Galata Greenland Hotel

Very good location - within walking distance of some of the main sights just over the bridge, as well as things closer in Karak�y. Nice breakfast (served in adjoining hotel at the moment). Helpful staff.

Some maintenance issues (water leak from the floor above into the bathroom) and lights in the room that were missing lightbulbs or couldn't be plugged in. Plus it generally seems a bit disorganized and not professionally run. Nonetheless was good value.

I had a wonderful time here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was really good especially for the price. The hotel is hardly 5 mins walk from Galata Tower so 10/10 for location. They have a 24/7 WhatsApp number and the response time is great! My flight wasn't until a few hours after my checkout so the staff was kind enough to offer keeping my luggage with them after check out.

Our flush wasn’t working well in the room. We travelled in Dec and it was very cold, but the heater wasn’t working aswell

Unfortunately, apart from the location, everything else was a bad experience. The room was very old, ugly, and poorly maintained. The bathroom was in terrible condition: the toilet was almost detached from the floor and positioned so close to the sink that it was impossible to sit properly. Everything felt dirty and unhygienic.Every single day we had to ask for toilet paper and towels, as they were not replenished. At the sixth floor, where the breakfast buffet is served, there was even a mouse running around the dining area — completely unacceptable.To make things worse, after we checked out, the hotel contacted me claiming that I hadn’t paid for the initial taxi from the airport, which I had already paid for in full. Overall, a very disappointing stay and definitely not recommended.

The room area was small for 3 persons.The sofa bed for 3rd guest wasn't comfortable. The bathroom is too small.There is no telephone facility for room service, etc. Guests have to contact reception thru WhatsApp only.

Everything was excellent. The cleanliness of the room and the service were excellent. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel's location was perfect, close to the tower.

Well, there are some empty dirty half destr buildings on the other side. My kids wanted even to go explore. I was worried to let them go as it doesn't feel safe.

Walking distance to Galata tower and Istiklal street. Staff are very accomodating and helpful. Good value for your money.

Really love the room we stayed in, super spacious, sea view. Location is superb, just 2-3 mins away from Galata Tower, but not so close so it is noisy. Breakfast was okay.

It’s on a hilly area (Galata Tower area is on a hill). If you have mobility problem, consider another option. It’s not the hotel’s problem though.

Manager at check in who was not turkish started taking to me in russian language right away, however I talked to him in english. It's really offensive from his side.Spa was good but deep tissue massage was not deep at all))Rooftop restauran is the worst part of my stay.We went only for couple drinks, but they didn't have any options which they do in menu.They only had vine and nothing else. Very expensive prices even for the roof top.

Kind hotel staff in a quiet, local part of Galata. Good location to walk downhill to Karakoy, and walking distance (uphill) to Galata Tower and surrounds. Staff were friendly and helpful in arranging taxi. Room was comfortable and a good size. Lifts were functional. Breakfast option which we didn't use.

N/A for the hotel itself. Location meant more walking (including uphill) so may not be appropriate for all travelers. If you are in Istanbul and happy to walk, no issues.

Great location and great reception! I love how it was close to a lot of places and restaurants. We were able to walk almost everywhere, and get to the places we wanted to.

Location is perfect. Yes there are routes where roads are steep but google maps also directed us to routes easier to walk on esp for my parents. On the quiet side of Galata. Lovely staff. Room had netflix so I’m glad I didn’t have to log in via my account and go through tedious log in. Very clean place.

As someone petite I didn’t have issues with the bathroom but my parents who are average said that their bathroom was small.
