Anthemis Hotel

The room attendant forgot to replenish tea bags, coffee powder and shower supplies for us. Two white shower towels were just placed on the bed and not returned to the shower room.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant, Massa, serves very good food and drinks.

We weren’t allowed to use their rooftop breakfast restaurant to welcome new years eve.

Fantastic location close to all major sites, clean facilities, comfortable beds, modern, great discount on attached restaurant, fresh breakfast, incredible views from terrace, kind staff.

Noise on lower levels facing the pedestrian area with restaurants could be loud late at night. Bring earplugs.

Cannot beat the location. Walk to the Blue Mosque and tram line a 2 minute walk away. Fabulous views for breakfast. Discounted and excellent dinner at the restaurant downstairs.

Location is central and staff very helpful. The breakfast place has a very good vie of the bosphorus and our room alao has a beautiful view of the Blue Mosque

Attitude of the reception, they shutdown cooling system with excuses of the weather changes while it still not cold, we were suffering of our stay as we communicated with booking team but unfortunately they won't respond to us, poor service, the only good things about the place is the location and the stuff working in breakfast area

Location to the major sites. Walking distance to the Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern. Many restaurants and dessert shops.

Anthemis Hotel has a great location for the traveler. A few steps from the Sultanahmet tram stop and close to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern and much more. Lots of restaurant choices. The room was a bit on the small side but nicely done on the inside and functional. They had a delicious breakfast buffet with views of the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and bosphorus. What a way to start the day!

Great location. Clean & staff friendly.

Staff were very helpful and courteous. We were even walked to the place where the uber/taxi was picking us up for the airport. Location was great, somewhat in the middle of the touristy area, but close to tram stop which was a big plus. Very nice breakfast on their rooftop with great views. Close to major historic sites and walkable to many places or the tram is easy and great.Our 5th floor room had great nighttime view of the Blue Mosque.

A bit noisy and very loud early morning call to prayer. But, that is part of the local flavor! If balcony door is open, some sewer smells waft in, so keep the air conditioner on if that is a bother. (Not the hotel's fault).

Location is perfect! Very close to key landmarks and ease access to Metro and Tram

The properly allows smoking and some guests do it inside their rooms instead of using the balcony which is terrible for the air ventilation system. However, management makes its best effort to ensure that guest follow the smoking rules.

Not much for a small hotel

Staff were exceptional, breakfast room with great view with wonderful local food, staff organised taxi transfers, arranged a Doctor to Visit the hotel when my wife became ill they went the extra mile the whole stay.Hotel location is superb

This place surprised us. Initially when we checked in, we were a little underwhelmed by our room, but I've got to tell you - it grew on us! It was clean and comfortable - just a bit dated. I had been disappointed to be on the first floor (just above street level), but in the end, I loved it. We opened the window, let the gauze curtains blow in the breeze and enjoyed the sounds of the city just below. Housekeeping did a great job every day and worked around our schedule. The manager who worked the front desk most days was delightful and helpful. And the highlight was the terrace where breakfast was served. The views blew us away! The Turkish breakfast itself was simple but really good with no shortage of options. The man in charge of that area (who we understand was scheduled to retire the weekend we left) was wonderful and kind. He kept the Turkish coffee and tea flowing and did everything he could to accommodate us. The location of the Anthemis is PERFECT! You open the door and have shops, restaurants and beautiful public squares at your disposal. You are steps away from a main street where the tram runs. Or walking distance from Sultahamet in one direction and the Bosphorus in the other. We've already recommended this place to some friends planning to travel to Istanbul in fall.

It feels trivial given all the great things about this place, but when we got there, I asked for an extra pillow and was told by a younger staff member that it probably wasn't possible, but he'd "check". Never heard back and never got the pillow. Mentioned to the manager the next day because the one pillow was hurting my neck who said without hesitation that he'd get me one immediately. And he did.
