Barbera Hotel

From the first minute we arrived, the owner, welcomed us at the door. She made sure to explain and answer all our questions. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Wwe liked the family feel to this hotel. Excellent location and we felt very safe.

The location is super central to all the tourist sites, you're basically right outside of Gulhane Park and Topkapi Palace Museum, you're also in an area that's specially catered to tourists, so lots of restaurants and bars, bonus are the 24 Hours dessert shop Hafiz Mustafa, you can get coffee and sweets any time of the day.

It was perfect for my one night stay so I have no complaints here to be honest. For what I've paid, the ease of getting there from HVIST11, it was a breeze getting in and out of Istanbul.

A small boutique hotel with the friendliest staff you would ever care to meet. I didn’t love Istanbul- too many people for my taste- but the hotel and staff made my 5 days there so enjoyable I hated to leave. Many many thanks for a superb stay- I can’t recommend this place more highly.

Perfect location to most attractions, and things to do in Istanbul. The location is walkable to Sultanahmet area, Topkapi palace, Hagia Sophia, and Blue Mosque. We visited most of the popular tourist spots from our hotel without taking a taxi. The public transportation is also easy to access from this hotel. We walked from our hotel to Galata bridge, Galata tower, all the way to taksim square. The staff was wonderful always helpful, courteous , and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very well located, pretty close to the Galata Bridge. It's about 30min walk from Istiklal Cd and in the heart of the Sultanahmet region. We walked everywhere. The breakfast was great, with even options to order, like omelettes and pancakes. Murat was very friendly from the beginning, helping us out with everything and Kuşat as well. They really made a difference.

The only thing that was a problem during our trip was the mini fridge. We like to buy local stuff and store in the mini fridge to try whenever we like, but we ended up losing a few things because it was not working.

Amazing host, ideal location for first-time Istanbul visitors. Great breaksfast. Close to the T1 tram and ferries. Overall a recommendation, if we come back to Istanbul, we'll book this place. We stayed 5 nights and were very satisfied.

Friendly and extremely accommodating staff, clean, convenient location, and quiet.

Nice location, rather quiet place. Good breakfast with local food, not a plenty buffet breakfast, but you have a possibility to add dishes from menu (omelette, eggs, pancakes and so on). Any time coffee or tea option in room or in the bar. Very friendly staff.

We liked all ! The hotel has a perfect location, close to the important points and with good connections. The room was big, bed comfy and everything really clean. The breakfast is delicious, complete and with some dishes prepared at the moment. Finally, the most valuable thing, the friendly staff, it was nice to arrive late from our trip and have a welcoming drink and every morning and night get some warm words and smile. Also, the last day we left early before breakfast and they prepared us some sandwiches to take away. In conclusion, the stay exceeded our expectations and we would repeat without hesitation.

In the middle of Fatih, easy location of you want to go shopping! Lots of food joints and shopping areas around.

The breakfast was extremely poor compared to other hotels where we have been. There is an a la carte menu that you have to order from. When you do order, there is a massive wait for just a meagre/tiny portion that comes out of that kitchen. Won’t be back due to the breakfast.

Very comfortable, cosy and clean hotel. Perfect location, close to top touristic spots and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very tasty.

We were upgraded to bigger room and bed and we didnt have to pay for our son. We also had an amazing breakfast provided and we love the coffee so much.
