Brown Mansion Oldcity

Our room was comfortable and charming, we especially liked the wooden ceiling, and the mini fridge was a welcome convenience. The hotel sits on a quaint street with a lovely little park at the end, and it’s only about a 15-minute walk to major sites and tourist attractions. Breakfast at the small restaurant on the corner was consistently good each morning. The staff were pleasant, accommodating, and extremely responsive. When an unexpected leak from the ceiling woke us in the middle of the night, we messaged reception on WhatsApp and received an immediate reply. They promptly moved us to another room for the night and comped one night of the stay.

These issues aren’t entirely unexpected in an older building, but they’re worth noting for future guests. The bathroom plumbing emitted a strong, unpleasant odor, so we had to keep the sink drain closed and the bathroom door shut to avoid the smell drifting into the room. Noise insulation is also limited—you can clearly hear guests using the stairs, and conversations from adjacent rooms come through the walls. None of this ruined our stay, but it’s helpful to know in advance.

Everything was amazing! It was spotless, Emir was super helpful and absolutely loved the breakfast (especially the pink hotel).Perfect, cozy location.Can't wait to stay there again!

The room was clean and good facilities. Staff members were very helpful..even gave us an early checkin when they saw that we were tired.They would answer to our queries and helped us to navigate around.Overall very good experience.

The noises on the street during the night!

Property on really nice location. Good breakfast on the same street. Wifi was working perfect. Poor sound insulation from street and upper floors. Sometimes there are problem with electricity.

Adequate but we did not get to stay at the promised apartment as they had a “water issue” and we wee given another room and two loads of washing free.

I loved it’s location. Staff is really great and attentive, they helped me with everything needed and they were accessible 24/7. Location was very good, every major sightseeing was nearby. Breakfast was nice.

Cafe where we had our breakfast had great staff, but prices were too high. Even at the central places and at the most well known cafes were more affordable. When we arrived we payed different amount for food and the next day menu prices were changed, this is why we only had our breakfast there which was included in our stay and we were eating our lunch and dinner at different places

The stay was very good. The room was very clean. The reception was available 24*7 and helpful in all time. Mr. Shahid who is in the office is very corporative and helping. The service is worth the value paid. Uber facilities is available at any time. Brrakfast given was good (Turkish breakfast)

WiFi was little bit slow. Room was little less in space.

Breakfast was good with a lovely ambience. Easy access to historical sites. Variety of restaurants all around. Staff with was friendly approach.

Overall good stay. Bad smell from the toilet . Suggest to make an alternative when an electricity shut down.

this is brand new property with awsome location and fantastic amenities. it offers comfy stay in the heart of city with lots of eating options around. i would recommend this to everyone

Breakfast was in the seperate restaurant and a bit expensive.

The reception was always available when we needed something, and i guess they tried their best to help.The food was very good too! The location was nice. The room looked just like on the pictures. The bathroom was very nice and clean!

The ceiling was licking so there were water drops falling from it right on our bed, any time our upper neighbours took a shower... This also caused a humidity in our room, We already felt on our first day that it stinks, but instead of giving us another room, they just asked the cleaning lady to do something abt it. As we found out the stink came from both of the drain and the rotten ceiling. Which is also not good for our health... There was a constant issue with the wifi too...

Lovely characterful room in a quiet street only a short walk from the main sights. Good breakfast in the cafe opposite.

Comfortable and spotlessly clean! Probably a recently renovated building. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. A safe with a code. New towels every morning, new bed linen every other day. For all recommendations, especially if you know Istanbul, then it is not difficult for you to walk to the tram, because it takes 15-20 minutes uphill.

The Internet was often lost, even though we are not in the building all day, in the evening when you come it is really needed. We bought unlimited Internet through the application, so that was a mitigating circumstance. The breakfast is minimalist and when you stay for 6 nights, you get tired of eating the same thing. There were 6 of us. The amount of food they put on us was really not enough. We had to settle for one egg per person with some cheese and spread on bread. I don't know, maybe we're hungry. ?

We are in Istanbul every year and this facility is really impeccably clean, and the neighborhood is quieter than the others. .They change the towels every morning and the sheets every other day! To be praised! . It is very good that they have a safe in the room. The building is on Sultan Ahmed, but it is 15 minutes away from the main street. You are going uphill and should choose a route that is less strenuous. The facility is not located near the tram, but it is not so important to us because we go out already at 8 a.m. for breakfast, which is served in the restaurant across the street from the accommodation. That breakfast is okay, but it gets boring to eat the same thing every morning, especially if you are staying for several days. They charge something different. All in all, they would be satisfied with what they serve. I believe that we will return to the same facility, because the most important thing is that we are satisfied with the cleanliness. The cat Miloš welcomed us and saw us off.Thank you?

Breakfast should really be more varied.

The whole street and house of the hotel were lovely. Yellow cat was awesome, I hope somebody feeds it.

I didn’t like that slippers and towels were changed every day. There is no need for that.

The apartment with access to the courtyard is traditional yet modern, very cosy, clean and well looked after. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The area is close to everything, you can even walk to the Bosporus.Delicious and plentiful breakfast is served at Restaurant Begonville in the same street. You can also dine there at moderate prices, they offer a wide selection of skilfully prepared dishes.We would like to take this opportunity to thank both the teams once again for making our trip a wonderful experience including culinary delights with a personal touch in the one of the most beautiful quarters of Istanbul.

This our second stay at Brown Mansion. As usual everything was beyond perfect. From the room to the breakfast. Will definitely come back. Huge shoutout to Shah, Aziz and Ilayda for their kindness and hospitality.
