes it hard to leave a critical review, but I think it’s important to have accurate ratings.

A budget-friendly hotel. The staff are very kind and helpful, and they were especially supportive when my friend had a health issue. They really make you feel comfortable. I especially recommend it if you are solo traveler, it felt safe.
The only downside is that the bathroom is a bit small
Staff, location, room facilities
Location is amazing — right near everything you need. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and well-kept. It’s quiet at night, the beds are comfortable, and the Wi-Fi works well. Great value for money overall. Would definitely stay here again.
Room #4: The bathroom is very small — the toilet seat is just about 20 cm from the wall. If you’re over 180 cm tall, it’s worth checking whether this layout applies to all rooms or just Room #4. The stairs could also be tricky if you’re traveling with small children. None of these points affected my stay, but they’re worth noting if you’re considering this place.
Comfort and cleanliness of the room and the friendly and helpful assistant of the personal
Had a great stay here for 2 weeks. Rooms are clean and modern, the location is great and staff are friendly.
The room is quite small. It's large enough if you're planning to spend most of the day exploring the city but a bit cramped if you're working on a laptop for 6-8 hours at a time like I was some days.
Clean comfortable and friendly staff. Good location for walking to other places.
Very noisy in room because of hospital and people partying/driving in street all night. It was difficult to sleep at all.
I really liked the location close to Taksim and Istiklal, but also near Cihangir and Çukurcuma neighbourhoods with their nice places to eat and antique shops. The attention of all the personnel is super kind and always ready to help. The place was very clean and the double bed was super comfortable. Even though the room is small, especially the bathroom, it's more than enough for a solo traveler like myself, or a couple. My gratitude to Omar, Mert and the rest at the reception, and also Selamet and everyone in charge of cleaning.
If you are a light sleeper you may want to take precautions with earplugs because there might be late night or early hours activity in the hospital facing the hotel.
if i could put 100 stars i would. super welcome, friendly and fun atmosphere. the guys (mert, omar, etc.) are super kind and smiling. the location is great, 5 minutes walk from taksim square and 5 minutes from the tram stop that takes you to the topkapi area and the main tourist attractions. it was a pleasure meeting you and i wish you lots of luck
This is a small hotel perfectly located. They have a great cafe that serves very tasty breakfast and drinks all day long, but you also have plethora of great restaurants around the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The best part of this hotel is all the employees who work there. Everyone is always trying to help you and make you feel at home. We asked them to organize the transportation to / from the airport and it was a seamless process. We loved everything about this place and will definitely come back. Disclaimer: no elevator in the hotel and a lot of stairs, and the place is on a steep street. So if you have difficulties climbing maybe think twice.
pros:a very nice location (next to cihangir area which i liked a lot, a lot of cafes/restaurants that were tourist friendly, also a lot of cats)room was clean, spacious and had big windows (that looked out to the hospital but that was ok)staff was nicevery close to galataport (a very nice shopping/eating area by the sea)cons:this area is on a hill so you will have to go through that every daypublic transport is closeish (taksim metro very close BUT it makes more sense to take the tram and that one is kind of far away and downhillto get to the room you also have to climb a steep and narrow staircase (might have some problems eith luggage but staff offered to help!)the room itself is spacious but the bathroom isnt at all, if you are tall or bigger you will have problems! otherwise you will be finein conclusion:i would recommend this place especially because of the location, but only for people that are more on the smaller side unless you arent bothered by tight spaces!
Great hospitality nice people Omer Farouk was very helpful, I was invited for Iftar on daily basis ,for sure I will come
The staff was excellent—very professional and highly responsive. They promptly addressed any issues I raised. The room and bathroom were spotless, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Overall, a great experience
The street is one of the central streets in Istanbul, so it can be noisy at night, especially if the windows are left open.
Cozy space very warm and clean 2 minutes from all the main roads
Great personnel. Always helpful and ready to give you some tips. Cafe that is located on the ground floor serves fantastic tea and coffee as well as desserts and meals.
The accommodation is in the center of the city, nearby there are options for breakfast, coffee, tea or small shopping. You can quickly reach the main street of Istikal and Taksim square on foot. The room is nicely and practically arranged. Staff very helpful.
There was no water in the whole area for one day and we were not informed about it beforehand
Good location, close to everything in the center. Everything is new and clean.
The soundproof is bad, especially on the first floor, as you hear everything from the reception. And the restroom is very small. However, taking into account the price and location it's worth staying.
